What I read today was about the volcano that finally erupted and what happened was at London, Heathrow Airport passengers were looking for any open flights but all flights were cancelled due to the skies that they were to cloudy to fly through so several students and teachers were stuck there and are still.

In today's paper I read an article about online gaming. In the article many people stress the hate speech issue. Gamers sit back and play games online exchanging various hate words throughout the game. Now people are trying to institute a better gaming atmosphere. The words and racist slurs being said hurt many people. The owners of the game products such as Microsoft are tiring to regulate this now. Because this can be a very be thing under some circumstances. I think that the stuff being said most people don’t even care about. For all we know the person saying it is on the other side of the country. They should be worried about bigger stuff then this.

This morning I read an article about a man who hung himself in Northern California. Before Alan Leo Peters II hung him self on an old bridge in Placerville, he delivered his obituary to a newspaper. The body of Peters was found hanging by a yellow rope. The Mountain Democrat newspaper published part of his suicide note with his obituary. The man wrote that he had been suffering from emphysema and had trouble breathing. The suicide not also contained a $90 money order which is the cost of publishing an obituary. I think that this story is really sad. I think he must have been very depressed. I think his family should have helped him get into an INSTITUTE that could have helped him REGULATE his depression. I think it is really weird that he delivered his own obituary though.
Monday- Today I read about a stash of shovels and pickaxes, a T-shirt and jeans were among the items seized from the Lake Elsinore home of John Albert Gardner III more than a week after he was arrested in the slaying of Poway teenager Chelsea King, according to search-warrant records. The documents were obtained by Los Angeles radio station KFI AM 640 and posted on the station’s Web site Thursday. The warrant is one of at least four that have been filed in the case. All are under court-ordered seal. The District Attorney’s Office also declined to comment, citing a gag order in the case. Steve Gregory, the report who obtained the documents, said in an interview that the warrant was not illegally obtained but was leaked to him. He said he had not been contacted by the authorities about the leak as of Thursday afternoon.
Today on the news paper I read about how a volcanic cloud grounds flights, a tremendous cloud of volcanic ash drifted from Iceland across northern Europe on Thursday and accomplish to get hundreds of flights canceled to much of the continent. Visitors were stuck and Americans planning on trans Atlantic travel in the next few days scrambled to rework their itineraries or cancel the trips' also read about how feds in Arizona stage big human smuggling raid. Federal agents arrested nearly fifty shuttle operators and smugglers. They have been accused of using shuttles to transport thousands of illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to phoenix feds say it’s the largest smuggling bust ever they said that the shuttles were specially made for the smugglings.

In today's news I read about a kidnapping that happen in Rosarito of an 18 years old U.S. Citizen last month, and the death of her Mexican boyfriend. The girls family owns a small business in Rosarito Beach and usually active in the community. Jose Leonardo Vela Robles, 25, was killed in March 30, the same day he was abducted with his girlfriend. The girl who is 7 months pregnant was held for three days and left for dead in Rosarito Beach neighborhood on April 3 after her kidnapper tried to slice her throat. He said that two of the suspects assailants had gone to the victims residence and asked for a ride to Tijuana. Once they were there the couple separated. The guy who killed the young girl was Baltazar Ochoa Pineda, 29, a U.S. citizen who confessed that he did killed Vela because she failed to pay her debt of $400.

Monday- Today I read about some guy trying to say that god helped him find a missing girl. The story read that there was a little girl missing for about three days in a very dense forest. Then a man said that he went out to look for the little girl because god told him to. The man then said he would yell out her name until he heard her. He found her in a very dense swamp full of bug bites and dehydrated. The man then called 911 and they helped him out. The article then stated that the little girl said she would pray for god to lead her home. Then it was said that the man and the little girl went to the same church.
This was a B.S story because the man was lying about god leading him to the little girl and he knows he is. It was just luck that he found her and he is trying to just give someone that doesn't exist. I think that people like that are going to live in hell.
I learned that even people that go to church lie about things all the time.
Monday- Today I read about an ex-sheriff who picked up a prostitute and took her to a part in Mission Valley and groped her un-willingly. The girl is a prostitute and will most likely not testify against him or even say anything because of the position she is in and what her occupation is. This man is going to spend some time in prison with the big boy’s for the crime that he has committed and I actually hope he get’s hurt in there. I want him to get more time then he got from the judge I wish the judge gives him like ten years or something. And for him being a cop and groping girls on the street I hope something happens to him in there ;)
I think that this guy is disgusting for what he does and he talks about he’s a proud coop and woopty woo he needs to be quiet with all that because he has no respect or pride.
Tuesday- Today I read about a seaborne attempt to smuggle 23 people into the United States was thwarted Wednesday morning by authorities. The 17 males and six females were taken to the U.S. Border Patrol’s Imperial Beach Station and are expected to be deported. Border Patrol agents on patrol saw a small panga fishing boat about 5:45 a.m. approaching a beach near San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station, authorities said. Agents saw four people exit the boat, quickly caught them and called for help in stopping the boat, which returned to sea. Vessels from Customs and Border Protection and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department closed in on the smuggling boat, which returned back to shore, and the remaining 19 people tried to escape, authorities said. Authorities have thwarted four smuggling attempts by sea during the past six days.

In today’s news, a package containing lithium batteries exploded at a Federal Express distribution center. A small, square box had just been handled by an employee and was on a chute when there was a flash and loud explosion. The building was immediately evacuated and REGULATED by INSTITUTED Metro Arson Strike Team bomb squad was called. The package was investigated and determined that the package contained only commercial type batteries that happened to have an accident. Charged batteries can overheat and ignite under certain condition CIRCUMSTANCEs.

This morning I read about how the earthquake in Xining China. I read that there were rescuers looking through the rubble for people who were stuck under it. The 6.9 earthquake killed more than 600 people and injured thousands. The series of quakes ruined a lot of buildings and sent survivors which were all bleeding from injuries into the streets. Local Officials said that 85 percent of the buildings had been destroyed. Several schools were completely ruined, and 56 students died. The worst hit was a the Yushu Vocational School . Twenty two students were there and 20 of them were girls had died. The death toll had risen to 617, and with more than 8,000 others were injured.
I wonder why out of no where there is so many earthquakes. I also feel bad for these people and hope they can manage to pick themselves up.
Tuesday-
Today I read about a Woman and a man who were convicted of luring a Peruvian to come to the U.S promising a job, but instead holding her captive as a slave. This lady took the Peruvian woman’s documents and forced her to work for no pay. She was sentenced to six years in prison. Zoraida Pena Canal was enslaves as a household servant from summer 2006 to spring 2008. “This case accurately captures the face of human trafficking now as we see it in contemporary society.” It is said that cases like this have been harder to prosecute because of coercion is psychological, not physical or legal. “ Two years ago, an amendment to the 2000 Trafficking Victims Protection Act clarified that threats to a persons reputation, their family and other forms of psychological pressure also amount to coercion.”
I don’t know what it is, but I am noticing that there is so many crimes going on, on the daily. I don’t know if the crime rate is increasing, or maybe if I was blind to what was going on because I did not read the newspapers everyday. I also think that this lady that was tricked is lucky she was not used in the kind of human trafficking that sells woman for sex. She should be grateful in a way. She is also getting paid a lot of money !
Tuesday- Today I read about a scene straight out of a movie happen in real life. The situation was that a bank was robbed where everyone was ordered to get on the floor. There were three men that went inside the bank. While one ordered everyone to the floor and the other two jumped over the counter to get the money. Nobody was hurt except a few tellers were pushed and kicked in the head. The men then were seen leaving in a white sedan. They did get away and were not seen again but investigators have a brief description of these men. The cash amount was not said to have been yet released.
This was a good article because it gave all the information I needed. I think the men that this did this have really no care for their lives. The police are dumb not to be able to find these men.
I learned that it really is easy to rob a bank and that you can do it with a few friends and some guns.
TOMBALL, Texas -- Nine students were taken to a hospital after their school bus was involved in a collision on Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
the bus was headed to Northpointe Intermediate School. Eighteen students and a driver were on board.
School district officials said nine of the students were taken to a hospital for treatment of various injuries. Their conditions were not released.
Deputies have not said if anyone inside the pickup truck was injured.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Wednesday- Today I read about A man by the name of Joseph Diliberti and ex marine who served in Vietnam. I read about how there were complaints about his weeds and shrubs and he needs to cut them down and trim them fore some type of safety. But honestly I think that they need to give this guy a break for a couple reasons because he is an old man and he will have no place to go if his home gets auctioned on the first. That’s not cool they can’t just put someone out of their house especially an old man who has no place to go. When you take a look at this guy he looks like a straight out bum and if the city puts him out then that’s what he will become. I think that the city needs to give him another chance to hire someone to do it for him if not then have the city hire someone because the fines are really out of line he only has one source of income from the military.
In today’s paper I read an article about a cop getting prison time. The Ex-Cop is facing jail time for assaulting a prostitute. He was part of a married family before he drove a known prostitute into a Mission Valley parking lot. Now faces the circumstances for assaulting the victim by groping her against her will. I think SD should regulate the cops better. As the days go by more and more cops are thinking there above the law. They gave the man three years to the max. They should of gave him more time then that in the Prison Institute.
Wednesday- Today I read an article about a man that built his home of clay. This man was said to have to pay 63,000 dollars in fines of his home. The reason is because the country is trying to charge him for having weeds around. The man said he wasn’t going to pay because it was not his problem. This man is said to live in a tree house on his property in which he made an entire house of clay and straw. The man said that the county is just looking for ways to bring his property into auction. The property is said to be going into auction. The owner stated that he is not going any where and doesn’t know what will happen next.
This was a sad article because it just shows how you cant have anything in this country. The reason is because the government tries to tax everything you own. The government needs to stop trying to tax everything and let people live happy.
I learned that you cannot have anything in the U.S because then the government tries to make money out of that.

This morning I read about how people from Ejido Johnson, Mexico are scared to go back to their homes. They are scared ever since the 7.2 earthquake that hit on Easter Sunday. A mile away from their homes, the community's 65 families are sleeping under tarps, and tents in Sonoran Desert. They are scared that another earthquake will bury them to their death. Although many communities suffered extensive damage, few faced such disorder. Nearly all the houses there are considered inhabitable. In Baja Sonora the government pledged to relocate the homeless residents with promises of land and building materials. The residents are trying to make it through.
I think that this is sad. Mexico has not been having the best few years, then an earthquake has to hit. I hope that the government keeps their promise, and that the residents make sturdy homes.

This morning I read an article about a 100 year old pedophile who violated his parole by skipping his sex offender classes. Theodor Sypnier of Buffalo New York was ordered to serve two more years in prison on Friday. He was released to a half way house last fall after serving 18 months in prison for the same kind of violation. He was released from prison in 2008, after serving time on a 1999 conviction for molesting two young sisters. His own daughter says the Sypnier molested her and other neighborhood girls when she was young. I think that this old disgusting man should die in prison. This just shows that sexual predators can never be fixed or rehabilitated. They should INSTITUTE these creepers for life. And there should be no CIRCUMSTANCES where they could be released.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Leavenworth, Kansas police said a stranger who found more than $1,400 in a parking lot last week has returned the money. Detective Chris Nicholson said he was contacted by the man, who found $1,460 near a supermarket. The money was accidentally dropped by a man who had just sold a car. Nicholson said the man was unemployed and struggling financially and took the money to pay bills.
But the man then got a job and the money was never spent. Police said the victim was happy and does not want to pursue criminal charges.

Today I read about the policy change in the National weather service. Fire warnings will be more meaningful. Officials hope that policy shift will save money as well. What’s changing is the old criteria with many red flag alerts were issued when the relative humidity level in the region was projected to dip to 10 percent lower for 10 hours or more. The New criteria is with sustained winds of at least 25 mph or frequent gusts of 35 mph combined with 15 percent or lower humidity over at least six hours. The expectation about half as many red flag warnings.

In today's news I read about 12 people were missing and seven were critically injured after an explosion on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The explosion happened about 10 p.m. Tuesday on a rig named the Deepwater Horizon. It was about 52 miles southwest of Venice, Louisiana. The fire was still burning Wednesday morning. Several people were hospitalized, including at least two, who were taken to a mobile trauma center. A substantial majority of the 126-member crew is safe, but some crew members remain unaccounted for at this time. The company describes itself as the world's largest offshore drilling contractor saying it has 140 offshore drilling units. The survivor is just outside the cabin take it up slow, take it up slow a voice instructs as a basket carrying the person is winched up from the platform. A rescuer steadies the cable with his hand and stops the basket's spinning as the survivor reaches the helicopter.

Wednesday- Today I read about the death of 14-year-old Florida boot camp inmate Martin Lee Anderson, the U.S. Department of Justice has announced no federal criminal civil rights charges will be filed against eight staff members. In 2007, a Florida jury found seven guards and a nurse not guilty of manslaughter and related charges in Anderson's death. Anderson was African-American, and the guards were white and African-American. Anderson died on January 5, 2006. It was his first day at the Bay County Sheriff's Office Boot Camp, and after orientation, a security camera showed he was sent to the yard for a run, with other inmates. He complained of fatigue, but staff members testified at the state trial that they thought he was faking. A nurse checked his vital signs and said he was fine. The guards could then be seen, on videotape enhanced by NASA, using a series of techniques used to gain Anderson's compliance. The tactics included pushing smelling salts up his nose and punching him.
This morning on the morning news paper I read about how the us demands forces to delay the ipad foreign release. Responding to strong demand in the united states for its ipad apple said Wednesday that it would delay the worldwide release of tablet computers for a month. Faced with this surprisingly strong us demand they have to stop selling the product for at least the end of may. The company said that it had delivered more than 500000 ipads during the first week they also said that the demand was much higher than what they expected the first day it went on sale they sold 300000 the first day the first countries expected to get the ipad is Canada, Australia, Britain, France, Germany, and Japan they expect to sell around 1.25 million.
Thursday- Today I read about Color-changing frogs, the world's longest stick insect and a slug that shoots "love darts" are among the biological "treasure" discovered by scientists in the lush green heart of Borneo. Scientists have found 123 new species of animals, insects and plants on the South East Asian island since the three governments that control the land signed a pact to safeguard its future in 2007.The new species are on a list released Thursday by the World Wildlife Fund also known as “WWF” to mark Earth Day and to raise awareness of the value of protecting areas rich in biodiversity. I think that this is cool how they are finding all these new species. Hopefully they find something really cool that would attract money and will make good business because if there is something like that then ill find it and make money.
Thursday
In today’s paper I read an article about protestors of the right hold guns. In the article many protestors went to Denver to protest the second amendment. Not worried about the circumstance, they brought along there guns also. These men wore pistols in the holsters, and assault weapons strapped to there back. The state tried to regulate the no weapons law. But these men see otherwise. I don’t see how these men were able to do that. If a bunch of black people go there guns and got together like that, they would probably arrest us and send us to a prison institute. The second amendment gives us the right to bare arms, but they have other amendments that pretty much eliminate the second one.
Thursday- Today I read about a 14 year old driver and his teenage passenger were injured and two other teens were arrested early Monday after police say they were involved in a high-speed drag race in stolen cars. An officer spotted two Hondas without their lights on heading west on East Plaza Boulevard near Interstate 805 about 1:45 a.m., said National City Sgt. Mike Harlan. The officer tried to pull them over and the cars sped off, continuing on Plaza, where they reached speeds of 70 to 80 mph. As they drove down the road, they began to sideswipe each other. One of the cars crashed into a traffic light as it was making a right turn at National City Boulevard. The driver was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters. He and a 14 year old was both suffered broken bones and were taken to a hospital. A 16 year old was uninjured, and he was taken into custody.

This morning I read a story about a teenager in New York who was convicted on Monday for manslaughter as a hate crime. It’s a racially motivated attack, with the CIRCUMSTANCE that Conroy is white. Jeffrey Conroy stabbed and killed an Ecuadorian immigrant in 2008. he was also found guilty of gang assault in the murder, as well as attempted assault on three other Hispanic. This case has put a spotlight on anti-Hispanic violence on Long Island. I think that this is a very sad story. I don’t think someone should hate someone because they aren’t a certain race. I think that schools should maybe teach kids to be accepting of other races at a young age, because they are probably being taught to hate at home. Maybe that could REGULATE hate towards people based on their race.
thursday-
This morning I read about a multiagency operation whose job it is to destroy gangs involved in cross border crimes. The crimes that are targeted are drug and human smuggling. This operations resulted in the arrest of 282 people arrested this weekend. The operation is known as “Operation Allied Shield”, this operation involved 480 local, state, and federal law enforcement. The people that were arrested were either gang members or gang associates. They were either charged with probation or parole violation, or drug possession. Several weapons were found, and also some drugs, not a lot though. One of the investigators said that there is a connection between local gangs and Mexican crime gangs.
I think that that the effort these people put in trying to catch all these people, should be the type of effort they should put in helping out others, like immigrants who want to live here, or an issue like child soldiering. I also think that gangs are stupid, I see no point in claiming a territory. Anyways, I hope these people who got arrested learn right from wrong, so they can stop getting locked up, or in trouble all the time.

In today's news I read about a 14 year old driver and a teenager passenger who got injured and two others that were taken in for custody. An officer from the city spotted two Hondas without their lights on were heading WEST on east Plaza Blvd. near the interstate 805 about 1:45 a.m. one of the officers from the city know to get nasty was chasing them and tried to pull them over but they eventually fled away going down the plaza boulevard, they were going 70mph to 80mph. As they were driving down the plaza they started to sideswipe each other playing bumper cars for like a mile. Once they hit NATIONAL CITY blvd one of the drivers crashed into a stop light as it was making a right turn. The driver was stuck in his vehicle and couldn’t get out until one of the city firefighter helped him out. The driver and his partner suffered some broken bones and were taken to the emergency room. His other partner was 16 he suffered some injuries too but was taken into custody. The other car fled the city officers leading them into delta street near north HIGHLAND avenue in South crest, which the two drivers got off the car and starting running away from the cops. They were jumping over fences and running through yards which he eventually got away.

Today I read about the Camp Pendleton Infantry Immersion trainer simulator. The training ground covers about 32,000 square feet. Just last month the entire camp was remodeled.
It was changed to look like an Afghan village. The practice bullets that are used in the simulator are marked with chalked. They also use holograms that are civilians or terrorists. The weapons are real as well as the combat stress. The prototype simulator is called “Mixed-Reality”. There are even real explosions. That’s why they think that the combat stress is real. Some of the grounds where the training takes place in are city sized sets.
Today on the Thursday morning newspaper I read about how a big majority of people say that pot has much medical benefits. Most Americans still oppose legalizing marijuana but the majority believes pot has medical benefits and they said that the government should allow its use for that purpose. The reason some people are against is because crime would spike up and also because this so called drug will lead them to even harder drugs like heroin or cocaine. California voters will vote this upcoming November whether to legalize the drug. In the polls only 33 present favor to legalize and 55 percent oppose people under 30 was the majority to make it legal people against it are 65 and older.
African-American farmers hoping for government settlement money in a racial bias case met with lawmakers Wednesday and called on Congress to come up with a way to fund the $1 billion deal.
March 31 deadline to appropriate the funds has passed,
farmers now may withdraw from the settlement and pursue independent litigation against the government.
Congress now has a target date of the end of May to come up with a plan.
Severe weather was predicted to hit the southern plains Friday, a day after at least three tornadoes ripped through the area.
Two of the twisters hit near Goodnight and one more hit near Jericho on Thursday evening.
There were no reports of injuries or damage, Preston said.
Severe thunderstorms were predicted to hit parts of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa on Friday.

This morning I read about how a man was convicted for raping his daughter. This was not all he was in trouble for, he also murdered his son, that was fathered by his daughter. He had fathered four children to his daughter, but the fourth one died because he did not seek medical treatment for the sick boy before he died. The father was charged with second degree murder, second degree rape, and two counts of incest and two counts of abandonment of a corpse. His daughter had gave birth to her first child by her own dad at the age of 14. She also was first raped when she was five years old. Out of all the children she gave birth two, only one survived. The father was arrested in 2009 after one of his daughters sisters contacted authorities. Two bodies of babies were found in coolers buried on the property.
I think that this is disgusting! So much of this is happening, and that’s really sad. The daughter will never be the same again. Even if she tried, she could not forget since she had so many kids with her dad.
today on the Friday morning news paper I read about how two men were arrested on a boat for having 382 pounds of marijuana. Us customs and border protection marine interdiction agents who boarded a fishing boat at the mouth of san Diego bay in the darkness on Monday when the boat was being searched they were surprised to find more than 300 pounds of marijuana the two people taken into custody were two women ages 34 and 36 both women were us citizens the exact place were they were caught was in point Loma at 2 am the marijuana was in 24 packages and the if it was being sold the weed would be worth 190,000 dollars. I also read about how 21 people were arrested because of sweep targeting gang members.

This morning I read a story about a man who fathered three kids with his own daughter. A jury convicted a 47 year old man on Tuesday of raping his daughter and murdering one of the four children he fathered with her. She testified that her father first had sex with her when she was five. She gave birth to her first child at the age of 14 in Oklahoma. It was a girl but she died four months later after falling off a couch in the RV that they lived in two years later she had a son, the only surviving child. A year later she had another son who died after becoming ill and not receiving medical attention. They moved to Missouri soon after the birth of the first child and lived in the RV for several years on property owned by the father’s mother. The father was arrested in 2009 after one of the daughters sisters contacted authorities and investigators found the body of two babies in coolers buried on the property. I think this story is really disgusting and I feel really bad for the daughter. I think that these are some very unique CIRCUMSTANCES and he should be put away for life.
Friday- Today I read about a robber with a beer belly showed a demand note to a teller in a Clairemont bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday morning, police said. The man walked into the Chase branch on Balboa Avenue near Genesee Avenue about 10:30 a.m. He was seen walking away from the bank. No weapon was seen, the FBI said. The robber was described as white or Latino, about 45 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 230 to 250 pounds, with black hair and a mustache. He had on a blue Napa Auto Parts baseball cap, sunglasses, a black T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers. The police said that he might be armed and dangerous and could be anywhere in society. Today I read an article about the NFL draft. In it they talked about the Chargers schedule. The season opener starts with Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 13, 2010. The chargers picked Ryan Mathews in the first round from Fresno State. Mathews was picked 12th overall. He ran a 4.45 in the 40 yd. dash, completed 19 reps in bench press, 36 in. vertical jump, and 4.33 sec 20 yd. shuttle. Mathews is 6ft 218 pounds which is good size for a running back.

Today I read an article about sports team and new players added to their team’s rosters and trades. Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburg Steelers got suspended for six games for violating the NFL’s rule of personal conduct as routine business. The six week suspension might cause the Steelers organization to consider trading their starting quarterback to another team. The Chargers picked up Brian Price, a defensive linemen from UCLA. The 6ft 303 pound linemen was said to go late first round or early second round. Since Jamal Williams is gone this pick up will come in handy. Daniel Williams, nose tackle, Tennessee, is consider to be the best nose tackle in the this years draft.
