monday-The article I read this morning was about the killing of two teenagers ages 17 and 15. The shooting happened at around 12:55 am. The two teenagers were with a group of friends walking after a party. An 18 year old was arrested in connection with the shooting. The 18 year old boy was identified as Derelle Oliver. Oliver was with another suspect by the name of James Tyler who is 19. they were suspected of pointing guns from cars passing the party. At first Oliver was not linked to the slayings but after investigations he was arrested.
I think that Oliver does have something to do with the slayings. I hope that the other guy Tyler also gets investigated because it isn’t fair killing two innocent people just to seem cool. I hope that the family is okay and that they will soon find the killers if it wasn’t these two teenagers.
An interesting fact that I read was that the 17 year killed who was a girl died at the scene and the 15 year old who was a boy died shortly at the hospital.
Monday- Today I read about a two year old getting mauled by a dog. The dog was the family’s pet it was a German Shepard the dog’s name and other information wasn’t given out. The police received a call around 11:30 and the child was taken to Rady’s Children's hospital but unfortunately the child did not survive. As for the dog the animal control officers took him away. The mother was home at the time and the father is deployed overseas. I feel really bad for the father because he has to find out sooner or later. It’s sad because he’s going to come home to a broken home with investigators looking at the mother for some type of child abuse.
Tuesday- Today I read about Michael Lohan and how he says his daughter Lindsay experienced a "miracle" transformation in prison and has vowed to leave her wild child past behind for good. The Mean Girls actress was released from jail in California on August 2nd after serving just 13 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest. She was immediately spirited away to a rehab center as part of the conditions of her release and Michael Lohan is adamant his troubled daughter has changed during her time behind bars. He tells an Australian radio station, "I thought prison would be a horrible thing but I have to say an absolute miracle took place with regard to Lindsay turning her life around. It was a spiritual awakening for her and I hope it continues in rehab.“ I think if it was a regular person they would be doing the full ninety days.
Tuesday-The article I read this morning was about a lady who gave birth in mid air. The mother was maximum 8 and a half months. The woman was a Ugandan nationalist. She was flying from Amsterdam to Boston, Massachusetts. The plane was flying somewhere over the Atlantic ocean. Luckily there was two doctors on the plane. But one of them was the one who stepped up. The doctor who stepped up and delivered the baby was Dr. Paresh Thakkar who is a very academic person.I think that this lady was very lucky that her labor wasn’t endangered. I hope that the baby is doing great and the mother is happy. Hopefully the doctor that stepped up gets rewarded with some type of document or something for doing a great job.An interesting fact that I read was that the baby wasn’t expected until a couple of weeks more.
TUESDAY-- Food allergies are on the rise. A two-year-old boy had a deadly allergic reaction to pistachio gelato. The boy had only shown a very little reaction to peanuts in the past and the parents didn’t think anything bad of the situation. Not until his face swelled up to the point where he “looked like an alien”. More and more kids are developing food allergies, and scientists are trying their hardest to figure out why this is. Doctors in various parts of the country have also discovered this too. I think parents should be careful with what they feed their children. All kids should have a check on their allergic reactions and a family background checks on who was allergic to what. Parents should have an emergency number for when things like this happen, always have a list for the babysitters of what the children can and cannot eat.
Wednesday-What I read today in the Tribune was about, a former University of South Florida student has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for providing material support to terrorists, including making a videotape showing how to assemble and use a remote-controlled bomb.
Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 26, was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Tampa, Florida. He pleaded guilty to the charge in June. Under a plea agreement, six other charges against him were dropped.
Some of those charges stemmed from an August 2007 traffic stop in suburban Charleston, South Carolina, in which Mohamed and another USF student were arrested.
The other student, Youssef Megahed, still faces a seven-count indictment filed in September 2007. That case is pending.
WEDNESDAY-- There was a possible sexual abuse yesterday. A woman was jugging at Balboa Park and a man was following her. After the woman screamed, two men began their struggle to help her. The Abuser ran while the guys chased him down. They were unable to catch the man though. The guys are upset that they were unable to catch him. There has been a sketch drawn of the suspect. Eyewitnesses say it is extremely accurate. I think that people need to be more careful. If you go somewhere, make sure you have somebody there with you. Attackers are less likely to go after two people. Use self defense and don't just give up. I hope this man gets charged with assault and has jail time. Even though he didn't do the act of the sexual assault, we know that's what he wanted.
Blake-Wednesday- In today’s reading I read an article about a four vehicle accident leaving at least five people dead. At least five people died Tuesday night in a four vehicle crash in northeastern Argentina. The accident involved three trucks and a small passenger van. An eleven year old boy was injured and taken to a pediatric hospital in the city of Sunchales in Santa Fe province. He was identified as Agustin Taboada. A young person who remained unidentified also died. Officials were trying to determine whether that person also was an occupant in the van. One of the trucks in the accident was carrying corn. A Fiat Iveco tanker was loaded with fuel, and the third truck was empty.
Blake-Monday- In today’s reading I read an article about a fire burning. Two spot fires merged into one on the south side of the Rooster Rock Fire growing away from populated areas overnight. The ranks of firefighters have grown to six hundred five people on the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Only five of thirty affected homes remain evacuated south and west of Plainview. The families evacuated Monday evening are being escorted to and from their homes by Sisters-Camp Sherman fire crews. Families that use Forest Road sixteen to reach their homes are being allowed through the roadblock. A pump house storage structure with family possessions was lost in the initial hours of the fire Monday evening. Residents across the High Desert saw a towering smoke plume and a thick layer of smoke drifting eastward on into sunset Tuesday from the fire.
Thursday- Today I read about a La Jolla girls' volleyball coach is facing molestation charges after a 12-year-old girl tells police the coach touched her at a University of San Diego volleyball camp. Police tell us 29-year old Xia Wei Li was one of the girl's coaches. Li has coached for several local volleyball clubs in the area. On Li's Myspace page, his profile picture shows him spiking a volleyball and he writes, "I love anything that has to do with sports, specially soccer and volleyball. I like to take risks and I am not afraid to fail.“ His page also says he's engaged. The molestation allegedly happened on July 21st. The San Bernardino girl told her parents about the sexual assault. The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department passed the complaint on to San Diego Police. I think that the girl was probably over reacting because a coach is hands on teaching. If I’m wrong about this then yea the guy should go to jail.
Friday- Today I read about a woman sentenced to death by stoning and she has been released from a detention center in Istanbul. Drewery Dyke of the London-based rights group says Mohammad Mostafaei is expected to travel to Norway in the coming days. Mostafaei maintained a blog that sparked a worldwide campaign to free his client, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, who was convicted of cheating on her husband. He fled to Turkey after being questioned then released in Tehran. He was detained because of an undisclosed passport problem. The U.N. refugee agency confirmed his release, but would not provide further details. Tehran says it will not carry out the stoning against Ashtiani for the time being, but the mother of two could still face execution by hanging. I think that women in the middle east are not respected and it sucks they are treated like this.
FRIDAY-- The bodies of two women as well as one boy and one girl were found dead in a Maryland home. Both of the children are under the age of six. The victims are said to be from Congo. This makes the police believe this was a planned attack. The police already have a few persons of interest that they have been interviewing. Police described the living area as “horrific”. The place was tiny with trash all over the place. There was no running water, AC, or toilets. Police could not believe they could live in an environment such as this one. The COD is known by the police but they do not want to release that piece of information yet. I think this is ridiculous. These people should not have had to go through something like this. I would be horrified if I was a police officer and had to uncover a murder case. I just hope they are able to find the person(s) responsible for this heinous act.

Monday-Today I read about police that are searching for two of three convicted killers that escaped from an Arizona prison , one of the men that escaped was captured Sunday in Rifle, Colorado .Authorities believe that there was a women involved with helping them escape during a visit in the jail. After the escape the convicts abducted two truck drivers on interstate 40 then they released the men 5 hours later the authorities are still looking for them and hope to capture them soon.

Tuesday-Toady I read about a shooting at a beer distributor business in Manchester which left multiple people dead. Three people were rushed to the hospital but one of them later died. Law enforcement officials have said that the area has been secure, the heart ford new paper reported that at least three people were dead. A tragic scene which caused people to get killed and badly injured .

Today I read about a Tanzania trip that teaches many lessons, a SDSU call finds a perfect place for giving and learning. When a young man visited his old boarding school in Kongwa in 2008, Peter saw that the learning conditions for the 900 Tanzania students were much worse than when 400 hundred British students like him studied there 50 years earlier.

Today I read about seven dogs who died after an American Airlines flight went wrong, flight 851 was a hour late taking off. All the dogs were bound from there locations , when ramp workers began the process of moving the dogs they noticed the animals looked lethargic. The workers tried to cool them down the animals were taken from the airport to a veterinarian but unfortunately the animals did not survive and all seven died.

Toady I read about suicide car bomb targeting a military convoy killed seven Afghan police officers .The strike occurred in Aghantepa, a village in the Aman Sahib district of Kunduz province. Of the seven police killed, six were national police officers and one was a tribal police officerThe attacker used a Toyota Corolla to conduct the strike, which government officials called a brutal act
Monday ; Police are on the look out for the remaining two considered armed and dangerous for they are convicted killers who escaped from an Arizona prison said Monday. The men were both discovered missing after 9:45 pm Friday at the privately operated Kingman facility . The escapees cut a hole in the fence and helicopters and dogs began to search. Police spotted Daniel Renwick , 36 driving a brown Chevy Blazer, gunshots were exchanged and he was taken into custody. The escape was abducted with two truck drivers hijacked their 18 wheeler and were released hours later. Renwick was sent for 22 years for second degree murder and is being held in Colorado and Province , 42 was sent to serving a life sentence for murder and armed robbery .
Tuesday ;Today I was reading about a 12 year old girl from Louisiana who’s been kidnapped . The kidnapper was found and charged with rape. Before they found the kidnapper someone contacted authorities around 1:30 am and told police she was at a store looking for a ride home. Two witnesses told police they had seen her get into an Oldsmobile Cutlass , and licenses plate number was given and the car was being tracked down . But the girl then was found and returned to her family. When the girl was around home her mom told police that she been kind of up and down the mother asked what happened to her child . Two men were then arrested one of the men Brandon Player ,19 and was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile . Lee was arrested Monday for kidnapping charge but Wednesday the charge was revised to aggravate rape . Many questions remain in the case , but for now the girl Is safe and is now back home.
Wednesday ;Today I was reading about internet users who are now spending more time on Face book , less on email . Sunday it showed that Americans now spend more time playing games than handling email on Face Book other than communicating on services like Yahoo Mail , or Google Mail . As said American Internet users are spending more than six hours to 14 hours per month on social networking sites . But now days people all over the world are playing online games constantly and Face Book is the most site people are handling on . Playing games and communicating like crazy on Face Book . Face Book is the new site !
Thursday ;Today I read about a two year old who was found dead Wednesday , he went missing from his home in Dewey. He was found about one mile from his home lying in a muddy pit .Where his body was found and was on the former Iron King Mine site that had got treated as a crime scene. But because Emmett was the second 2 year old boy to go missing from Yavapai County in 10 days. As for another 2 year old who went missing July 25 from a camping site in Rim rock and was found dead , Tuesday. His mother called in that he was missing around 8 pm . The mother and her four other children immediately look around the house and had a dog search for him as well. Newnum credited the muddy terrain in the area to help find the boy , Emmett .
Friday ;Today I was reading about a father in Miami , Florida who has admitted the beating of his son. The father Lee Willie Dejesus , 23 told police he was watching the child while his mom was at work Monday night. He also told police that his son was beaten by a babysitter . But then he admitted the beating of his 2 year old son and told police that struck his son 15 times in the face , head , torso and shoulders for more than 15 minutes until his son fell off the bed and strucked his head to the tile floor. Lee didn’t call the emergency until his sons lips became blue , and his son was then taken to Children's Hospital and went in surgery for bleeding in the brain. So , as for the father he has been charged in near- fatal beating of his 2 year old son which he had said all he was trying to do was teach him how to box but ended up putting him in great harm and could now be upgraded to murder.
