In today's news I read about Six of the suspected gunmen responsible for the killings of 72 migrants in Mexico have been identified. However, all of the suspects are dead. Three were killed in a confrontation with the Mexican navy after the bodies were discovered, and three others were found dead inside a vehicle on the side of a highway. The dead suspects were identified by the survivors of last month's massacre at a ranch near the town of San Fernando in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas. Three people are believed to have survived the mass killings although only one an Ecuadorean man has spoken publicly. Mexican authorities have withheld details about survivors citing safety concerns. A seventh suspect was arrested and is being held by authorities while they investigate possible charges against him. Of the 72 migrants who were killed, 27 had been identified and their bodies returned to their home countries in Honduras and El Salvador. The officers said the preliminary investigation shows that the Zetas drug cartel was responsible for the killings.

Tuesday- Today I read about fifteen bears that hang out around a man’s house. And what they were used for was to protect the crop that are being grown there. What’s so important about these crop’s is probably going through your mind right about now huh? Well the crops that this man is growing is pot, weed, marijuana whatever you want to call it. That’s what this man is trying to protect. I also read about the well known celebrity Paris Hilton. While incarcerated she does have special treatment she will deny it but she does. But of course she would with her money she can get anything but not a jail free card, for now. She was also probably treated differently because there people in jail that want her or want to harm her. They didn’t want to take any chances. She had a bad strategy in jail. Her previous incarceration is where she should have learned her lesson but no that didn’t stop her. There is no other alternatives for her now.

Tuesday- Today I read on the Cnn News that a Canadian man says he was feeding bears, but the animals were guarding a marijuana crop. Guy started feeding one bear and more bears started to come. He says that these bears are guarding his pot he doesn’t mind. If one bear starts acting bad he will get rid of them but they haven't done no harm to no one. He also says most are babies that when they grow older they will leave and go to the wild live. Bears are wild animals but this guy takes care of them like if they were pets. I would like to have a bear as a pet but it will never happen.

Rafael…today I read about this girl that was kidnapped when she was 10 and she didn’t escape until she was 18. Wolfgang Priklopil abducted this Natascha Kampusch and keep her in a subterranean bunker which was initially equipped with just a bed, toilet and sink. This guys strategy was to give her Stockholm Syndrome, he would play psychological games to get her to think he was the good guy. He would lie to her that there was no alternate but to stay with him because her parents didn’t want her and people order him to keep her. Previous to her stay she had hair but there he made her shave her head and work as a domestic slave half naked. She tried several suicide attempts because of all the stuff this guy would do to her. He would beat her up about 200 times a week. Now that she's become a media personality she is working on television shows.

Toni Ma'ree ; Tuesday - Today I was reading about two teenagers in Montana who accidently texted a local sheriff trying to get some marijuana. The two teens the whole entire time were texting the wrong person , a whole different person which they thought was their PREVIOUS man from before . The text message that was sent , was ended up being received by the local sheriff who wrote back. They were two 15 and 16 year old boys , when August 25 the message was sent and read as “hey dawg , do you have 20 I can buy right now?”. When the sheriff received the text message he thought it was a joke but he ALTERNATIVELY continued on with the conversation and texted back “how much we talking ? , ” the boys texted back “I need 20 right now do you have any?” as the whole time not knowing that they texted the wrong number , that was only off by one. The sheriff then handed the case over to an officer who ended up meeting the two later that day. When the two teenagers showed up the officer showed them his badge and one of the boys “ got white and his knees started wobbling” as said. But the boys parents immediately took action as were told but the sheriff did mention they wont be facing any charges.

In today's news I read about eighteen people died and several others were wounded Tuesday in a shooting at a shoe factory in San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras. The incident began at 3:45 p.m. when two men carrying AK-47 assault rifles went into the factory and began shooting. By the time police arrived a few minutes later 13 people were dead in the building. Five others died at a hospital. The victims were in their teens and 20s. The approximately 2,000-square-foot factory is located in a suburb in southeast San Pedro Sula which is the industrial capital of Honduras. The factory is in a primarily residential area reputed to be under the control of the notorious Mara 18 a ruthless street gang with links throughout Central America and the west coast of the United States. The officers noted that drug traffickers have proliferated in the area in recent years, but the police said had no reason to believe that the shooting was drug-related.

Blake – Wednesday – Today I read an article about an asteroid buzzing the earth. A small asteroid passed within the moon's distance from the Earth on Wednesday morning. Space watchers say that another one will do the same later in the day. The objects don't pose a threat to Earth. They will not be visible to the naked eye. The objects are visible from Earth as tiny specks of light with the help of moderately sized amateur telescopes. The two asteroids will pass within point six and point two lunar distances from the Earth. About fifty million objects pass through near Earth space each day. These two asteroids are passing so close to Earth on the same day. Things like this happen every day.

Today I read of how the baseball season is going for San Diego. Finally the Padres get a win after their previous 10 strait loses. The three constants for the padres this season have been Mat Latos, Adrian Gonzales, and Heath Bell. Last night the padres had a 2-1 victory against the Dodgers. San Diego is now a game ahead of San Francisco in the National League West race. The Padres strategy is to keep Latos, Gonzales, and Bell in top shape to keep bringing them wins. Good thing they won because the alternative would have brought a lot of people down.

Thursday- Today I read about Investigators in the Phillipines say some victims in a botched hostage rescue may have been hit by police fire. Eight tourists from Hong Kong were killed after a fired policeman hijacked their bus on Aug. 23rd. The hostage taker was killed when police stormed the bus. Justice Secretary Leila de Lima now says bullet trajectories and the hostages' wounds indicate some may have been hit by "friendly fire.“ But she did not say whether those shots were fatal. Investigators will await a complete ballistics report before making conclusions. I took interest in reading this article because I myself am Filipino. And I think that police all around the world are corrupt. Wether they say so or not they are. Every cop has gone sideways in a time in their life.

Thursday- Today I read about, twelve U.S. soldiers face a charges in what military believe was a conspiracy to murder Afghan civilians and cover it up. According to the military documents, Staff Sgt. Calvin Gibbs and four other soldiers were involved in throwing grenades at civilians and then shooting them in separate incidents. Three Afghan men died. Five soldiers face murder charges, while seven others are charged with participating in a cover up. Other soldiers are charged with assaulting Afghan civilians by shooting at them. Several soldiers face charges of failing to properly account for and dispose of weapons. I really don’t know what these soldiers were thinking but I am guessing that they were having fun killing those people. They should just get there work done good not having fun killing and taking pictures of the Afghan people died and others covering them up that’s wrong.

Friday- Today I read about Johnny Depp and how he has made a spectacular leap to the top of the Hollywood rich pile by earning $50 million over the last 12 months. The Pirates of the Caribbean star has jumped from number ten on the 2009 rich list to be named the highest earning actor by Forbes.com. Depp pulled in a huge sum for his portrayal of the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's hit Alice In Wonderland, as well as a $15 million fee for his upcoming film The Tourist. Ben Stiller is at number two with a salary of $38 million stemming from his pay checks for Night at the Museum 2 and his next Meet the Fockers movie. The number three spot goes to Tom Hanks, who has garnered $30 million in the period from June 2009 to June 2010, while Adam Sandler is laughing all the way to the bank with $26.6 million. I love Johnny Depp and he deserves all the fame and fortune. I want him to keep making good movies and I hope he doesn’t lose his title as most payed actor.

A local resident found the unexploded device shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday on vista Grande Drive near Marlowe Drive – a block from a local elementary school. The resident saw someone in a blue sedan throw a package onto the street and went to investigate. It was a large mailing type envelope with a suspicious looking object in it. He then picked it up put it away and immediately called the cops. San Diego police firefighters and the Metro arson strike team responded along with agents from the fbi and the U.S Bureau of Alchohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives.

Friday- Today I read about the governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who signed the Chelsea law and those who dedicated their time to look for her. A 49 year old man Doug Lambell remembers the day searching for Chelsea , a teenager he didn’t know . Doug recalls seeing 1,000 people standing in the rain searching and praying for Chelsea till this day he still cries and remembers the tragic moment. The creation of Chelsea's law establishes longer prison sentences, tougher parole conditions and targeted treatment for sex offenders. Both parents and brother were left only to remember how wonderful and bright Chelsea was and they have not forgotten her but they are defiantly moving forward in a positive way with Chelsea in there hearts.

Toni Ma'ree ; Wednesday - Today I read about these infants that are dying over the whooping cough , and many of them are super small talking younger than 6 months. The California of Public Health had sent letters to doctors and hospitals , Aug3 trying to get anyone to treat ones younger than 6 months old who have trouble breathing with the whooping cough. When the letter was received seven infants died from the disease , and also including a 1 month old boy in San Diego who died at Rady Children’s Hospital in Kearny Mesa. The eight infants in California died of the whooping cough this August , with the bacterial infection “pertussis” that causes severe coughing spells and usually with cold symptoms. This disease seriously effects infants and often can be fatal. The treatment should start right away and not wait for test results. These infants are the ones that get most sick from it they don’t have any sign of it but most infants can get infected and die, so best to have them checked before its to late.

Toni Ma'ree ; Friday - Today I was reading about this bomb that rocks Russian Market . This previous attack occurred Thursday , where a car was loaded with explosives in a central market in Russia’s restive North Caucasus region. The blast was around a Christian area to in North Ossetia where major acts of violence have been rare in years . But the attack killed at least 16 people and wounded around more than 100 as authorities stated. Authorities said it was most likely a suicide attack, but as bombs were still set a bomber set off an explosive device packed with bolts, ball bearings and other while sitting in their parked car close to the main entrance. Then police disarmed a second explosive device found near the market entrance also , so Russia’s Nation warned that other bombs could be set to detonate in the vicinity as Russians reported and Russian’s president announced to catch the monsters and scoundrels who have committed this attack.

The attack happened in broad daylight, at about 1:30 p.m. , and was brazen even by the standards of Mexico's violent drug cartel wars. Today I read about some Somali pirates that got caught up. Previous to Thursday pirate ships have never been boarded. San Diego's Camp Pendleton Marines were the first U.S force that has ever boarded a vessel that has been commanded by Somali pirates U.S military officials say. The pirates hijacked a German cargo ship off the coast of Somalia, but Camp Pendleton's marines raided the pirates with their lightning-quick strategy. The AK-47 armed pirates gave up quick when they saw San Diego was armed with large numbers of solders carrying heavier weaponry. Lt. John Fage described the raid as an “air and sea” assault that included cobra attack helicopters for surveillance and coordination. Now pirates know to look for an alternate route out of the San Diego zone.

Blake – Friday – Today I read an article about a California gas explosion in California that made fire. Four people died and thirty eight homes were destroyed. The fire sent fireballs shooting into the air in a neighborhood near the San Francisco airport. Seven homes were severely damaged. The fire was seventy five percent contained. Local hospitals reported Thursday night that at least twenty eight people were being treated for injuries from the fire. Some of them had critical burn injuries. Four firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation. The city is seeking a federal declaration of a state of emergency. Firefighters had not yet been able to access the high pressure gas line. The explosion sent concrete flying, and the heat from the flames melted tail lights on cars blocks away from the blaze.
