Monday- Today I read about a couple different stories the first one I read about was of a man that is missing he is 88 years old and has Alzheimer’s. I feel really bad for this old man because he probably doesn’t remember where he lives or anything. If it were my grandpa or dad I’d be really worried I’m even worried for him now even though I'm not related to him because in downtown being lost is not cool plus he’s an old man so all the bums would jack him or use and abuse him or something. That’s not nice. I also read about the teacher that molested one of her students this woman got three years for having sexual acts with a student, which is the maximum time you can get I guess for a case like this. I think the jury and judge is stupid for just giving her three years because she deserves more time for that. Because if it was my son I’d beat her door down and knock her out.
A former teacher gets 3 years for sexual acts with a student. She was a former city heights teacher who was in touch with the family a lot she got to know them so much she moved in with them in Lomita. This is her 3rd count of molestation and the judge is going to add three counts onto her case.
Monday :)
This Wonderful morning I read about a former teacher who got three years for sexual acts with her former student. This lady used to work at Rosa Parks elementary in City Heights. She pleaded guilty to sexual acts with a 12 year old she had met when she was his fifth grade teacher. She was last tried on 17 charges related to child molestation. In December jurors said they were so dreadlocked after reaching a verdict on only three counts, and a mistrial was declared. This teacher had befriended the 12 year old boys sister, and the family took her in to stay. She would then usually molest the little boy when she was very drunk, drug use has also been an issue. The boy who is now 16 did not want to show up to the hearing because he did not want to see the teacher, and was depressed, and had not been doing very well in school. Apparently the 12 year old boy was not the only kid she had messed around with, there was another boy who she had sex with when he was 17, but the boy denies it and says they had sex after he had turned 18.
I thought that man who molest little girls are nasty, but this is also very disturbing. This story is gross because she also went out of her way to make best friends with the little sister, and made things so that they family can take her in. She has big issues. She is not even ugly, I think that she just has a thing for very young people, she needs to get help.
monday
This morning I read a story about a Costa Mesa police officer who was charged with hiding a GPS device in a woman’s car without her knowing on Thursday. Aaron Parsons was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawfully using an electronic tracking device. Parsons hid the GPS device in a 32 year old woman’s car on March 18 so he could show up wherever she was. After several encounters the woman became suspicious, checked her car and found the device. She reported it to police. Parsons faces six months in jail if convicted. I hope that there is a trial and after the jury CONVENES, I hope the find him guilty.
Monday- Today I read about the issue of a teacher who molested her student. The article read about a female teacher who is being sentenced to prison for three years. It was said that this lady made friends with the boys older sister and actually moved into their house. There she would then tell him to do stuff to her. The boy was only twelve years old at the time and he is now sixteen. The boy said he is suffering from trauma. The lady was trying to get probation instead but the court is still looking in on it. The boys family members are really disappointed with the former teacher.
I think that the boy was just Bs’ing because he probably started it. I think that in this situation the boy should get into trouble too. The whole situation sounded as if the teacher got in trouble more than the boy.
I learned that some people are messed up and snitch on others just to not get in trouble.
Monday-
Today I read an article about the Chargers choosing Ryan Matthews for their first round pick. Matthews comes from Fresno State. He also wears number 21 like LT used to. Matthews looked up to LT as a running as says that many people expect him to be as good as he was but instead of focusing on filling LT’s shoe’s he’s just going to play ball. The Chargers had to do a lot of negotiating to acquire Matthews. They were originally 28th overall but traded with Miami to move up to the 12th spot in the first round in order to get Matthews.
MONDAY
In today’s news I read about a 17-year-old boy was among the seven people killed in a afternoon shootout on Friday on the streets of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The other victims were police officers, Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz said Friday. Five were federal police officers and one was a female city police officer, all part of the joint police task force formed to combat drug violence in the border town. Another federal officer was gravely wounded. And a city officer was wounded but not with life-threatening injuries. A civilian was hit by shrapnel, but those injuries were also not serious. Reyes said the incident began when two patrol cars, one from federal police and one from city police, stopped several people they had been investigating. Gunmen in at least two vehicles attacked the police convoy with weapons including AK-47s. The mayor said it wasn't immediately clear why the police had stopped the people or whether the incident was drug related. Investigators are treating the incident "as a direct attack on police officers.

In today's news I read about a faced with international criticism over hunger-striking dissidents, President Raul Castro on Sunday said Cuba refused to give in to blackmail and accused the United States and Europe of launching "the most ferocious" media campaign against the island nation in decades. Raul Castro said that, We will never give in to blackmail, from any country or group of countries, no matter how powerful. The United States and Europe have stepped up pressure on Cuba to release political prisoners and improve its human rights record. A jailed dissident Orlando Zapata Tamayo died in February after a prolonged hunger strike. Guillermo Farinas, another government opponent, launched a hunger strike from his home shortly afterwards to demand the release of political prisoners. In his speech to an annual meeting of the Union of Communist Youth on Sunday, Castro accused the United States and Europe of "hypocritically holding up the flag of human rights."He called both Zapata Tamayo and Farinas common criminals who were manipulated by foreign powers. Cuba says there are no political prisoners on the communist island. They say dissidents are being paid by enemy governments to destabilize the country. Farinas has been in the hospital in recent days, receiving food intravenously.

Tuesday- Today I read about Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday deflected concerns that the state's new immigration law will hurt economic development, saying many businesses have long wanted tougher action. The new law requires Arizona police to determine whether people are in the United States legally if there is a reason to suspect they aren't. Brewer signed the controversial legislation into law on Friday. The bottom line is that when I go about meeting with businesses that come into Arizona . they want to know that we have a safe and secure environment into which to move their businesses here. Brewer said at an Arizona Town Hall event in Tucson. They want to know that their employees are going to have a quality of life that they've had in the places where they're moving from to move here.
Monday-
A man originally from United Kingdom, Godfrey Davies learned he needed surgery to remove polyps blocking his nasal airways, he set out on a mission to find an affordable surgeon and learned that it was all to expensive. A semiretired man from his real estate business and uninsured, says he received estimates from two surgeons. When hospital, anesthesia and incidental fees were all tallied, the cheapest price he could find in Indianapolis, Indiana, was $33,127 -- which he would need to pay out of pocket. Frustrated that his bargain shopping saved him so little, he called his family in the United Kingdom for assistance. They told him they had found a private hospital in Wales that would perform the surgery for $2,930 [or £1,897]. He bought a $768 round-trip ticket, boarded a flight to the UK to have his polyps removed there saving almost $30,000.
Tuesday-
In today’s news, the killer of Malcom X goes free after 44 years. Thomas Hagan was free to go to return to his family and to become a substance abuse counselor. He is the only man to confess in participation of killing Malcom X. He was sentenced to 20 years to life imprisonment after being found guilty in 1966. And since 1992 he was in a full-time-work-release program that allowed him to live at home with his family in Brooklyn five days a week while going to minimum-security prison just for two days. And now he was released free under certain conditions.
Tuesday- Today I read about the new one hundred dollar bill. The bill has about ten new changes. They even made it better visible for the visually impaired. The bill is said to be unable to be copied and is hopefully going to be successful. The bill even has a three dimensional touch to it on Abraham Lincoln’s shoulder. The bill will be said to already be distributed all over the U.S. The only bad thing is that since it is so much money to actually make them only a little bit are being made. The bill is a new security thing for those who make false money.
I think that these bills are just over exaggerated. They should at least spend less money making them than actually more. The government are really scared that they are going to be overrun by the people.
I learned that it takes more money to make money than it its to be done.
Tuesdays-
Today I read about how the owner of the restaurant and bakery French Gourmet hired illegal immigrants. I guess that he pleaded not guilty to federal charges that they hired illegal workers. They had falsely claimed to the government that the employees had the proper work documents. The corporation was charged with 14 counts of conspiracy, false attestation and harboring illegal immigrants. Of course if proven guilty these guy will be doing jail time. The government is seeking forfeiture of the well known restaurant as well as in unknown amount of money.
I think that the U.S is to hard on immigrants. They need to worry about other things, because there is a lot of stuff that is probably way more important than illegal immigrants. If anything illegal immigrants help a lot, especially right now during the recession, since they are buying stuff !
Today on the Tuesday morning news paper I read about how the Mexican military seized 19 tons of marijuana in Tijuana its said that its one of their largest seizures in the region to date the Mexican military Wednesday announced the confiscation of nearly 19 tons of pot from a warehouse in the eastern Tijuana neighborhood of Buenos Aires eight suspects were arrested in the connections with the seizure they were nearly hidden when they posed behind the 2053 packages the suspects ranged from the ages of 27 to 59 and also included 3 women they also seized weapons with lots of ammunition cash and five cars with California license plates the commander said that this year they have already seized 70 tons of marijuana this year.
Monday
In today's paper I read an article about violence slowing down. In Tijuana there are many Drug Cartel and Gang related murders . Many drug leaders convene and it ends up turning into a bloodbath. The police and the US has tried to negate the problem but crime still seems to happen. Mexican soldiers confiscated an enormous amount of weapons fro some criminals. There were 153 drug related homicides in the city in 2009. My philosophy of the drug cartel is money over everybody because that what they do put money over everybody. They don’t care who get hurt in the middle of there business. I think they should go to war with them.
Today I read that a 5-year-old girl was found wandering near a busy Washington County highway.
Passer-by Jim Davis said the girl was scared and asking for help when he found her by a Dumpster along Route 519 in Eighty Four.
Davis the witness that found her by the dumpster he went over to her and tried to calm her down. He said, 'What's wrong?' She said, 'They left me home alone. My baby sitter is gone and my mother is at the doctor in Uniontown, "She started shivering”
Witnesses said the babysitter was nowhere to be found while they waited for the girl's mother to arrive.
wednesday
This morning I read a story about a British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. He claims in a new documentary that intelligent alien life-forms almost certainly exist. He also claims that communicating with them could be too risky. He compares extraterrestrials visiting to Earth would be like Christopher Columbus arriving to the Americas, “which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.” He theorizes that most extraterrestrial life will be similar to microbes, or small animals but says advanced life forms may be “nomads, looking to conquer and colonize.” I think that NATO or someone should NEGATE the arrival of aliens to protect us from being taken over. They should CONVENE and think of ways to find aliens and stop them from coming. But who really knows if this guy is right. I think British people are crazy anyways.
Wednesday- Today I read an article about crime on the trolley decreasing. The article stated that in one particular trolley stop there has been a lot of crimes. At the Grossmont transit center there have been about twelve reported crimes in twelve months. The crimes range from robberies to theft. The reason that the crimes have decreased is because there has been a transit officer at that trolley stop everyday. There are about 4800 riders that pass through that transit stop and yet still there are those who are not good people. The crimes haven’t although been on the same trolley stop. There have been numerous trolley stops ranging from Downtown to Gillispie field.
This was a good article but the trolley is not a good place to be if you’re a druggie. The reason I say that is because the transit officers patrol the trolley all the time. The trolley really has become more and more strict.
I learned that the transit center is a perfect location for crime.
Tuesday
In today's paper I read an article about crackdowns on the trolley. When normal San Diego residents convene on public transportation with valuables thefts occur. Officials say theft, and robbery are the most common incidents. There are also things such as Drug Abuse and Violence happening on them too. Transit cops and undercover try to negate this problem. They claim that the number has gone down since last year. So they must be doing something right. I think that they have been doing a better job at keep the public transportation safe. Also its good because out of all the theft and robberies. There have been no rapes or homicides.
Wednesday-
Today I read about an article that discussed this years ArtWalk 2010. Pretty much what the ArtWalk is a giant outdoor art show. The event will be taken place in the streets of little Italy. Every year thousands of tourists are attracted to art that is displayed at event. An estimated 120,000 people are expected to attend the show. There is also going to be 37 live acts at the show featuring over 340 artists. Also I read this crazy article talking about cartel running it in TJ. Mexican soldiers confiscated a dozen guns and ammunition plus they made 3 arrests of gang leaders.
Wednesday- Today I read about In public, Sandra Bullock has been through the best and worst of times this year -- from winning her first Oscar to enduring the breakup of her marriage. In private, she was quietly keeping a joyful secret -- his name is Louis, and he is her newborn son. He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way," Bullock reveals exclusively in the new issue of PEOPLE, announcing that she is the proud mother of Louis Bardo Bullock, a 3½-month-old boy, born in New Orleans. It's like he's always been a part of our lives. Bullock, 45, and husband Jesse James, 41, began the adoption process four years ago and brought Louis home in January but decided to keep the news to themselves until after the Oscars. Their close friends and family -- including James's children Sunny, 6, Jesse Jr., 12, and Chandler, 15 -- were essential in keeping the adoption a secret.
Wednesday-
In today’s news, there has been an investigation on why there are less people riding trolleys in the past year. Authorities have found out the main reason was that many have reported that they have been robbed. 22 locations now have multiple stations. 8 More cameras are to be installed later this year.
On the Wednesday morning news paper I read about haw a man was stabbed while trying to stop some one from vandalizing the 48 year old man was drinking at a park with another man the other man said to be 21 they were both intoxicated police said that they both started walking together around 7:45 down ocean view boulevard when the younger man started braking windows left and right and the older man tried to stop him but did not succeed the other man got mat so he stabbed him with a screw driver the younger man did not succeed to get away now his being charged with assault with a deadly weapon and the man who is injured is expected to live after the deadly stabbing.
Thursday- Today I read about 28 children were injured when a man with a knife attacked a kindergarten in east China on Thursday morning, state media said. Most of the victims were 4-year-olds, the state-run Xinhua news agency said. Three of the children were in critical condition. Police said they have arrested a 47-year-old suspect. The incident happened in Taxiing city in Jiangsu province. It comes a day after a man attacked 18 students and a teacher with a knife at a primary school in southern China's Guangdong province, Xinhua said. It was not immediately known how many people were injured or whether there were any fatalities Wednesday. The man, described as being in his 40s, entered Leicheng First Primary School Wednesday afternoon and committed the attack before he was seized by police. I think that this guy is crazy and should get life in prison with no chances of parole. Z if he doesn’t get life with no parole then he should get the death penalty.
Today I read that when firefighters arrived at the single-story building on Delaware Street , three of the children were trapped inside. Neighbors were knocking down doors and using hoses to fight the fire,
Three children died at the scene, fire officials said, and a fourth child died at North Bay Medical Center.
Two women suffered moderate injuries including minor smoke inhalation. One woman had burns to her hands.
Fire officials didn't know the relationship between the women and children.
A neighbor who called 911 said she heard screaming and saw smoke. Fire officials described the scene as chaotic and emotional.
The three other apartments were evacuated but didn't suffer serious damage.
Fire investigators were at the building late Wednesday trying to figure out where the fire started and what caused it.
thursday
This morning I read a story about Poland’s former prime minister. On Monday he declared his candidacy for president in a special election to replace his twin brother who was killed in a plane crash this month. He said he would carry on his brothers work and stand in his place for the conservative Law and Justice Party in the June 20th election. I think that it is somewhat disrespectful of the twin to want to run to replace his brother. I think some officials should CONVENE in order to decide if it is right.
Thursday- Today I read about a mentally ill man. The situation was the man was shot by a police officer. The article stated that man suffered from paranoia schizophrenia and told police they would have to kill him. The man was said to have grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened police. The family was outraged because he was mentally ill. They also said that he would get enraged after hearing voices in his head. This happened on Monday in a North Park residence. The police are looking in on how to react after this situation.
This was a sad article because a mentally ill person was shot. The main thing was that it was by a police officer. The family said they were trying to get him committed a few times but failed to do so that is why he died.
I learned that mentally ill people really do deserve to be in mental homes for this same exact reason.
thursday !
This morning I read about the Immigration law that is going to take effect in late July or August. The people are becoming more and more enraged. Opponents used refried beans to smear swastikas on the State Capitol. Civil Rights leaders demanded a boycott of the state, and the Obama administration weighed a possible legal challenge. Activist are also planning a legal challenge to try and stoop the law from taking effect. The law describes that if you look or sound foreign you will have to confirm your identity on the spot. Mexican President Felipe Calderon said that the law discriminates and warned trade and political ties with Arizona will be seriously strained.
Ok, so first of all I think this law is very discriminative. I really hope it does not pass. I really am starting to hate Barrack Obama, he is fake and making matters worse. I hate him because he is trying to make a legal challenge. I just think that this is very sad how Mexicans can not come into the U.S when their ancestors lived here first.
Thursday
In today’s paper I read an article about a gang member arrested in robbery of elderly woman. The police arrested a 16 year old boy in connection with the assault and robbery of a 78 year old women. Many police officers convened to the scene when somebody reported a woman being mugged. The teen allegedly ripped her gold chain off her neck and threw her down. A man in a jeep stopped to help her, if he would of never came who knows what would have happened. As San Diego tries to negate the robbery problem, young teens our out making it worse. I don’t think that things will get worse as long as were in poverty. The need for thing and lack of jobs make teens go out and take it.
Thursday-
Today I read this article called hidden danger that talked about strong rip currents that could be a hazard for beach goers. The reason is because a succession of storms in spring has increased the risk of rip currents. San Diego currently has the most rip current related rescues with 3,469, Encinitas with 1,467, Del Mar 800, Solana Beach with 150. The total of all the rescues at all the beaches combined is 7,771 people. That’s 4,666 in San Diego all together, 2,034 at Encinitas, 890 at Del Mar, and 181 at Solana Beach.
Thursday-
In today’s news, a van carrying 25 apparent border crossers was stopped on westbound Interstate 8 early Monday by U.S. Border Patrol agents. The driver was hospitalized due to shocks from a Taser. The driver CONVENED to pull over when agents tried to stop him and the driver ran before the van stopped. They were able to NEGATE and stop the van and run after and catch the driver. He was taking into a hospital for treatment of his injuries and is likely to face alien smuggling charges. The occupants of the van were to be later deported if agents determine they are in the country illegally.
This morning I read about a teen gang member that got arrested in robbery of 78-year old woman . On mid-day on Sunday morning around 9:30 am by the buss stop a 3rd age woman , Maria Socorro Garcia was assaulted and robbed on a Sunday . While on her way to the buss stop to get to church she was attacked by 3 young boys . Police arrested a 16 year old boy in connection with the assault and robbery . He who is not being identified because of his age admitted of pushing Maria Socorro Garcia . The other two teens are still on the lose and haven’t been found . She states “ I’m traumatized ” as she toke her medication . As a member of the community , it makes you think what’s going on , on these teens heads ? Don’t they have any respect to older people ? What would they do if that happened to there mom or grandmother ? This needs to stop ! Teens need to think twice . Kids reflect from what they see at home but that dosn’t mean that they can be changed .
Friday- Today I read about An American priest has been stabbed to death in Venezuela. Esteban Woods, a 68-year-old priest from Vancouver, Washington, was found dead Thursday in his house with several apparent stab wounds, according to the statement from Venezuela's Public Ministry. Woods served as a parish priest in two parishes and as a chaplain at a teacher's college in Caracas, the statement said, according to preliminary information. I think that whoever did this to the priest is crazy. But the question in my head make me go crazy wondering why? What was this guy’s motive? Is this priest one of the priest that molested kids? Or did something really bad but doesn’t face consequences because he is a priest? I mean he had to do something for him to die in a brutal death like that. That’s my opinion.
friday
In today's news I read about two attempted burglaries of businesses with automated teller machines were reported early Tuesday with in minutes and miles of each other. The first attempt was report in La Mesa at the Chevron Station at Jackson and Center drives just after 4 a.m. Thieves forced their way into the stations carwash with a prying tool. The gas station was closed but the cops were already alerted by the alarm that when off on those retards. Surveillance videos showed that there were four men dressed in black and wearing gloves. They drove off in a white Ford cargo type vehicle. The ATM was the target for the thief's. and the second attempt was reported about 4:35 a.m. at the California Coast Credit Union about three miles away at Jackson Drive and Navajo Road. Officers responded to the alarm and when they got there they saw that the door of an ATM kiosk had been tampered with but the machine wasn’t taken.

On the Friday morning newspaper I read about how a women robs a wells Fargo bank while wearing a surgical mask it was said that she had her mask over her mouth the bank she robbed was near Mira mesa the witness recalls her being in her 40s but between 18 to 20 she was originally wearing all white while the robbery she said she had a gun but non was seen. i also read about a man walking dog was hit by commuter train the man walking the dog was hit by the coaster going north bound the man was walking a black Labrador the man was clipped and was not hit head on his dog sat aside him while getting first aid.
Friday- Today I read about a boy shooting his father in the arm. After being shot he yelled for help and for someone to call 911. The sister ran towards the phone and the boy shot and killed his sister. The shooting happen at 3:00 p.m. The shooting was not an accident. But the boy said he did not do the shooting. So he walked away free and case was closed. He killed his family over an arguement.

The shooting happen at 3:00 p.m. The shooting was not an accident. But the boy said he did not do the shooting. So he walked away free and case was closed.
I feel like no one should get away form murdur. It makes it worst because the people he shot were his family. I honestly dont know how can he live knowing he shot his father and killed his sister over an arguement.
Friday- Today I read about eight arrests that took place. The arrests were because the ones arrested were accused of over two hundred car burglaries. There were about two girls and six guys in handcuffs. Most of them were parolees and are now most likely to be in prison for a long time. The items stolen ranged from purses to phones. The police found them in one of the suspects home. They also stated that the suspects were all friends of those who were the victims. The police said they had received a tip of who might be the burglars and it worked.
The article was good because it talked about a lot of thieves behind bars. The police did a good job tracking down all of them. I think that all of these burglars should pay restitution.
I learned that there are a lot of burglars in Chula Vista.
