Monday- Today I read about a man that is suspected of killing a 1-year-old child in Texas last year. He is now on the most wanted fugitives list. The man’s name is Simon Lopez, he is 26 years old. He is considered armed and extremely violent. He apparently strangled and beat his girlfriend’s son while babysitting her two children. The little boy was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead because of blunt-force trauma to his chest. His ribs were broken, and he had severe bruising on his body. The little boys name was Jeremy Silva. He has previous arrests for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft, assault causing bodily injury and possession of marijuana. Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

In Monday’s morning blog I read about a kid named Derontae Mason that slept in homeless shelters and school playgrounds. Now Mason is heading to college with his sights set on becoming a pediatrician, thanks to the Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School in Takoma Park, Maryland, a Catholic college prep school for low-income teens. It really does not matter if your homeless to graduate from a school.

Monday-today I read about how the jurors in the Casey Anthony capital murder trial heard more forensic testimony on Monday regarding the hair that was found in the trunk of her car and the body found of her two year old daughter. The skeletal remains were found in December 11, 2008. Caylee was last seen June 16, 2008, but her disappearance was not reported until July 15, 2008, after Anthony's mother demanded answers from her about the little girl's whereabouts. Saturday's testimony also included a crime scene investigator who collected a piece of Henkel brand duct tape from an area near where Caylee's skull was found. Last week, jurors saw graphic photos of Caylee's bones and heard testimony that they had been gnawed by animals as her body decomposed during as much as six months in the field.

Tuesday- Today I read about police in an Indiana city were hoping the "America's Most Wanted" television program that aired Saturday night would bring tips that could help solve the disappearance of a college student. Bloomington Police Capt. Joe Qualters declined Saturday to discuss specifics, but told reporters evidence was still being gathered in Indiana University student Lauren Spierer's June 3 disappearance. Police are reviewing videotapes from local . Spierer, 20, was last seen leaving an apartment building a few blocks from her home about 4:30 a.m. Police have confirmed through security camera video that she returned from Kilroy's Sports Bar in Bloomington to her building at Smallwood Plaza briefly about 2:40 a.m. with someone, but they left about 10 minutes later. Police revealed Thursday that they now have additional video footage of Spierer and the other person "making their way" from Smallwood to the building where she was last seen.

Tuesday- Today I read about 21 bodies found outside of a Mexican town . Mexican authorities on Thursday are following leads on a grisly find from the night before 21 bodies, some with signs of torture strewn in five separate locations on the outskirts of Morelia, Mexico. Some of the bodies had signs of torture, and other bodies not any, Michoacan state attorney general's office spokesman Jonathan Arredondo told CNN. At least three bodies had bullet wounds and signs of strangulation, he said. The bodies were found just outside several exits to the central Mexican city. Authorities found three piles of five victims each, and two piles with three victims each, Arredondo said. There were notes found at each location, but authorities did not immediately reveal what they said or if any group claimed responsibility.

Tuesday-today I read about president Obama is going to Puerto Rico today to spend about five hours there on a trip aimed as much at Puerto Ricans on the mainland as those on the island. He is heading over there because roughly 4 million residents on the U.S Caribbean territory are American citizens and can not vote for president while in the U.S there is about 5 million Puerto Ricans living in the 50 states that have full voting right and Obama needs strong support in 2012 from what traditionally has been a largely Democratic constituency. Obama will make a brief speech when he arrives at Muniz Air National Guard Base.

In Tuesday’s morning blog I read about A trio of Democratic U.S. senators called for tougher firearms laws and regulations after releasing a report that showed a large number of weapons used by Mexico drug gangs originate north of the border. I bet the Mexico gangs that got caught for these things didn’t predict that this was going to happen. The Mexico cartel integrated with the gangs in Mexico for money and to be stronger. Now the Mexico police impose these bad people and caught their weapons.

Wednesday today I read about After prosecutors rested their case in Casey Anthony's capital murder trial Wednesday, her defense asked for a judgment of acquittal. And prosecutors have not disproved that Caylee's death could have been accidental and was covered up. Prosecutors allege that Anthony, 25, killed her daughter by knocking her out with chloroform and putting duct tape over her nose and mouth. Perry released the jurors until 9 a.m. Thursday, saying both sides have some "legal matters" that need to be dealt with outside their presence. Cindy Anthony testified Tuesday that duct tape was also in the home, stored in the garage, but she could not recall making a previous statement that duct tape was used at a command center after Caylee went missing.

Wednesday-today I read about security screeners at Newark Liberty International Airport singled out Mexican and Dominican passengers for nearly two years, according to a federal report obtained by The Star-Ledger newspaper. While the actions referenced in the report were based on intelligence reports regarding false documentation, criminal or illegal activity and the possible impact on transportation security, TSA's policies were overstepped," spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said. "The report said Mexican and Dominican passengers were singled out for scrutiny of their travel documents as an easy way to drive up the number of referrals by Newark's (behavior detection officer) unit so that it would appear productive," the newspaper said.

Friday- Today I read about police in Bloomington, Indiana, released a photograph Wednesday of college student Lauren Spierer on the night of her disappearance as well as images of a white pickup seen in the area. The still image of the white Chevrolet truck was taken from a video captured by a private security camera. Qualters said at a Wednesday news conference that the truck did not necessarily belong to a suspect but police were hopeful it might belong to someone who could help shed light on the case. Qualters said the truck was significant because it twice was in "very close proximity" to the area where Spierer was last seen. He also showed an image of Spierer wearing a white shirt and black leggings that was taken at her apartment complex before she left home. Spierer, a Indiana University student, disappeared some time after 3 a.m. June 3 after going out with friends to Kilroy's Sports Bar in Bloomington, police said. Friday-today I read about parents lavish time and money to immerse their little ones in the magic of childhood, another name has stolen the show Casey. The drama sucked in Trevor Ball this week as he waited for his wife's BMW to be serviced. He fired off a Casey update to her by text the prosecution rests. The true-crime spectacle often threatens to obscure a sad truth a little girl named Caylee never got to grow up. And a teenager with a wild streak had a baby too soon. He drove one day by Jay Blanchard Park in Orlando and saw the dive teams searching for Caylee. He posted an entry on his blog and started to gain a following, including Stan Strickland, the original judge in the case.
