In today's news I read about hoe the lights went out in Cleveland's biggest airport on Sundays afternoon when an explosion cut power for seven hours. About 800 travelers were stranded Sunday morning when Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport lost power at 6:50 a.m. ET. Terminals went dark and air traffic ground to a halt, but the control tower, runways and taxiways remained lit by backup generators. The lack of power at terminals made it impossible to check in or screen passengers. Travelers remained calm and waited for some time. People thought that the lights were going to pop up any minute but they though wrong because they weren't going to come on for a while. The power went on at 2:30 p.m. and crews were checking that no cold-sensitive equipment was damaged and that all systems were running smoothly. More than 300 flights a day take off from or land at the airport. This was a day that people could off wrecked their self and damage other people in traffic areas. Or they could off crashed under the bridge were theirs no light and a lot of traffic.

Today I read about a couple who did a experiment on If sex is good for you. Yoga instructor Sadie Nardini and her husband decided that they were going to start their New Years resolution was to have sex every day in December. They hoped that this plan would stop their bad habits, like smoking, eating habits ect. Nardini said they both slept better and woke up with more energy. She also did not get the flu all month, which she usually does in Winter. People who have more sex tend to live longer and have healthier hearts and lower rates of certain cancers.
I think that this is a good story because It lets people know that sex can make you healthier. I also think that just because it is healthy, people shouldn’t be having sex with any one and everyone. I think that is disgusting, and can make you very unhealthy by giving you STD’S or maybe even aids.
I learned that sex can make you live longer, have healthier hearts, and have lower rates of certain cancers,

In today’s news a murder trial sparked a national debate over abortion. Scott Roeder goes to trial for murdering Dr. George Tiller, an abortionist who performed last minute abortions. Roeder has CLARIFIED that his intentions was not to murder, but to save the life of many unborn babies. Tiller was performing Sunday church services when Roeder shot him in the head. Dr. George Tiller has been performing late abortions since 1973 in the Wichita Clinic in the AREA of Kansas. The murder sparked a national debate, because the Court system has been trying to keep out any cases of abortion trials out of the court system. The Country is being DIFFERENTIATED between the people who approve of Abortion and those who appose it. If Roeder is found Guilty by the Court system, he will face life in Prison for first degree murder.
I do think that Abortion is an Evil that might divide the country and that it kills thousands of unborn babies. But I don’t think it can be abolished because there are some benefits including: no hard labor, not expensive, and can help the Economy in 20 years. Abortion is the new slavery of the 21st century since some people would murder just to get there opinion.
In today’s news, police CLARIFIED 4 deaths from a shooting in the St. Louis AREA. Timothy Hendron was expected at their workplace, he arrived wearing typical office attire but also had a fanny pack filled with magazines for the guns he used to shoot off more than 100 rounds killing 3 and DIFFERENTIATED the 5 other people who were wounded. Hendron went to work armed with an assault rifle, two handguns and a shotgun and opened fire at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday at ABB Inc.
Monday- Today I read about three boys who fell in a pond made a really depressing outcome. The story states that there were three boys playing on the ice top of a local pond when the ice finally gave up on holding them up. The three boys fell in and only one was able to make it out alive while the other two died. The police rushed to the scene and treated the boy who managed to make it out for hypothermia. They searched the pond until they found the other two bodies and it was too late. The bodies seemed to have been in the water for about an hour. Even after treating the other two boys with CPR and other medical treatments they still were not able to make it. The community received an e-mail from officials saying to keep children off the lake and to be very cautious.
This was a sad story because the kids were just playing around but found themselves in a deadly position. The article said the other boy was still alive and that is a really good thing because if he wouldn’t of made it the three bodies would of laid there with no ones consent. The community should put signs up saying to not walk on frozen ice or something to at least remind others how dangerous that it can be.
I learned that lakes can be very dangerous even if they look as if nothing can go wrong.
monday-Today I read on cnn about the killing of a very infamous drug lord, Arturo Beltran-Leyva. He was slain when he was ordered to turn himself in and he didn’t want to. There is also an investigation pending because after pictures were taken of his slain corpse his pants were pulled down and on his chest he had 100 dollar bills soaked with blood. This caused three medical examiners to be suspended because it is believed that they meddled with Beltran-Leyva’s body after he was shot to death. In my opinion I believe that if they meddled with his body after his dead that is wrong because it doesn’t matter what type of person he might have been you always have to show respect for the dead.

Today I read about how it was incredible to see the amount of rescue teams and Sheriffs search parties that came out to search for Mitrice Richardson on Saturday. This was one of the most extensive search parties in the history of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.. Searchers came from all over the state of California, attempting to cover every inch of an 18 mile span. The search and rescue teams included rescue dogs, mounted posses. searchers on foot and divers. "It took weeks of preparation to map out their search areas and plan how to orchestrate this massive search" I spent the day at the command post with Mitrice's family. It was unbelievable to see this massive search take place. Most being Sheriff volunteers. Their diligent efforts so appreciated. After a long day of searching no viable leads were found. I think that the person that killed her killed her and took her very far. And if they didn’t kill her then she's alive in a whole different country.

In Hong Kong China there has been acid attacks. People, nobody knows who , have been throwing acid on random people. The targets for the acid attacks are streets with full crowded people. Police have no suspects and no motive for the attacks. A man who owns a store wanted to see how easy it is for people to get on top of buildings. He tried it himself and he was surprised on how easy it is. He was able to jump from building to building easily. They're hoping a $40,000 reward will motivate someone to hand over some information that can help them make an arrest.
I think that people are ruining their own society. Everything is fine, but then stupid people come up with dumb ideas that harm people. I think someone should go on top of the buildings like cops.
I learned some people are so dumb, and do not use their common sense.

Visitors to the Zoo’s Elephant odyssey have both living, and breathing links to History. The Elephants in the Harry and Grace Steele Elephant odyssey exhibit represent there mammoth ancestors. The Jaguars have been DEFERENTIATED between the ancient Saber tooth cats. And the Eagle has been CLARIFIED to look like the extinct Daggett Eagle. But the Animals today may be a bit intimidating to guest. But thanks to one of the zoo keepers visitors can actually interact with the animal in the AREA of there own habitat. It takes special animals to be ambassador of the zoo. But these animals are among the best.
It is interesting to know that some animals have special traits to relatives back million of years ago. Its also interesting that visitors to the zoo could actually interact with the animals. But maybe some animals that still haven't been identified to have ancestors could one day be found.
Tuesday- Today I read an article on cheetah’s special calls. The cheetah is known to have a chirp as a call. It has also said that cheetah’s cannot roar like a lion but can do any cat like call but meowing. They also have a special call that scientists have identified as a mate call. This call was only heard by scientists when the cheetah was a male and when it was ready to mate. The call is said to trigger something in the female’s hormones and that’s how cheetah’s mate. The females don’t ovulate as much trough out the year so the calls only happen rarely. They also chirp a certain way that helps call the mothers cubs when they need to go back with her. Cheetah’s have been also known to purr when they are feeling a little cold in their body.
This was a cool article because cheetahs are one of my favorite animals. I think that it is cool how the male does a call to attract a female. The article said that cheetah’s are hard to get pregnant and it works with just one call.
I learned that cheetah’s have a call that turns the females on and make her ovulate.

In today's news I read about a dog named Max a two year old German Shepherd, looked like he was bursting with gratitude as he was being released from the vet. Early Monday morning, the humans put aside their own comfort and sense of safety to rescue Max from the frigid, neighborhood lake, where he had fallen through the ice trapped in the water, unable to climb back onto the ice. The humans that safe the dogs are Early Monday morning, the humans put aside their own comfort and sense of safety to rescue Max from the frigid, neighborhood lake, where he had fallen through the ice trapped in the water, unable to climb back onto the ice. They spotted Max about 30 yards from shore, in the lake struggling and paddling for his life, surrounded by the ice. The dog is lucky because his area around him was so cold and icy he could off frozen to death. He was survived by a brave family that lived nearby.

Today I read about Legislators in New Hampshire plan to weigh that question Tuesday as they consider repealing a 200-year-old state law that defines adultery as a criminal offense Over the two centuries that the law has been on New Hampshire's books, penalties have ranged from a year in jail or up to 39 lashes. In 1992, the penalty was reduced to a fine of up to $1,200 -- with no jail time. The law defines adultery as sexual intercourse between a married person and someone who is not his or her spouse or between a single person and a married person. Kevin Smith, executive director of Cornerstone Action, a conservative think tank in New Hampshire, said the state should not take a laissez-faire attitude toward infidelity. After working for years with juvenile justice services, he said that he saw firsthand the effects of adultery on children.

In today’s news the court system is debating whether the court system should release Sexual assaulting predators after there sentence years. Police remember of a photograph that 37 years ago 13 year old Martin Andrews has been kidnapped by a sexual predator, hidden inside a box and chained for eight days. Andrew has CLARIFIED that he has been abducted and sexually assaulted by Richard Ausley who has also been convicted of sexually assaulting to other young boys, and said that he was going to be left to die. As a Survivor of a sex crime Andrews is one face of the issue the supreme court will talk about today, whether to keep sex offenders in the governments watch even after serving there years of sentencing. Andrews testified that on 1973 he was walking to the store on a snowy afternoon when a van pulled up and said he will be paid if he helps move furniture, so Andrews went with the man, but got out on a rural hill and the Man said: ” I got some bad new, you just been kidnapped”. So there was a box in the hill, where the AREA was very small, so Andrews was chained there for days, and the man both raped and beat him up, until he was discovered by hunters eight days later. Many states approved of this law, and the supreme court ruled that it was necessary because there main goal is to DEFFERENTIATE the Sexual predators and the good society. Many prisoners testified that it is horrible to be locked up for many more years after there sentencing, an don’t want the country to pass the law.
I think it should depend of what the person did that determines the number of years. If its not that important they should just serve the sentencing they received. If it’s a huge crime, they should receive more years.

In today's news I read about Three members of the family of a Mexican marine who died in a shootout last week were killed Tuesday in the southern state of Tabasco. Marine 3rd Petty Officer Melquisedec Angulo Cordova was fatally shot during a gunbattle that resulted in the killing of Arturo Beltran Leyva, one of Mexico's most wanted drug lords. The killing of his family members has raised speculation in Mexico that it was an act of retaliation by the Beltran Leyva's drug cartel. Very early Tuesday, gunmen entered the family's home and opened fire, killing Angulo Cordova's mother, sister and a third relative, the state-run Notimex news agency reported. Angulo Cordova's brother was injured in the shooting. Angulo Cordova was the only military fatality in last week's operation against Beltran Leyva in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Six other drug cartel members also died in the confrontation. Beltran Leyva's death was a huge blow to one of Mexico's most violent groups.

In today’s news I read about the capture of Teodoro "El Teo" Garcia Simental, one of Mexico's most wanted drug traffickers, was arrested Tuesday. Mexican federal police, assisted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, made the arrest in the city of La Paz, Mexico. Garcia Simental was a top lieutenant of the Tijuana cartel until he defected to the rival Sinaloa cartel after a power struggle. Authorities presented Garcia Simental, together with another man captured in the raid, Diego Raymundo Gutierrez Gomez, to the media in Mexico City on Tuesday. One of his jobs for the Arellano-Felix cartel was disposing of bodies, Pequeno said. Garcia Simental is accused of disposing of 300 body parts by dipping them in acid. Tuesday's arrest was the result of more than five months of intelligence operations.

Today I read about a taxi can driver who is suspected of being a terrorist. He is also suspected of being a part of the Najibullah Zazi, who is accused of conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction on U.S. soil. Zarein Ahmedzay pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court to lying to a federal agent. He also pleaded not guilty to a federal agent about planning to use an explosive on September 11, 2009. The FBI executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon and confiscated Medunjanin's passport. After turning over his passport to authorities at his home, he left his house and at some point started "driving faster and faster," even though authorities were not chasing him. He hit another car in the rear and NYPD took him into custody for fleeing the scene of an accident.
I wonder how this guy became a suspect in the first place. I wonder if he became a suspect just because of the way he looked. I also think that the people must have been planning this terrorism thing a long time ago if he came to the U.S in 1994.
I learned that there was a conspiracy theory that they were going to use explosives on September 11,2009.

In today’s news I read about Maria a young girl who was a enslaved. Even before her 18th birthday, Maria had already been enslaved by a gang of human traffickers and held in captivity for four months in her homeland of Mexico. While a prisoner, Maria witnessed a sickening trade in human life and recalls how young girls were drugged, forced into prostitution and then murdered. What makes Maria's story so special is that she was one of the lucky ones who were able to escape. Maria, whose real name we aren't using, used to live in the border town of Ciudad Juarez.
The city is home to two drug cartels that fight a bloody turf war for lucrative smuggling routes to America.
In a four-day period, 41 people were murdered, while over the past decade, 450 women were killed and 3,000 went missing. Maria described how at the age of 16 she was lured off the streets by a young man who promised the world, but delivered nothing but pain.
She was raped, drugged and sold for sex. "They took a gallon of gasoline and started pouring it over a girl," Maria said.
Wednesday- Today I read about an earth quake that took place in Haiti. The people said it was like something that might happen in the end of the world. The concrete floors seemed to have lifted out of place and cracked. There were many injuries and a few people died while others watched in terror. This was a very strong earthquake and they seemed to have not been ready for. The people also seemed to be so shocked they walked around through the disaster and thought it looked as if it were from a movie scene. The shake was so strong that buildings began to crumble down. Police tried everything in their power to save some without any promises.
This was a sad article and I feel really bad for the people of Haiti. The earth seems to be mad at the humans and is giving them the shake down we give it. I think Haiti was targeted because they seem to be a really dirty place with a lot of trash.
I learned that Mother nature is no one to mess around with because she will come back and hit you harder.
Today I read a
about two teenagers that are being accused of fatally shooting a pair of brothers outside their parents home over in the county of San Diego. They were convicted yesterday of murder charges for two accounts of second degree murder and what is going to affect there case up is that bouth of them are documented gang members. The gang members were age 19 and the other one was 16 years of age and bouth of them are being maintained with a second degree text murder charges and are being tried as an a adult in the superior san Diego court.

In today’s news a suicide bomber attacked a market. In a market in Kabul, Afghanistan a terrorist attacked the market where 15 people died and 13 injured. The Afghan government couldn’t DEFFERENTIATE the difference between the terrorist and another shopper. The Terrorist knew that it was a shopping day were many people would be on the market. The Afghan Government CLARIFIED that 20 people were dead and 13 were injured. It happened at the Haji Mohamed Nasim market in Uruzgan province. The Afghanistan Government said that the Death Toll is more likely to increase as People go through the Rubble. The Market AREA is possible to search through to find more bodies.
I think its for the people who died. I also think that more bodies will be found. Maybe the attack wasn’t carried out my a Middle eastern terrorist.

Today I read about a 18year old girl that went to jail for murder. She went to jail because she killed a 22 year old girl. The reason of this confutation is because the 18 year old got pregnant by the 22 year olds daughter father and the guy off both of the babies wanted to be with the 18 year old so the 22 year old got mad ad told the guy tat she was going to keep his daughter away from him because he got another family to take care of. So one day she popped up at the 18 year old house and they got into a big argument and th3e 18 year old beat up and knocked her out and she died.
I think that’s what the 22 year old get because first of all she don’t have no right going to nobody's house disrespecting and she already got the point the guy don’t want to be with her ao why is she doing all that so I think she deserved what she got and she needed to think about her actions before she did them now she's dead and the baby is going to live with the dad and the dad is going to marry the girl that’s in jail so either way she wsnt getting the guy back.

This morning I read about an 8 month year old named Gabriel who has gone missing. Police have said that an Arizona couple who wanted to adopt Gabriel know more than what they’re saying. Gabriel hasn’t been seen since December 26. His birth mother is also in jail for not reporting to the custody hearing on the 28th of December. Gabriel’s father Logan , did not agree to the adoption. He did not agree to sign the papers, but Gabriel’s mother was urging him to do so. Gabriel’s mother didn’t want Logan to have the baby, but the adoption couldn’t go through because Logan wouldn’t sign the papers.
I think that the father should keep the baby. I also think the mother has issues since she can’t give her baby up for adoption unless the father agrees to it. I also wonder why she would want to give her baby up for adoption when he is already 8 month years old, why didn’t she do it earlier.
I learned that little child custody deals can turn into a big deal.
Thursday- Today I read an article that another article saved a person’s life. The article read that a student saved his teacher’s daughter by writing an essay. This was because the essay was about a certain type of diabetes. When the teacher read the essay she noticed that her daughter had some of the symptoms of this diabetes. The scared teacher then took her daughter to the hospital a few days later and she was diagnosed with that diabetes. The fourteen year old was at a sugar level of 400 when the normal should be 70 to 120. That says that the girl was on the edge of going into a coma. The teacher was relieved that she read the article right away and not waited because then it would have been too late. The girl is in the hospital and is being treated for her illness.
This is a sad story because ea mom found out her daughter had a life threatening illness. The boy who wrote the article must have been really happy to have chosen that essay topic. I think the daughter should be really thankful to the boy because of him she is still alive.
I learned that sometimes life works mysteriously and you should go to the doctors regularly to get checked up for every thing before its too late.
Friday- today I read about a famous R&B singer who just passed away. The famous singer died of a disease at fifty nine years old. He died at a hospital in Philadelphia were he was born. The family did not release reports on the illness but it was said it was because a car accident in 1982. This man had a really good history as he started out being just a drummer. He then moved on to being one of the lead singers for his old time band called The Cadillac's. It was said that this singer was in a car accident and it seems to had left him paralyzed for a while. This was a seriously devastated loss for the family of three children.
I think this was a sad story but then again he didn’t die young. He also got to live the rich life as a singer where most people don’t. The family should be devastated and miss him a lot.
I learned that even if you get in a car accident and come out alive it can still come back and get you.

In today’s news I read about this 10 years old boy who admitted shooting and killing his dad and another man in ’08 was sentenced Thursday to "in-patient treatment" that could go on for several years. The boy pleaded guilty in February to one count of negligent homicide in exchange for a plea deal that dropped the two counts of murder he was charged with initially. The boy was accused of killing his father, Vincent Romero, 29, and Tim Romans, 39, who rented a room in Romero's home in St. Johns, Arizona. Both men were found dead at the home November 5, 2008, and police said the next day that the boy confessed to shooting them with a .22-caliber weapon. At the time, the boy was 8. "Under the plea agreement, he can be there (in treatment) up until he is 18," Apache County, Arizona, Attorney Michael Whiting said after the sentencing. "We hope that the treatment won't take that long. Obviously, it's not going to be successful if he is there when he is 18, and they are still treating him.“ Whiting did not specifically describe what type of treatment the boy will undergo, beyond saying a psychiatrist will be involved and that the youth will be kept at his treatment facility with no ability to leave. This kid is lucky he didn’t get sentenced 25 to life or cya. Because that’s like first degree murder and that could be a life sentence in prison. He did the right thing of confessing that he did killed his dad and he just going to get 8 years of treatment or therapy.

In today’s news A boy who killed his father is sentenced to prison. A 10-Year old boy who admitted killing his father and another adult pleaded guilty to murder. It has been CLARIFIED that the boy was accused of killing his Father Vincent Romero, 29 and Tim Romans, 39 who was Romero's roommate in Arizona. Both men were found dead on the AREA of there home on November 5 2008 while the boy was 8 years old. The Judge ordered the boy to go to treatment until he’s 18. The boy’s attorney testified that they hope he will be done by the time he’s 18 and that he doesn’t take a long time. It is ordered that the boy will be DIFFERENTIATED from normal Society until he finishes his treatment. The boy has cried and apologized to committing murder.
I think its that a boy would kill his dad. The boys mom didn’t testified about the case. I think that the boy deserves a second chance.
