Week 72
Monday-
Today I read about a Texas woman who allegedly fled to Nigeria after authorities say four children died in a fire at her day care facility is on her way back to the United States. Jessica Tata was charged after she left a group of children alone inside a home with the stove on. Four children died and three others were injured in the February blaze. The blaze likely originated on an electric stove, which was on and had a pot on it containing oil, according to Houston Fire Department arson investigator Thomas Wood. A definitive cause for the fire will be announced once the investigation is complete. I think that this lady is crazy and stupid because why would you do such thing man; it’s not good.

Monday- Today I read about a Yale University lab technician that pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and attempted sexual assault in the killing of graduate student Annie Le in 2009. Raymond Clark III will be sentenced to 44 years in prison as part of the plea agreement. Le, 24, was strangled to death. She had a broken jaw and collarbone. Clark's DNA was "all over" the crime scene, including in her underwear, the state charged. Le's body was discovered inside a wall of a Yale lab building four days later after an extensive search by the FBI and police. Clark, 26, admitted the facts as the prosecution presented them but pleaded guilty under a legal precedent that allows him to do so while still officially protesting his innocence.

Monday- today I read about Emergency Officials. As the deaths toll continues to rise in Japan. Emergency officials here are offering a double dose of reassurance in the countries readiness for earthquakes, tsunamis, and flooding. They said regularly updated emergency training, comprehensive evacuation process and detailed inundation maps charting more than 70 miles of coastline help make the region more prepared than ever to withstand the fallout of an earthquake powered tsunami. That doesn't mean there wont be challenges to evacuating the 25000 people who live in the areas at risk.

In today’s morning blog I read about a woman that got accused for a day care fire in Texas that killed four small children. The U.S marshals are the ones that said it on Monday. Investigators allege that Tata, a 22-year-old day care owner, left six children alone at her Houston center with the stove on while she went to a store in February. Four children died and three others were injured in the blaze. The section was in Texas where this fire happened. This is always similar to all the fires were the adults leave the children alone at the house. This is always a theory.

Today I read about a 32 year old man who has to go back to court on Monday at the El Cajon courthouse. He is accused of stabbing another man to death at a home in Spring. Hector Ivan Hernandez-Romero is his name known to be an old acquaintance of the man who was killed. He was know to be at 700 block of Sacramento Avenue about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday and argued with the victim before stabbing him with a knife, or so it is said. The victim died in a hospital about a half-hour after the stabbing. To me it seems more like a theory but now days all murders issues similar cause and in certain sections so I’m guessing they will need physical evidence and if they don’t have them he will be released.

Today I read about a U.S. soilder who is accused of killing Afghan citizens for sport is scheduled to begin Wednesday. Spc. Jeremy Morlock is charged with three counts of murder. He is accused of killing one Afghan civilian in January 2010 with a grenade and rifle; killing another in May 2010 in a similar manner; and shooting a third to death in February 2010. Morlock is one of two U.S. soldiers who are scheduled to be tried at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Pfc. Andrew Holmes is also facing charges in the case but a start date for his court martial has not been publicly announced. Both are part of a larger case that involves several other soldiers, all accused of similar killings. In all, officials charged 12 U.S. soldiers in what they called a conspiracy to kill Afghan civilians and cover it up, along with charges they mutilated corpses and kept grisly souvenirs.
Five of the soldiers face murder charges, while seven others are charged with participating in a cover-up. I think that these soilders tried to take advantage of the situation and the outcome came of negative for them and that's good that there being charged also.

Three civilians and a police officer were killed Wednesday after militants fired two rockets at security checkpoints in Pakistan's western city of Quetta. Police spokesman Abdullah Afridi said militants fired the rockets along Saryab Road, injuring an additional 15 people. Earlier this month, four civilians were killed and 10 were injured when a bomb exploded near a security patrol in Pakistan's Balochistan province, police told CNN. Balochistan has long been plagued by sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shias, and separatist Baloch militant groups who demand political autonomy. Quetta, Balochistan's provincial capital, is widely believed to be a safe haven for senior leaders of the Afghan Taliban, but rarely are militant attacks in Balochistan linked to them. Joseph Garcia, Yves Delpeche, Daniel Parker and Joseph Romanick had been charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction and criminal mischief, but prosecutors ruled their actions were a result of "youthful visceral reactions to the sudden, unexpected shooting of their friend.“ "This is a big weight off of our shoulders," Romanick, 22, said at press conference Thursday morning. "But nothing will take away the loss that we feel from D.J. We think about him all the time.“ Last month, a grand jury cleared the officer who shot Henry of any wrongdoing. Two weeks ago, prosecutors moved to dismiss charges against the teammates.

tuesday- Today i read about this man named Eric Persaud who basicly "sniched" himself out. Not knowing that his call was one of the calls that got reccorded in jail, he was pressuring his formal girlfriend who he had beat, and told her to deny what happened. He also told her to tell them that she loved him very much and they where planning to get married soon. She also was told to pass the phone to her son who Eric then told the boy to say he didint remeber anything. I think this is a trip because alot of people dont pay attention to the signs in the jails saying that you call is being recorded, he then got two years for smacking his girlfriend in the face with an iron.

wednsday-A mom of a 9 month old and 2 year old left her babies to drown! This lady left her two boys in the bath tub while she went across the street to get " milk". As he was leaving she left the water half way, is what she said she locked the door on her way out. When the cops cought up to her she didint have any milk she actually had chicken wings and a pack of ciggerettes. She told police her oldest son was left outside the bathroom tub. Police found the baby face down with his recidue remaning on a rag and in the water the water was over flown. The same day she was killed someone was texting from her phone denying to someone else that they never met witch later on was found as evidence that he was txting her friends to make them belive she never saw him, but she was already dead. They also found the gun in his car even though it was his legall gun, I dont think it takes a smart man to fidure this one out. This really suckfor this young girls family and that mans wife since she just figured out what her husban is capable of doing.

He said, "I tought the cops would shoot me and kill me". I think that was his sorry excuse for what he had done and he was just trying to find a way out and was trying to brainstorm a way to get out by holding hostages. Thankfully none of them where hurt and were safe. He is now in custudy for murder and attemp of murrder.

Today I read about a suicide bomber who killed 13 people and wounded at least 30 others on the East Side of Afghanistan. The attack was said to be predict by the prime minister. None the less, the suicide bomber attacks are killing the people where there are building and contractors. I think that these people are insane and will do anything to prove there supreme power. Also, how can someone just sacrifice their own life so that others can live peacefully and that’s not the worst part; you take your own life away.

Monday- Today I read about a man named Eric Persaud. He admitted it that he got so mad at his girlfriend that he seared her face with a hot iron. Prosecutors say she stuffed a towel in her mouth to keep from screaming. He told her that if she yelled he would burn the kids too. On the recordings obtained by CNN, Persaud tells his girlfriend, "I need you to prepare the kids to start lying so I could talk to them." To use the tapes, Kessler is using a legal theory called forfeiture by wrongdoing. The Queens County district attorney's Domestic Violence Bureau was forced to dismiss about 70% of its cases due, in part, to intimidation. Kessler says the victims' fear is understandable.

Today i read about Tekata Hospital
in Japan. Nurse Susiki tells us how she can hear the voices of all the people she left behind in the hospital. She says how she remebers the day of the tsunami how she hear a young woman tell her aunt, "auntie i can't save you". When Nurse Susiki turned aroung the wave was already on her floor. The last thing she remebers is saying sorry and running up to ther roof. 51 people were hospitlized that day, 12 drowned, 3 died on the roof, 10 tekata staff died too, including the director of the hospital who threw a emergency phone toweds the roof seconds before the wave killed him. I think it's sad how she says she trully regrets leaving them behind and all she dose now is help the patients who survived to get better.

It gets even more disturbing. Kessler says Persaud's young son saw the whole thing. "Persaud thought the boy was asleep. He wasn't," Kessler adds. Kessler says his Domestic Violence Bureau won't stop mining jailhouse calls to bolster his cases. "I see the photos of these women with black eyes, and scars on their faces, in hospital beds as they're basically shot, burned, sometimes run over and that's what drives us."

Kassin admitted in federal court that he accepted bank checks in exchange for checks of a lesser value from a charity he operated and controlled. On Monday, he pleaded guilty Monday to illegal cash transmission -- a lesser charge than the original complaint of money laundering. Prosecutors said Kassin operated an unlicensed money transmitting business in his home from mid-2007 through 2008. Among the 15 arrested for money laundering, five were rabbis who were alleged to have laundered collectively more than $3 million, officials said at the time. Their alleged dealings stretched to Israel and Switzerland, authorities said. One high-profile arrest involved Peter Cammarano, the youngest mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey. He was arrested after just three weeks in office

Today I read about opposition members in Libya said their fighters are working to regain momentum in the faces of punishing assaults by forces loyal to leader Moammar Gadhafi. After days of dramatic advances by rebels, government forces have cranked up their firepower, pushing from Bin Jawad to Ras Lanuf, a key eastern oil town that the opposition seized Sunday, and launching escalated strikes in the western town of Misrata. Despite reports that Ras Lanuf had been retaken by government forces, an official from the opposition's Transitional National Council wouldn't confirm that rebels have lost the city. The rebels have been demanding an end to Gadhafi's almost 42-year rule in Libya. While they have gained ground in some areas, a hail of artillery and rocket attacks have beaten them back in others while allies mull the possibility of arming the rag-tag rebel forces. This comes as NATO is getting in gear to fully take command of the military operation in Libya under the U.N. Security Council resolution authorizing force, including a no-fly zone, to protect civilians. I think that their president should just leave because damn 42 years of tyranny is not a good thing, for the people.

They were fast closing in on Laurent Gbagbo, who refused to cede power after a disputed November election. It will be "hours, maybe days" before Gbagbo falls, Achi predicted. "The army does not want to fight for Laurent Gbagbo," he said. The army chief, Gen. Philippe Mangou, sought refuge at the residence of the South African ambassador, the South African government sai Thursday. Achi said it was a sign that the armed forces stand behind Ouattara. Republican Forces wrested control of much of the capital, Yamoussoukro, and other key cocoa-producing and port cities earlier in the week. Their march to Abidjan leaves Gbagbo surrounded. Ouattara issued a statement saying that despite numerous attempts to end the violence, Gbagbo had refused. He said Ivory Coast is now at a turning point in its history and called for unity.

Today I read about the woman who accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape five years ago was arrested Sunday, suspected of stabbing her boyfriend. Officers responding to a call early Sunday about a stabbing at an apartment in Durham, North Carolina, found a 46-year-old man who had been stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officers later arrested the man's girlfriend, Crystal Mangum, 32, at a nearby apartment. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. Mangum was placed in the Durham County Jail without bond. Officers said the stabbing occurred during an argument at the couple's shared apartment. In March 2006, Mangum claimed to have been sexually assaulted by three players on the Duke lacrosse team while performing as a stripper for a team party. North Carolina's attorney general later found no credible evidence that the attacks ever occurred and the charges were dropped. I think that people need to get their stories straight and not try to blame other people for their faults and what they did wrong. Today I read about a dog rescued off the Japanese coast floating on top of a house is on her way back to her owner Monday. The dog wagged its tail and jumped up to a woman described by local media as a relative of the owner as she collected her to deliver back to her family for what promises to be a warm reunion. It turns out the lucky dog's name is "Ban," and she was originally living in Kessenuma before being separated from her master after the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and subsequent fire that swept through the coastal village. It's not clear how the 2-year-old mixed breed Ban and her master were separated, but Kessenuma is located in Miyagi prefecture, which was virtually wiped out by the disaster three weeks ago. An employee at the Miyagi Animal Care Center told CNN by phone that the owner had been staying in a temporary relocation center in Sendai since being evacuated from Kessenuma. The 50-year-old man reportedly recognized Ban after footage of the brown and black dog was shown being hugged by Japanese rescue workers while being unloaded from a boat in Shiogama Port this past Friday. Japanese Coast Guard teams had spotted Ban during a helicopter patrol over debris fields nearly two kilometers off shore. When a patrol boat got the hungry and shivering dog, they found no identification on her other than a brown collar. The prefectural animal center says it is still keeping more than a dozen cats and dogs that have been found in recent weeks in hope of further happy endings like the one Ban appears to have gotten. I think that this is one lucky dog because many of them died and he was lucky to survive after the earthquake tsunami and hunger.
