Monday- Today I read about a girl who received the highest cell phone bill ever. The girl and her mom had gone on a trip to Dubai and came home to a big shock. Both had received a call saying that they were not going to be charged with internet service. Well as soon as they got home they had a 16,379 dollar cell phone bill. The phone company was saying that they had to pay about 75 percent only but they are still in denial. They have been trying to take it to court but there is no evidence saying that they were told they were not going to be charged. The company is known to also have done this because the lawyer of these girls said that he specializes in these type of cases and he has seen this before. The negotiation is still being settled and the article will have an update on it soon.
This was a very shocking story because someone received a 16000 dollar cell phone bill. This is one of the reason’s why I do not want a cell phone because they are always doing this to people. There should be a big case on this and there should be a good amount of money no being spent by the victims.
I learned that cell phone companies are really cruel to people and will do anything to get a good amount of money.
Monday -In today’s newspaper I ran across a article regarding marijuana. Some California initiatives are trying to legalize Marijuana in the state. Petitions have been turned in with thousands of signatures saying yes to marijuana. They fell that by legalizing it, it will solve a lot of problems going on right now. They compared this situation to the conduct of the alcohol situation . Putting a ban on it will only make the problem worse. While some think this is a bad idea, legally administering it will help out or economy a lot. Improving our economy is the main element. Even while legalized there will be a set of laws controlling the drug.

Today I read about a group of Italian scientist who might discover mysteries about Leonardo da Vinci. Mysteries that might be discovered are how did he die ? Are the remains really his ? And if the Mona Lisa is a self disguised portrait of him ? The scientist are seeking permission from French authorities to dig up the body and CONDUCT carbon and DNA testing. Scientist do not know what they will find it the tomb. The body ELEMENTS may be all dust by now. “The Amboise tomb is a symbolic tomb; it’s a big question mark,”. Vezzosi, who is not involved in the project asked to open the tomb in 2004 to study the remains but was turned down.
I think this is interesting. I kind of think that the remains are not going to be Leonardo’s. I can’t wait to find out if the Mona Lisa is a self disguised portrait of himself.
I learned that scientist think that the Mona Lisa may be a self disguised portrait of Leonardo himself, I never knew that.
Teacher jade my computer restarted and didnt save my summary...

In Today’s news The State supreme court ruled that the state might not be able to indefinitely hold violent sex predators in jail. In a case from San Diego the court stated that prosecutors had to provide more evidence to treat Sexual violent predators differently from sex offenders. Mentally disordered people who CONDUCTED Sexual offenses do not violate the equal protection guarantees of the constitution that the cases beck to San Diego. The Jessica law created a range of regulations for dealing with different classes of Sexual offenses. The Ruling had been ADMINISTERED in the case of Richard McKee, who was accused of molesting two girls under the age of 11. The Court sought to have him committed as a Violent Sex Predator. Before the Jessica law passed commitment would run for a two year term, which can be longer if prosecutors proved the ELEMENT that the person remained a danger to the public. The Defendant had to prove there no longer a danger to win release.
I do think there is a difference between Sex offenders and Sex Predators. The Sex offenders should prove that they are mentally cured to win release. The Sex Predators have to go through a more difficult process.

In today's news I read about 11 suspects facing serious charges of burglary. For months they were ripping off their neighbors in daytime burglaries and selling for drugs. Sheriff’s deputies conducted eight people in Santee yesterday morning believed to be responsible for a series of thefts netted jewelry and other property worth $50,000. Five men ranging in age from 18 to 21, a 19 year old woman and two 17 years old boys were picked up from homes in the northern part of the city. Three 17 year old boys, also believed to be part of the ring, were arrested previously. A lady named Ann Leap who has lived in Santee for more than 20 years told police that one of her family members were one of the victims. The burglars entered her home through an unlocked door during the day and stole several items including video games, an XBOX and two cell phones.
Tuesday - Today in the paper, i read a article about a murder. This 15 year old girl attacked her mother with a Hammer one morning. Her and her mother was arguing over her conduct, and she got mad. She has been saving up this anger all year. One day decided to just solve the problem with violence. He girlfriend administered the idea of killing her mother. A Mental disorder is a key element . Turns out she inherits being crazy from her biological parents.
Tuesday- Today I read about A girl I was busted with she killed her mom with an ax and now her final sentence is 16 yrs to life she’s going to prison with the big girls. Hopefully she can hang in the with them. I don’t believe she should get 16 yrs I think that her mis-conduct should have brought her less time with early release if she’s good. There’s hope for her yet her element I believe is humor and if she can only crack a joke with the jury to soften them up. I knew her and she only wanted to be free of her mom and her crazy tactics. If only there was another way for her to have done something better to get away from her mom. And at the she’s adopted how would you feel if you found out you were adopted and your mom hating on you because you like girls? Well all these feelings a teenage girl is feeling coming down on her because she’s different. What teen isn’t? Everybody deserves a second chance. Not just the good people I’m not saying she’s bad but she needs a chance to rehabilitate.
tuesday !!!!
This morning I read about a girl named Heath D Aoust who is 16 and killed her adoptive mother with a claw hammer. Heather was sentenced to 16 years to life. San Diego Court Judge Michael Wellington said he was convinced Heather suffered from severe mental health disorder. Heather had planned to not only kill her mother, but to kill everyone who lived in the house. James D Aoust her father (adoptive) forgave Heather for killing his wife of 30 years. He claims that she is not “evil” and that she just has mental issues. Some of Heather family on the other hand do not forgive her like her grandfather, and one of her sisters. Heather has to do at least 16 years until she is eligible for parole.
I think that Heather’s father is a very nice person for even talking to Heather. I would not even care what happened to her if I was him. I think that she was just a girl who did not get what she wanted and thought she can get away with what she did.
I learned about a girl who is now 16 killed her mother with a claw hammer 2 years ago.

Today I read about an uneasy mixture of sadness, anger, and compassion bug in the courtroom air yesterday as a 16-year-old girl who beat her foster mother to death with a hammer was sentence to prison. The mood was punctuated by several heavy sighs from onlookers. One came from her father he forgave her for killing his wife. Another came from the judge that sentence her 16 to life. I don’t know what I think about this because behind everything this a story and maybe she killed her because she didn’t like how she was getting treated and they wasn’t even her real parents they was her foster parents so they really didn’t matter to her don’t think that 16 years was an appropriate sentence because that’s to long and she only 16 and she spent a lot of time in juvenile hall already so I don’t know if I was the judge I would of let her go when she turned 18 or something. Because I no if I killed a foster parent that tries to be my mom I would of killed her and expected to get out the next day well only I can get out the next day because I'm Bick like that. Something like a princess actually a queen in training.

In today's news I read about ten people have been arrested in San Diego County as part of a nationwide sweep that led to the arrest of 476 gang members and associates accused of being linked to international drug cartels. Members of six local gangs were arrested in San Marcos, Escondido, Vista and Lemon Grove as part of a Project Big Freeze. Two of them are facing criminal prosecution in federal court and two in state court. The rest of them are going to get deported. Out of the 476 arrested, 207 are facing criminal charges and the others are getting deported. This arrest happened in 83 cities. Half of those arrested are accused of having ties to drug-trafficking groups in Mexico, South America and Asia. The gang members are accused of working for international criminal groups in the United States, including drug dealing, robbery, assault and homicide.
In today’s news, a child’s body was discovered in Tijuana River Valley. There was someone searching for the dead bodies of two children who were swept away by rushing water in Tijuana last week found the body of a young boy who looked like he was 3 or 4 and his identity is pending. There was a group that were ADMINISTERED to search for missing migrants called Desert Angels. Three children in the same family went missing after their car was trapped in a creek in Tijuana. The body of the eldest girl was found yesterday near a mound of trash washed into the Tijuana River and was described as that of an ELEMENT of a female toddler and the case has been turned over to the Sheriff’s Department and county medical examiner for them to CONDUCT the investigation.
Tuesday- Today I read about San Diego the most beautiful city in the U.S. I read that this cities crime rate has dropped from years. Overall the crime rate has dropped nearly eighteen percent in two-thousand nine. Homicides dropped 25.5 within 41 last year and officials compared it to 55 in 2008. The article states that this rate is as low as back in 1972 when the population was nearly half the size it is today. The rate that has also dropped was the rape crime as it was the only violent crimes to rise in the past few years. Although the city saw a decrease of 15.4 percent in the past year or so. The city also thinks that the reason other crimes are increasing are because of tough economic times. The other crimes are said to be incidents of domestic violence and potential suicides.
Knowing that our beautiful city is not all messed up with crime and dose not look like bumish like L.A. it feels really good. This is a good thing but then we might have dumb people come and start killing others and stealing cars and they must be stopped. The police are really strict here and to me it seems that it is really hard to get away with anything.
I learned that San Diego is a really safe city and it is hard to do anything bad.

In today’s news an American has been held on the North Korean border. North Korea announced that it has detained another U.S man for trespassing into the North Korean border. The man attempted to use the ELEMENT of surprise to sneak into North Korea, but failed. The man was not identified, but it is believed that he was trying to get into Korea, to bring up the issue of Human rights in North Korea. The North Korean Central News Agency are trying to CONDUCT a search on the detained man and reported that he is a U.S missionary who South Korean activist say crossed into the country from a frozen river. Today North Korea also fired more artillery near the disputed western sea border with south Korea. It was ADMINISTERED that the poorly marked sea border is a constant source of tensions between both countries. The firing of artillery shells to the west killed one sailor and injured three others.
I think that the North Korean governments hates America and wants to keep there hostages. But also there are some people who risk entering the country illegally. The man was trying to raise the issue on human rights to give more rights to the Korean citizens.

In today’s new I read about A Williams Township woman has been charged with second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of her newborn son. Nicole Kipfmiller, 19, is accused of dumping the boy in a party store dumpster near Midland and Flajole roads in Bay County's Williams Township. The boy's body was found Dec. 11 in a trash container behind the store. An autopsy revealed the baby was born alive shortly before the body was discovered. The cause of death has not been released. Kipfmiller was arrested by police Monday night after a nearly two month long investigation. Investigators know who the baby’s father is, but no charges are pending against him. It allows an infant, up to 72 hours old, to be left with an on-duty hospital, police or fire station employee without consequence.
Wednesday - In Today’s news i ran across a article about sex offenders. The court had let a Sex Offender off.She got away with no charges, and no living restrictions. Meaning the child molester can live anywhere she want. I personally think that the court should had at least put a restraining order on her. Now she probably molesting some kids as we speak. The court systems are unjust. They claimed they didn't have enough evidence but she was charged in 2006.
Wednesday- Today I read about a tailor from Columbia and what’s so unique about this man is that he is the CEO and maker of bullet proof fashion. He makes and sells them to presidents of the Latin country or body guards and security guards. Also all his employees have to take the test before they work for him. And the test is for the employees he shoots them for the test and if they don’t take it then they don’t get the job. He has boutiques in Mexico and there all in the same street. He wants to open boutiques all around the world because he believes that they will do very well for safety and money wise. The bullet proof fashion is flexible not the heavy weight but light weight and durable. The thing is though is that it’s the same the heavy weight and the light weight it protects you. Fashion icons all around the world and politicians even regular people. Maybe one day you’ll be wearing one.

In today’s news a national zoo says good bye to a panda. Tai Shan a 4.5 will be missed from the National zoo, in Washington D.C. On Saturday the zoo will CONDUCTED a good bye party for Tai Shan, but was shortened due to snowfall. Many people who enjoyed seeing Tai Shan grow up these last four years are going to see him. However Tai Shan will only be in Exhibit this week and will leave to return to its Natural ELEMENT in China. The last opportunity to see Tai Shan will be tomorrow from 10:00 am- 4:30 pm. The zoo has ADMINISTERED the transfer for Friday to China. Tai Shan will return to China with a zoo keeper and another Panda who will, both participate in the Breeding Program in China.
I think a lot of people will miss the Panda. The Panda also has to return to its natural habitat to live. Maybe the Panda can return to the original zoo in a couple years.

This morning I read about a lottery winner who was buried under concrete. Dorice Moore was arrested on suspicion of being part of the murder. Dorice befriended Abraham Shakespeare after he had won the $31 million lottery. Dorice is denying the entire thing, and saying that she is pretty sure he is still alive. She also said that she was helping Abraham manage his money because it felt like a curse to him. Investigators also say that Dorice was also using Abraham’s phone and texting Abrahams family saying he is still alive and to be all right.
I think this is sad. People are so obsessed with money that they would go through all the trouble to befriend someone just to want to kill them later.
I learned that if I win the lottery I will not accept any peoples friendship who want to be my friend.

This morning I read an article about a 12 year old girl who was locked in the closet except to attend school or use the bathroom. If she needed the restroom during the night, she had to use a bucket in the closet, police said. The girl would do her homework by light coming from beneath the closet door. She slept on quilts on the cement floor. The girl was so malnourished that she appeared to be only 8 years old and though old enough to be in seventh grade, she was in fifth, police said. Child Protective Services ADMINISTERED an investigated after one of her three brothers alerted school officials. I think these people should never be able to see they're children again, they don’t deserve to.

This morning I read about a Michigan woman who has been charged with exploiting her daughter after investigators found explicit photos of the girl on a convicted sex offender's computer. The FBI says a man created a paid Web site up to eight years ago to display photos of the girl. The girls mother would then collect customers money from western union offices. I don’t know how someone could do this to a child, especially to your own child. People are disgusting and CONDUCT themselves like creeps.

This morning I read an article about a woman in Connecticut who was found dead with her newborn triplets at her home where she had given birth. The local newspaper reported that her mother found her. The mother stated that she didn’t know whether her 26-year-old daughter was aware she was pregnant. She stated no one in the family knew she was pregnant. Emergency medical workers who responded said the triplets were carried full term. I don’t understand how you don’t know you are pregnant, let alone with triplets. That’s crazy. There are so many ELEMENTS of being pregnant how could you not know. I think there is another story behind it. They should CONDUCT a full investigation on this.
Wednesday- Today I read about how new technology is being introduced to the world. The new technology is coming from many companies though. First it was the NINTENDO company with the newest gaming technology. At this time it is now going to be Microsoft with their new video virtual movements. Sony on the other side is also working on something special for the public. Although even Apple is getting into the race with having a new product that seems to be a game system. These are all in a chase for the most successful game system created yet. NINTENDO is working on something even newer with a Wii vitality sensor. This is a really good technology competition but yet there is a lot of money that is being spent. The vitality sensor is said to read your pulse and help you relax and other types of things.
This is a really good article because literally I love technology. The thing is my favorite game system is one of the oldest one called a Super Nintendo. In which was back when I was a really young kid and now everything is really high tech.
I learned that as I get older everything in my surroundings is also changing and getting newer along with me.
Wednesday - In Today’s news i ran across a article about sex offenders. The court had let a Sex Offender off. She got away with no charges, and no living restrictions. Meaning the child molester can live anywhere she want. I personally think that the court should had at least administered a restraining order on her. Now she probably molesting some kids as we speak. The court systems are unjust that a major element. They claimed they didn't have enough evidence, but she was charged in 2006 for her conduct.
Thursday- In Today's news, a article about a old woman being tortured caught my attention. As i read on, i learned that a old woman was tortured by two man. The woman survived and Administered questions to the convicts. She asked why did they do it, they replied with sorry for the conduct. This brings up the question in my head, if i survived a murder and had the chance to asked the murderer why. What would they say? I don't understand why these men could do that to an old lady. I think hate and being money hungry is the two main elements in this case.

Today I read about a woman that escaped in the 70’s is to be released in Michigan. After three decades on the run and then about a year behind bars, a Carmel Valley woman convicted of selling drugs in the 1970s will be released from a Michigan prison today. Susan LeFevre, 54, escaped from prison in 1976 and disappeared for 32 years until the U.S Marshals tracked her down last spring. LeFevre, who married years ago and goes by the name Marie Walsh, was paroled in January but order to served another four months in the Detroit-area prison due to record of misconduct while in the facility. The Michigan Department of Corrections has agreed to transfer her parole to California so she can return home. A department spokesman named John Cordell say that they think she just wants to go back to her normal life. LeFevre pleaded guilty to selling heroin as a 19-year-old in 1974, and later she said she was shocked to learn she would be sentenced to 10 to 20 years. Court documents portrayed her as a major player in the Saginaw drug world, but LeFevre denies it. She escaped from a Michigan prison in 1976 after serving about 14 months by climbing over the prisons barbed wire fence. Her grandfather picked her up and helped her disappeared. Last year, LeFevre pleased guilty to the escape charges and was sentenced to probation.

Thursday- Today I read about an elder woman who got kidnapped and beat and stuffed into the trunk of her car. Both parties apologized at court when it was their turn to be sentenced. But would you believe it? She said a few words to them when they let her speak. “I don’t know why you did this to me, Jeff. I was very nice to you, I want to know was it worth it what you did?” he spoke “ I’m sorry truly and deeply sorry.” the jury sentenced him to two life terms in prison plus nine years. A second defendant “the second party in this whole ordeal” was sentenced yesterday to 10 years and four months in prison. Osborne pleaded guilty in December to charges of physical abuse of an elderly victim and second-degree robbery. He, too offered an apology. His words were “Ms. Herbst, I wanted to say I’m truly sorry and I accept my punishment.” Osborne said. Now the two men have learned their fates during back to back sentencing hearings in El Cajon superior court.

This morning I read about a man named David Moses Jassy who is being convicted for killing a activist named John Osnes. David Moses Jassy is a musician, he now faces 15 years to life in prison. This all happened in November 2008. It all started when David was driving and passed the pedestrian lines. John then banged on the hood of David’s car. David got out and punched John in the face and kicked him really hard din the head. John then bent down to get his glasses, and David then ran him over. David said “it was going to be an argument not a fight”. Several jurors outside court said they were not sure if David ran John over John on purpose, or knew what he had done.
I think that this guy David should never had touched John, John was a 55 year old man. David probably did not know how old John was, but If a man is 55 you can tell, unless you are blind. Also David did do this on purpose, how do you not know that you ran over a man, and if it was supposed to be an argument not a fight why did he hit him several times ?
I learned that when people are getting sentenced to a long time in prison, people say a lot of lies, that do not even make sense.
Today I read about Former Mexican official urges legalizing marijuana. The United States and Mexico should both legalize marijuana in an attempt to break the power of the Mexican drug cartels and end the spiraling violence south of the border. Marijuana should be legalized in both countries, it is ridiculous for Mexico to try to stop marijuana from entering the United States when it's legally sold for medical purposes in California. The DEA says that 60 percent of the Mexican drug cartels profits come from marijuana. In the past month alone, 900 people were killed, a new monthly record. Sixteen students died in what's thought to be a drug-related massacre in the border city of Juarez over the weekend. I think President Calderon rushed into this, and now we're paying the consequences. Mexico is paying an enormously high price because of the aggressive approach of the Calderon government. He said the administration should be seeking to contain drug cartels, not destroy them. It's not different from what 100,000 American troops are doing in Afghanistan with heroin. Not one of those troops is combating the heroin traffic from Afghanistan. They're containing it because they have other priorities. it's going to take more than one administration in Mexico City to defeat the drug cartels. He also called on the United States to provide more help: "In order for Mexico to be successful in this war, we need increased cooperation with the United States to stem the flow of cash, weapons, and ammo from the United States to Mexico. I think that its true that marijuana should be legalize so the percent of the cartels violence should lower.
In today’s paper I read about transplants. A couple got together to give there kidneys away to someone that really needed them. Patti Ford she is 50 she gave carols a kidney from Bryan husband Paul. All the surgeries were made Wednesday on hillcrest hospital. There were four surgeries. The donators felt really good about helping these people. And the receives felt great and they said thanks to the donators they feel there alive. Patti said that she felt good right away when she woke up from the surgery she felt like she had no problems. Patti is really exited to receive a kidney that she’s looking forward to return to water and snow skiing activities she really liked before going on dialysis.
In today’s paper I read about a police chief was grilled at the police department. The police Jim Maher was on a Latino American democratic clubbing a meeting they had in which they reported the crime that had happened. Lots of Latinos and whites who report crime has narrowed. 42 percent of all people who reported the crime’s were Latino's compared with 51 percent white. It’s a totally difference because last years 46 percent were Latino’s and 47 percent were white. The numbers have reduce of accidents .its really interesting how these numbers reduce in less than a year. Everyone is stopped at driver's license checkpoints he said not just Latino's. only those who do not have proper identification they take them to the police to station for warrant and criminal history check
Thursday- This morning I read about the ending of a really sad situation. The article was about an elderly woman who was kidnapped and beaten a while back. There was a twenty year old involved and a nineteen year old also. It was said that the twenty year old showed up to the elderly woman’s home and choked her until she passed out. He then put her in the trunk of her own vehicle and sped off showing up to the other suspects home. The elderly woman spent twenty six hours in custody of these suspects and most of all that time was spent in her vehicle’s trunk. The court just sentenced the twenty year old to two life sentencing and nine years. The other suspect received eighteen months in a correctional facility. While at court the victim spoke only once and asked the suspect why he did it and if it was worth it.
This is a sad story because the suspect is getting two life terms and is only twenty years old. There should be a chance for him to get out or have a chance on less time. I might be able to understand him because I hate elderly white woman that look like the victim because they are always really racist and always assume that a Mexican walking by them is trying to assault them.
I learned that when it comes to doing something bad to a white woman you better not get caught.
THURSDAY
In today’s news I read about a teenager who was accused in a DUI crash that killed a Santee woman last year pleaded not guilty to several charges in Juvenile Court yesterday and was placed under house arrest. The girl is now 18 but when this happened she was 17 when she crashed, she was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, car theft, hit-and-run causing injury, hit-and-run causing property damages and also driving without a license. The girls named is not going to be said because she's getting charged as a minor. People say the teen was driving a black Ford Ranger north on state Route 125 about 6:30 am Sept. 20 when she came off the freeway at Mission Gorge Road and blindsided 53-year-old Pamela Marabeas, who was sitting in her Ford Explorer about to hit left to get to the freeway. The impact sent both vehicles across the road and over the curb onto an embankment the same spot where a while back like three weeks the Highway Patrol named Mark Saylor and his family were killed after crashing in a runaway Lexus.

In today’s news a man faces two life terms for Kidnapping and torturing a women. Natalie Sandy Herbst-Vinge, 77 wanted to ask Jeffrey Edward Nelson, 20 and Luis Osborne, 19 that if kidnapping her was worth it. Nelson and Osborne CONDUCTED an apology to Herbst-Vinge, but still face 21 and 10 year sentencing's. Herbst-Vinge remembered that on December 2008 Nelson came to her house to use her phone, but when she wasn’t looking he choked her, until she fainted then put her in the trunk of her car. Herbst-Vinge had the ELEMENT to endure the harsh kidnapped, then Nelson took the car to Osborne where they both went to places with it. They both had tortured her and one of them had punched her. But it all ended when a Sherriff tried to ADMINESTERED them a ticket for speeding and then checked the trunk. Herbst-Vinge then suffered a heart attack and spent months in the Hospital, before confronting her abductors at the sentencing.
I think its sad that the old Lady had to suffer through all that. I do think the punishments are fair. They haven't responded to why they kidnapped her.

Friday- Today I read about a young man by the name of Jesus Navarro Montes. He was accused of killing a border patrol cop in the sand desert. He was run down by a hummer and supposedly Mr. Navarro was driving the truck. The Mexican prison had him in custody he admitted to running him down and he got released days later. The United States failed to ask for extradition. Navarro was rearrested and is charged with using a drug-laden hummer to kill border patrol agent Luis Aguilar, he had been in the Mexican prison on unrelated smuggling charge. I also read about reported child abuse. Sexual and emotional abuse being reported all around the world. The percentage has skyrocketed and gone up. 553,000 children suffered physical, sexual, or emotional abuse in 2005-06. it went down 26 percent from the estimated 743,200 abuse victims in 1993.
Friday- Today I read about a fatal shooting that happened in Escondido. The shooting was of an eighteen year old who was shot in the chest and died at the scene of the crime. The shooting is known to be gang related and is still under investigation. The boy and his cousin were walking home from school when a black SUV stopped by them and started to call out an argument. One of the SUV’s passengers then pulled out a small handgun and shot the victim. The suspects cousin ran from the scene before he was hit too. The suspect was a good person who was just about to receive a high school diploma but ended his life sooner than he thought. This is what gangs and violence lead to and that is why there is a group of people who are helping out.
This was a sad story because I too am going to receive my high school diploma and I know how it feels. The people of that community are doing the right thing in starting a peace treaty act against violence. This is also to all the gang members out there who are just getting into it this is a result of it.
I learned that gangs never lead to any good even if you try to really hard.
FRIDAY !
This morning I read about a guy who tried to smuggle weed in bananas. About a ton of marijuana, an estimated $1.17 million was found in the bananas. The guy who tried to smuggle it was a 40 year old Mexican truck driver trying to cross into the United States. The customs Protection Officers has a drug dog screen the cargo. Officers then found thin square, wrapped packages hidden among the bananas. The driver was then arrested. On Thursday Officers then found 315 packages of marijuana weighing 3,877 ponds in a shipment of peppers and green beans.
I think all these Mexican people killing all these innocent people, smuggling drugs into the U.S is making Mexicans look bad. I think It is kind of embarrassing. If they are trying to come to the U.S it should be for a good reason like working or going to school not doing things illegally.
I learned that it is getting harder and harder for people to smuggle drugs across the border.
FRIDAY
In today’s news I read about County probation officials are reviewing how they can better protect juveniles in custody after five boys at the East Mesa juvenile Detention Facility RESPONDED in a national survey that they had been sexually victimized by a jail staff member. Of the 36 boys surveyed at East Mesa, a boys-only facility in east Otay Mesa, 14 percent said that they had been the victim of sexual misconduct by a staff member in the past year. The roughly 230 boys housed at East Mesa are in the PROCESS of serving longer sentences. Nationwide, 10 percent of the youth reported an incident that ASSUMED staff, and 95 percent said the incident was with a female staff.

In Today's news i read a article about the border patrol. Seems that the man who killed the border patrol officer, was let go by them. This happen before the indecent, and cost them a life. He also used his sneaky element to smuggle marijuana across the border. The suspect got away again but they happened to seize his car, that he killed the man in. in the car he had 900 pounds of marijuana stuffed in it. The officers conduct helped the suspect to get away. They eventually caught the man and administered justice. I think its good that the officers at least stopped a smuggle.

In today’s news a community college has been put on probation. Southwestern College in Chula Vista could lose its accreditation, if it does not address the problems in the school. The School in Chula Vista has until October 2011 to solve the ELEMENT of the problems in the college. The superintendent commented that is all to improve the problems of the college and not to punish the students. The is the biggest problem facing the college since a staff member CONDUCTED a sexual assault. To keep its accreditation the Campus must show good improvement by October 2011. Its been ADMINISTERED that in the area five colleges have received letters, but only one lost its accreditation. Losing its accreditation means that credit courses would not transfer to other schools.
I think that the school should be more serious if it doesn’t want to lose its accreditation. I do think the college should fix its problems. It will be determined whether to lose its accreditation in October.
ajshaneeeee FRIDAY
Today I read about mentally ill detainee’s treatment at hospitals worries advocates. Federal immigration send mentally ill detainees to a private psychiatric hospital in La Mesa, where they are shackled to beds 24 hours a day, prohibited from watching television or using the phone, and cut off from family. Disability lawyers and advocates for the mentally ill say the conditions at Alvarado Parkway Institute in La Mesa violate state and federal laws governing treatment of mentally ill people. API, is one of the little known network of private hospitals that the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement uses to hold severely mentally ill detainees around the country, often out of reach of lawyers and even their families. A lawyer, Ann Menasche, said that she’s been to API and spoken to detainees there. In an eight-page letter sent to immigration officials, Menasche said the conditions are “ excessive, unjustifiable and punitive.” She also said that they violate California Laws covering the rights of patients in psychiatric hospitals, as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s own standards and rules for detaining immigrants. The state law give psychiatric patients certain rights, such as permission to see daily visitors, access to a phone and so on. Sean Riordan said an immigration detainee, particularly one that is mentally disabled, is entitled to broad protections and that means being treated in a decent way and not being exposed to deprivations that don’t bear any reasonable relation to security. This is so sad, people are cruel really.

In today's new, I read an article about Obama. Many voters that picked Obama are upset. Obama promised change and we see no change. Every thing he said hasn’t happened, Our economy is still in the gutter, and nothing is being done about it. I believe that Obama will administer change and everybody has to wait and be patient. He just a president not a magician he can just make all of it happen in the snap of a finger. Its like they keep pressuring him to hurry up. Obama has been showing good conduct. The people is the major element in his campaign.

Monday -In today's news I read a article about Ladanian Tomlinson. Front page read “I'm not coming back” a quote made by Tomlinson. Resource says LT expects the chargers to release him. He is tired of his career going nowhere LT is a Hall of Famer and has never been to a Super Bowl. LT seeks success and staying on the Chargers isn't going to help him reach his goal. He doesn't know what team he is going to transfer to yet, but expects better to come out of it. I think his decision to change was good, because he’s to talented. Staying on the sorry Charger will keep him in his ditch.
