week 118 morning blog monday to Wed

you should have 5 comments for each week.
Label the days
for example:

Monday- In todays reading, 8 Troops Killed in Battle in Afgan,
( 8 sentences ) I learned that, the Battle lasted 12 hours as hundreds of militants fired on outpost, official says. Hundreds of militants attacked American and Afghan troops in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday, opening fire on an outpost from multiple locations with rockets, mortars and heavy-caliber machine guns, according to an initial U.S. military report on the battle.

At least eight American troops and two members of the Afghan National Security Force died the largest number of Americans killed by hostile action in a single day in more than a year, according to CNN records.

Eight U.S. troops, two members of Afghan National Security Force killed in fighting. Coalition forces say they called in airstrikes, repelled attack from militants. Incident marks deadliest day for U.S. troops in Afghanistan since 2008

( 3 reflections...I agree or not agree...because)
I am saddened by the deaths of the troops, they have many family members that morn their innocent deaths. I hope the president can figure something out so no more of our troops die fir nothing. I can't stand the terrorist who attack just to make a statement, these are people's lives that are used.

Monday- Today I read about four guys who tried to invade a home failed. Well this all happened when a man was in his room when he heard a tap on his window. The man outside had told him he had just crashed his car and was in need of assistance. When the man went outside the man grabbed him and pointed a gun to his head. While the three other men were trying to get into the home but the victims brother was inside and had locked the door. The three men demanded to the victims brother to open up but he just wouldn’t and he dialed 911. The victim on the outside tried to fight of the mans gun out of his hand and when he did he found out the gun was plastic. He then fought and wrestled with the man until they gave up and hopped into a truck and sped off.
I liked this article because the suspects lost the fight. I also thought it was funny how someone tried to rob a house with a fake gun. This was an excellent story to let robbers know they need to be prepared to be successful in a robbery.
I learned that the robbers don’t always end up winning the fights.

Today I read about Diego Hills Charter. Many students at Diego Hills Charter are parents, others have been in gangs, and some are working long hours to help support their families. Others have also dropped out of high school. Everyone is there for a different reason. The school is located in a shopping center store in front of the College Area community. Diego Hills tries focuses on each student as an individual. Diego Hills goal was to have up to 200 students. They have achieved their goals. The school tries to have a business like feel, to show student that they are serious about their education.
I think that Diego Hills Charter school is a good school. I think it gives hope to those who have dropped out at a young age, or some who are already parents. It is also easier because you only attend once a week, and you could pick the time.
I learned that there is now a lot of charter schools. They just want to help students with their education.

Today I read about how tight end for the Chargers Gates is at the best of his career and he is playing at his best and is on point to set one of a records for his seasons that he has been playing in the NFL. Gates has been missing one day of practice each week for rehab or for resting his soar foot it has been doing him good because he looks better and faster. After last season playing as a full time starter gates had his worst season ever 60 catches for 704 yards and 8 touchdowns. Last season he had an toe, hip and ankle injury. I think its good now that he is healthy because now the Chargers can go back to there threatening game with the passing and running now will open more holes for LT.

In today’s paper I read about 883 districts schools that are receiving lots of people. First graders and second graders are receiving lots of students in their class they now have up to 24 per class. That really concerns them because they are afraid that all the students aren’t going to get the attention they need. Which that means that they will probably be slower in class. Its proven that a class with more kid in it might not be able to learn as faster. They are trying to help this kids out. They also know that next year they are probably going to have more kids in their class up to 30 kids per class. A teacher said that she is very afraid she might not be able to complete her job by helping them kids out and that she even needs a volunteer because she cant grade and do all the paper work by her self since they are more students that before she had 19 students so it was so much easier for her to teach her students. She hopes she can accomplish that goal she has.

Today I read that UCLA students The students shouted and protested outside a UC Board of Regents committee meeting. The committee approved a 32 percent in student fee. The proposal was sent to the full board for a vote. A board committee approved two does of increases despite angry pleas from hundreds of students who repeatedly shut down the meeting with protest and songs. There were 13 arrests. The 1925 undergraduate students at UC campuses will pay about half of the increase in January and the rest starting in the next academic year. In 2010-11 will rise to $11,1925, not counting room and board

An off-duty federal agent shot and wounded an armed man who confronted him in his Otay Mesa home early Sunday morning. The agent, who works for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, was asleep at his Palm Avenue home when he was awakened just before 2:30 a.m. by the intruder who demanded he hand over the keys to his truck, San Diego police Lt. Kevin Rooney said. The man had a hammer in one hand and some type of sharp implement in the other, Rooney said. The agent told the intruder that his keys were in the kitchen. When the would-be thief left the room the agent armed himself and confronted him, Rooney said.
I think that this federal agent did the right thing because he was protecting himself and if he has a family his family too.

This morning I read about who was caught recording up ladies skirts at Valley View casino. He used his call phone to record women while in a line for a buffet. The man lives in Los Angeles county and they think he could be responsible for a string of similar crimes in Los Angeles are malls. Police are investigating other photos of women found on his cell phone. I think this man is a creep and he shouldn’t be allowed to own a phone or a camera. I can CONCLUDE that he is a creep and he needs to ACQUIRE some help.

Today I read about how the 49ers and Michael Crabtree has became to an agreement and they settle and now they are ready to play. But he has to have two out of his first four season has to be pro bowl for him to get his 32 mill max 40 mill Crabtree who is a star receiver and just said he was thinking straight and that he finally got his mind right and is ready to play the game of football. The 49ers is a team that need a star at receiver because they are missing frank gore now and so they need another star player at the offense end and that what they will get with Crabtree. I think this is going to be a good addition to the 49ers offense because like I said he is a playmaker.

Tuesday- Today i read an article about Nissan the car company. The company is planning on releasing their new electric cars and put them out for sale. They said that the car wont be that much and that the batteries are not included. The batteries are said to be sold separate and they will be put for leasing only. The company is also trying to put and affordable lease for buyers so that it costs as much as a person would spend a year for gas. They also said they are planning on starting to put these vehicles on the market in December of next year. They also mentioned that the batteries are a big deal in these sales of vehicles because the amount of money the buyers are going to spend on electricity to keep charging these vehicles. This is an unclosed problem that Nissan is still working on and they are going to try very hard to make it work for the communities.
I liked this article because it helps me realize that we are in the future and everything starts to change more. The thing I don’t like about is that it makes me think about how I’m getting older and older and im not a kid anymore. I hope these vehicles help out a lot and don’t mess with any thing else in the world to make it more like if its going to end sooner.
I learned that the future is coming really fast and it is going to start looking like in movies with electric everything.

This morning I read an article about a woman who punched another woman in a target parking lot. Police say the victim was outside the store at Grossman Center when she saw a woman yelling at a small child. She said she “stopped to watch” and was about the walk away when she was ‘attacked’. Personally I don’t believe the “victims’’ story. Also she really should’ve just minded her business and shouldn’t have been nosey. I think the funny part of this story is that they give a description of the woman who punched her, I honestly don’t think they will ‘catch her’. This lady need to ACQUIRE some sense and stay out of people’s business. I CONCLUDE that this lady got what she deserved. I don’t think this story should even be in the paper.

This morning I read about a P.E teacher who was having a sexual relationship with one of his students. He was a P.E teacher at Oceanside High School. Corey Hougue was arrested yesterday on the allegations of having a 2 year sexual relationship with a student. The relationship began when the girl was 15 years old. Corey Hogue is expected to be booked into Vista jail on suspicion of two counts of rape and two counts of rape and lewd and lascivious acts. The female reported the relationship late October. She also said the relationship took place in his house, where he lives with his wife and children. His daughter also goes to the high school that he taught at.
There is so many sex offenders now. I think it is nasty that he has a daughter about the same age of the girl he had sex with. I would not doubt it if Corey Hogue had sex with is own daughter. I also think that the girl he was having sex with him liked it because she would have reported this a long time ago instead of two years after.
I learned that some man p.e teachers are perverts towards their female students.

In today’s paper I read about Brewer, 15, remains in guarded condition at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital Burn Center. He suffered third-degree burns over 65 percent of his body in the Deerfield Beach, Florida, incident October 12, authorities have said.
Police have been able to interview Brewer for the first time since the incident, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said. Hospital officials have said Brewer can communicate only in one- or two-word answers. Jarvis was arrested at the juvenile hall foe 30 days because the parents haven't pressed no charges. But their still seeing if they can add a 90 day extension on what ever they put.

In today’s news people are starting to get kidnapped and killed in the Philippines. The wife of a candidate for Governor and others were Kidnapped Monday morning in the southern Philippines. The lady was on her way to file her Husbands nomination papers when about 100 armed men were able to ACQUIRE her and many others in Maguindanao province. The Army Lt. Col. Romeo Brawner troops recovered 21 dead bodies, 13 women and eight men from where the Kidnappings were happening. The Elections that will be held on May the 10th is part of the Philippine CULTURE. It was Gruesome massacre in the country and not even Women and Children were spared. It was CONCLUDED that there is a possibility that the country will go into Civil war. The person behind these attacks is still not discovered.
I think whoever did it needs to go to jail for life. Also the person might have a lot of followers so a Civil war might occur. The reason might be for the Elections going on.

In today’s news a PE teacher was arrested for having Sexual intercourse with a student. In Oceanside High School Corey Hogue was having Sexual intercourse with a student for two years starting when she was 15. The student said the teacher ACQUIRED her virginity when he raped her in his house. Hogue lives in Oceanside with his wife and children including a Freshmen daughter that goes to the same school. Many people have adapted to the sexual CULTURE because many sex crimes are happening in America. Hogue was hired in 2006 to teach physical education and coached the boys Basketball team. It has been CONCLUDED that Rogue will be registered as a sex offender. Hogue has been charged with two counts of rape and two counts of lewd and lascivious acts.
If he raped her and kept her prisoner he should go to jail. But he might have some people who disagree with this. The police will investigate more.

This morning I read about a bank robber who was crying while robbing the bank. The bank robber gave the teller a letter about why he was robbing the bank. He also told the teller that he needed the money because he had cancer and didn’t have any money to pay for his kemo. He also told her that he used to work there. He also did not try to cover his face to hide his identity. A lot of people think that even though he had cancer he still should not have robbed a bank. A lot of people have no sympathy for him
I feel really bad for the guy. I do not know if he was lying about being sick or not. I just think it is sad because if he does have cancer it is sad that some people can’t afford to survive cancer and live.
I learned that some people are so dumb they do not hide their face while robbing a bank.

Wednesday- Today I read about a boy who was burnt by his own brother. This thirteen year old boy had gotten into an argument with his brother over $40, a video game, and a bike. The kids brother and two other guys literally poured alcohol on the kid and the brother turned him on with a lighter. The boys were all arrested and are waiting on their trial. The boy that was the victim received third degree burns on about 65% of his body. While the boy was on fire his brother and the other kids laughed while he ran in circles until he jumped into his complex pool. The burnt boy said he prays for his brother to be taken care of and be easy and the older brother also says he feels so bad he wishes it never happened. This was all very serious and their parents were so mad they told officials to keep their fifteen year old son in for a long time so he can learn his lesson.
I liked this article because someone I don’t know was burnt alive. I think the brother should be released on a few years of probation since it was his family member. I also think the court should keep the other two boys in for a longer period of time.
I learned that when you burn someone alive it is very serious.

Today I read that an 8-year-old Cherrie Mahan stepped off her yellow school bus on a Friday around 4 p.m. The bus stop was about 100 yards from her home in rural Winfield Township in western Pennsylvania. But Cherrie did not make it to the hilltop trailer she lived in with her parents. She was never seen again. Investigators say her disappearance after the four mile ride home from elementary school on February 22, 1985, remains a mystery. "It's like a black hole opened up and she fell in,'' said Cherrie's mother, Janice McKinney. She recalled that she and Cherrie's stepfather, Leroy, could hear the bus pulling up that day. Soon after Cherrie did not arrive, he went to the stop to look for her. ''He came flying back up because she wasn't there,'' McKinney said. Cherrie, an only child, would soon be celebrating her 33rd birthday, but in the minds of many, she will always remain a missing girl. "People still talk about it,'' said Trooper Frank Jendesky, the lead detective working on the case for the Pennsylvania State Police for the past 15 years. The driver and children riding the bus remember Cherrie getting off the bus with a few other students who lived nearby. "She was one heck of a special kid,'' McKinney said. "And there's somebody out there that knows. And I hope that someday they have a conscience and they'll let us know. Because that's all I pray for, is to have an answer.''

This morning I read an article about a man who set himself on fire by lighting a cigarette while hooked up to an oxygen machine in an assisted living facility. The man suffered serious burns to his upper body and was reported in stable but critical condition at the UCSD burn unit. The fire was reported around 6:40 pm at the Golden Paradise assisted living facility on Highland and 25th in National City. No one else was injured or displaced. I think this story is sad but there is a reason why there is “no smoking” signs on oxygen machines. That old man needs to ACQUIRE some new glasses if he didn’t see those signs. I CONCLUDE that this fire could have been avoided if he would have read the signs.
