In today’s news, a new invested study shows that there may be 100,000 fewer Hispanics in Arizona than there were before the debate. The debate was in regards to toughen up the new immigration law this year. Today I read about Mr. George Neotii, The warden at Donovan State Prison. He wants to make the world a better place, as he helps the imamates try n become better in life. Mr. Neotii says that the biggest threat in the prison would have to be cell phones. Reason being is because outside contact with an inmate without supervision can lead to something BIG. The officers of the facility do regular day to day searches in the housing units finding from weapons made from scratch and cell phones hidden in small particular places. Heroin, Meth, and Cocaine are the common drugs in the facility. The biggest challenge for drugs is keeping it from entering the prison. The average is about 2 incidents a day, weather its assault on a staff to battery on an inmate with a weapon to two on one fighting. Mr. Neotii also says that you have to be strong hearted when u have a job like this because when it come to 4,400 inmates threaten your life day to day it will tear you apart!
Today I read about a man who was arrested for a face book rant against Islam. He was a mysterious blogger who set off a major uproar clamming he was a god. He was tracked down trough face book. He was 26 years old, his father was a Muslim scholar, no one knew he was leading a double life. He was investing his free time posting rants on the internet. Everyone in the Qalqiliya region in Muslim suggest that he get put to death burned by fire in public. Even family members say he should be put behind bars for renouncing Islam. He is also suspected for creating three Face book groups in witch he sarcastically declared himself as god advising his followers some negative things, like smoking marijuana. Even though a survey was done for marijuana its still illegal to states suck statements on the internet.
Today I also read about a couple’s death raise suspicion in Carlsberg. They were a married couple 50 years old Michael and 47 Rochelle Medford. They were found by their older adult kids in their apartment floor at 9:55 a.m. Officer Cain said Michael was on parole for grand theft conviction. There is no sign of struggle, overdose, or suicide or homicide notes. Cain beliefs that this isn't a “natural death”, something else is behind this scenario. One of their son states that his father was a construction worker and they really worked hard to raise them the best way they could.

Today I read about the Barrio Logan house Winter Shelter. It took six meetings for the San Diego city council to decide a vacant building in Barrio Logan for the homeless shelter this winter. Police and the people staffing the shelter had promised the safety of the surrounding community. They came to this conclusion before but was shut down because of an elementary school that was in the area. President Ben Hueso, represents the district on were this shelter is located. The only reason what made the council change there mind was of the promise that the SDPD made to them about the safety of the public.

Tuesday-Today I read about the number of Americans fighting off hunger , through food insecurity rates which remain the highest they been since the federal government began keeping track 15 years ago .About 14.7 % of U.S. households were “food insecure” in 2009, meaning they had difficulty feeding one or more of their members at some point last year due to a lack of financial resources, that equates to 17.4% million households total, or roughly 45 million people. This years rate market a slight increase in percentage from 2008.

Today I read about how veterans day was celebrated not only in San Diego but also all over the country. Veterans day in downtown was a special day a parade was held where many veterans and kids went to celibate a day with no school or work. I believe that these veterans should be honored because at one point they did fight for our country and they did the best with the little artillery. Veterans day should not only be for the veterans but also for the active solders fighting in the war that are trying to keep us away from danger and harm.

Today I read about a passageway tunnel the was found in Otay Mesa on 9900 block of Via de la Amistad. Last Tuesday a husband and wife were driving a tractor trailer found with more than 10 tons of marijuana. They were discovered at the interstate 15 checkpoint. About 30 tons of marijuana were put together at the end of all this, in the region streets of San Diego that’s about 20 million dollars! This was being also being trafficked trough this 1,800-foot tunnel, that was equipped with light, ventilation, and a crude rail system. At each end was a 23,00 square-foot ware house in San Diego and the other end was a two story concrete in Tijuana. This was the 75th tunnel discovers in the U.S in the past four years. They believe it has to do with cartels but they just don’t know witch one. In Tijuana Mexican soldiers surrounded the concrete building and found 4 tons of MJ. The house had a sign with the name of Medint Enterprises, though no suck record of that business was found. ICE, DEA, U.S Border Patrol, and the California bureau of Narcotics Enforcement all invested time with this surprising incident. I think at the end of it all that survey we did to make marijuana legal didn’t work, and if it would have we wouldn’t have this be an issue.

Today I read an article called Tunnel,30 Tons Of Pot Turn Up. They found a tunnel under ground connecting from Tijuana to a San Diego storage. The tunnel stretches out 1800 miles far. This tunnel was used for smuggling drugs they found 30 tons of marihuana estimating about 20 million American dollars. Along with this discovery they found a tractor truck full of ten tons of marihuana at a checkpoint in Temecula. The tunnel had lighting ventilation and a crude rail system. This was not being blamed in the mom and dad caught driving the tractor but in drug cartels.

Today I read about a murder case that was invested and solved for 12 years; from 1995 to 2008. The murdered was Michael Williams he was recently serving 40 years in Mississippi for child molestation but the evidence of the DNA samples matched to Williams from all over the region. Also, the fingerprints wrapped around around the Mountain Dew bottle he dropped match Williams, later he plead guilty and is now to serve his 40 years in Mississippi; nevertheless he got sentenced to life with no chance of parole that is what the survey said. I think that this is something good because this guy was out there in the loose and he knew that he was in the murder case because there was so much evidence that he couldn’t get away from the charges. And I’m glad he got life so he wont be able to roam the streets and do these kind of mischief things.

Today I read about the shootings in Mexico and how they are affecting their economy. The shootings happened because the recent 34 pounds of marijuana that was seized couple weeks ago. Many people were getting killed kidnapped and tortured. I think that this is something that is not ever going to stop in Mexico. Another thing is that these are lives that are innocent and don’t do nothing that will get them in trouble why would they just kill them. Nevertheless, we live in a sinful world.

In today’s news, Detective Steve Reed climbed into a Sheriff’s Department helicopter 21 years ago. He set out on a mission, on a mission to fly hundreds of feet over the county’s mountain region and canyons and spot one thing with in the green vegetation ‘’Marijuana’’. He had invested his time in finding hidden plantation crops and in 1989 reed had located about 300 pot plants in the rural North County community of Rainbow. Survey show’s that the program was seizing about 5,000 plants a year at the time. So far this year the program has seized about 370,000 marijuana plant’s worth more than $1 billion. Reed, 59, has no intention of quitting the task force or retiriring anytime soon.

Today I read about teenage prostitution and how more girls are dropping out of school due to sexual trafficking. Educators and law enforcement agencies have started teaming up to learn more about girls who are exposed to prostitution at such a young age. There is a big number of girls who are being recruited into prostitution due to violent treats. East county’s Grossmont Union High School District, Monte vista, Mount Miguel, witch are both in spring valley region have a more cases involving this. December 6, a meeting will be held here in SBTA regarding all this concerns. Most people are thinking that it is going to be a very awkward meeting because no one wants to really talk about this, well at least not the girls involved with this. Its also believed to be a very tough subject to bring up or even talk about. Soon staff in schools will be searching closer for burses or any other sign. This caught my attention because I have a really close friend that was a prostitute, and she was very smart and I just wish they could had helped her earlier. I think It’s healthy that they are investing more time on this subject and it would be very interesting to do a survey on this.

Monday- Today I read about imamates in prison that they are a problem. The prison building is ment to hold 2,200, but its holding twice as that right now. They say that 40% of the inmates have mental health. Being with mental health people would suck, and it suck for everyone in there. A smuggled cell phone can be sold in prison for $500. The ones who are smuggling cell phones and other stuff like that are the officers. The fights happen at the yard when there's like 200 to 300 inmates most people die in there because they own money. Officers say that they feel bad because inmates don’t get help in the arena because officers now that someday they will get out someday without nothing, they will end up there prison again.
Wednesday Today I read about Chargers grades range from A to F-. This article is about the San Diego Chargers winning their games in the season this year. Their record this year is 4-5. Their quarterback Philip Rivers had the best season, better than all the other quarterbacks. But there is one person going through it in this season. It’s number 22 Jacob Hester. He is one of the running backs for the Chargers. He let Leon Washington, a player that plays for the Seattle Seahawks, run it all the way back to their touchdown so Jacob hides his shame around everybody the crowd, his team mates, and his family.
Wednesday- Today I read about Obama trip shows limits on global stage. President Barack Obama went to Asia on to emerging nations that could help shape the American economy for years. President returned on Sunday with his results to show his foreign trip. It was to a take a trip for 10 days through India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan. His first two stops will be in Asian democracies that will only become more important strategically to the U.S. Then Obama got to Seoul, South Korea to meet with the group called 20 and emerging economies. Obama failed to achieve a fee-trade deal with Korea. Obama’s last trip was in Yokohama, and Japan. This is something Obama had promise he was going to do.
Today I read about a detective that has an eagle eye for spotting Marijuana. Detective Steve Reed fly’s around San Diego, hundreds of feet above the county’s mountains and canyons surveying for marijuana plants. “And the very first day I flew, I found weed,” Reed said. “And I said, ‘this is cool.’” That day he found about 300 pot plants in the North County region of San Diego. So far this year, the program has seized about 370,000 marijuana plants worth more than $1 billon dollars. Drug dealers invest in these plants so people like Reed need to watch out for their lives because drug dealers don’t like to have people messing with their money. Even though Reed says that he has no intention of quitting.
Today I read about a murder investigation that has just been solved years later. On July 1995 police found a naked body in San Marcos. Police arrest a man a month later but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. This case had been unsolved for twelve years until a man named Scully and Ahrens teamed up and soled the case. The was a mountain Dew bottle laying next to the body that had finger prints of a man named Michel Williams. San Marcos arrest him as soon as they found him and is now awaiting trial.
Today’s morning blog I read about the San Diego Chargers. Newspaper is saying that Phillip Rivers has had a great season, as his league leading passing yardage and touchdown tosses show. A lot of people are doing survey about the San Diego Chargers because they were doing a bad job back then and now they come up winning a lot of teams. In our region mostly a lot of people go for the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are doing an invest to get as much money for themselves and their business.

Thursday- Today I read about San Diego keeps piling up successes with recycling. Rate exceeds statewide level meaning city say it will start accepting more varieties of plastic items. San Diego has reached to new high-water mark for recycling. In 2009, 66 percent was waste stream numbers were given out on Monday by the city. From 2005 to 2009 14 percentage points went up that keeps San Diego ahead of the statewide waste diversion rate of 65%. The city says that the number are expected to keep on rising because they will start accepting plastic items, including dairy tubs, plant pots and detergent bottles. I wonder what will happen after they did this decision.

Today I read some special news about the East County of San Diego. Free thanksgiving meal to those in need of a turkey and the rest to have a quick meal. Moreover, this is happening not only in El Cajon but as well as all over San Diego. The county says “if anyone wants to help out and help the poor please do.” I believe that this is another step for our county because it makes us look better. And it’s not that it will make us look better but the fact that we all care about each other and look out for each other makes our county a better place to be at for us and tourist.

Thursday-Today I read about a village in Pakistan Punjab province, a tearful 12 year old girl ponders if the Pakistani government will soon hang her mom. This month a Pakistan court sentenced Ishmas mother a 45 year old. He is also being charged with transportation of a stolen aircraft for allegedly stealing a .32 caliber pistol in Canada and carrying it into Idaho. Today I read an article called Cops target smugglers as illegal migration slows. Arizona is said to be the number one place to smuggle people in and drug traffickers to pass drugs. Last year they made 241,000 arrest up in the dessert. Officers prefer to worry more about the drug smugglers then the illegal's and they free the illegal's .They're trying harder to invest in the ICE team in catching immigrants because it is increasing .Americans have increased the border patrols in the last 2 years to guard the Arizona desert region .they're working better to track people down traffickers as well as smugglers.
