Monday- Today I read about a male that was found dead in a fraternity house this weekend. He goes to University of Arizona. There was no indication of foul play or a threat to the community. Police and fire department officers responded to a call for medical assistance on Saturday morning. They found the man at the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house. Tucson fire officials declared him dead. Alvarez did not identify the student and said no other information was available at this time.
Mondays blog- today I read about Two sisters released from a Mississippi prison with the stipulation that one donates a kidney to the other said Saturday they will continue fighting for a full pardon. Gladys Scott told CNN that Gov. Haley Barbour, who ordered the release of the women in January, wants her and sister Jamie to first admit guilt in an 1993 armed robbery that may have netted as little as $11."I would not admit that I am guilty. I am innocent," Gladys Scott said. "Me and my sister have proclaimed our innocence since day one. And we are going to keep on."The sisters both served 16 years of their life imprisonment sentence before being released in January due to Jamie Scott's severe kidney failure. Barbour, upon suspending the armed robbery sentences, said the transplant surgery "should be scheduled with urgency.“According to CNN Jackson affiliate WAPT, the attorney for the Scott sisters sponsored a rally Friday morning outside the governor's mansion and state capitol seeking support for a full pardon.

Today I read about two American NATO-led troops were killed by an Afghan Border Police officer Monday. The victims were teaching a group of border policemen in a meeting room in Faryab in northern Afghanistan. The gunman escaped on foot, running toward the desert. NATO's International Security Assistance Force said earlier two NATO troops had been killed after an individual wearing an Afghan police uniform opened fire. The NATO-led force did not identify the nationality of the dead. The United States did not immediately confirm that the victims were American. The Pentagon usually does not name casualties until 24 hours after next of kin have been told of their deaths. Afghan troops and the International Security Assistance Force were investigating the shooting. In November, a gunman in an Afghan Border Police uniform shot and killed six U.S. troops during a training mission in eastern Afghanistan. The suspect was killed in that incident. I think that this is pretty sad to hear and that these people should be punished.
In today’s morning blog I read about a lady getting raped by forces loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, told CNN on Monday that she is no longer in government custody. Recently in Saturday her dad did not know were she was at. She has not been seen publicly since she burst into a Tripoli hotel on March 26 as international journalists were having breakfast, showing them bruises and claiming she had been held for two days during which she was raped by 15 men.
Today ive learned from the reading that Two American NATO-led troops were killed by an Afghan Border Police officer Monday The victims were teaching a group of border policemen in a meeting room in Faryab in northern Afghanistan
Monday- Today I read about how southwest airlines are cancelling a lot of flights because they found some sort of cracks in the airplane that are dangerous. The Texas-based airline grounded 79 planes for inspection after a hole opened on top of a Boeing 737 mid-flight Friday. It canceled approximately 600 flights to accommodate the inspections: 300 on Saturday and 300 flights on Sunday. They are planning to cancel one hundred more flights so investigators can do further inspection on the airplanes.
Tuesday- Today I read about more attempt by Japanese officials to stop the leaking of highly radioactive water from a nuclear reactor into the ocean failed, with the detection of radiation in a fish and news that water gushing from the nuclear plant into the Pacific had radiation levels more than millions of times above the regulatory limit.
Tuesday - Today I read about Southwest Airlines. They are expected to cancel about 100 flights from its Monday schedule as investigators continue inspecting its fleet. The Texas-based airline grounded 79 planes for inspection after a hole opened on top of a Boeing 737 mid-flight Friday. It canceled approximately 600 flights to accommodate the inspections: 300 on Saturday and 300 flights on Sunday. So far, investigators have found indications of cracks in three other aircraft. Of the planes inspected, 19 had returned to service by Sunday afternoon. The airline advised customers to check the status of their particular flight or rebook their trip before heading to the airport. Inspections of the aircraft are expected to be completed by late Tuesday.
Monday-
Today I learned about The National Fisheries Association of Thailand, which works closely with the government on fishing-related issues, says it has not received reports of abuse or torture of crew in the past couple of years on Thai boats. The chairman of the group says most crews are there of their free will. But he acknowledged some recruiters may have made false promises about pay and working conditions to some Burmese or Cambodian workers.
Tuesday-
Tokyo Electric Power Company, which runs the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, said the injection of a silica-based polymer dubbed "liquid glass" had reduced the amount of highly radioactive water that was leaking into the ocean. Also Readings from samples taken Saturday in the concrete pit outside the turbine building of the number 2 reactor one of six at the crisis plagued plant had radiation 7.5 million times the legal limits, a TEPCO official said. Newer findings, from Tuesday afternoon, showed a sizable drop to 5 million times the norm.
In today’s morning blog I read about a storm that pummeled much of the South on Monday night. The storm left eight people dead in three states. The Local authorities reported one death in Mississippi, six in Georgia and one in Tennessee. This storm was real dangerous to kill eight people like that in three different states.

Gina Manley , 50 , played guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the Nov. 9 , 2009 slaying of Ralph Grice ,56. As for the man on the look out he was described as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 170 to 180 pounds.
Wednesday- Today I read about a U.S. Border Patrol agent that was arrested Tuesday on narcotics smuggling charges. The agent, who was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration, was being held in the Yuma, Arizona, County jail. The agent, who has three years' experience with the border patrol, was arrested after two other Border Patrol agents on Monday were patrolling along the U.S.-Mexico border and saw the suspect agent with "numerous bundles of marijuana inside a marked Border Patrol truck,". The agents reported the incident to a supervisor. The suspect agent, along with the marijuana, was placed in the custody of the DEA. They would not give out the border patrol agents name though.

Tuesday- today I read about The family of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow, critically hurt in an unprovoked attack at last week's season opener at Los Angeles' Dodgers Stadium, expressed gratitude Tuesday for the outpouring of support and sympathy they received from baseball fans around the country. Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center neurosurgeon Dr. Gabriel Zada told reporters, "It's going to be a long recovery process" for the brain-injured patient, who remains in critical condition. John Stow, the man's first cousin, said, "Our family and friends would like to thank everyone around the nation for their support and prayers for Bryan." Dressed in a Giants jersey and cap, he also thanked police and hospital staff. Stow shows evidence of "brain injury and dysfunction," Zada said. "It's going to be a long recovery process, and right now we're trying to make sure he's stable and he's out of critical condition.
Wednesday- today I read about Alexander Alfaro was convicted Tuesday on 16 of 17 charges related to the 2007 execution-style killings of three college friends. Alfaro, 20, was convicted of murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy and weapons charges, according to acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray. Alfaro was found not guilty of attempted murder of Natasha Aeriel, the sole survivor of the attack. He is the third person convicted in the killing of Terrance Aeriel, 18; Dashon Harvey, 20; and Lofemi Hightower, 20, by shooting them in the head after forcing them to kneel against a wall on the grounds of an elementary school in Newark, New Jersey. Carter said Godinez was involved in gang recruiting and characterized himself as the ringleader who used a handgun and a machete in the slayings. He was sentenced in May 2010 and is serving 216 years in prison
Tuesday-
Today I read about the remains of three women found on a remote stretch of beach in Long Island, New York, do not include those of Shannan Gilbert, whose search led to the investigation of a possible serial killer. Gilbert, 24, of Jersey City, New Jersey, has been missing since May and was last seen alive in the Gilgo Beach area. As authorities searched for clues concerning her disappearance last year, they uncovered a total of eight corpses found in various stages of decomposition. A woman's body was found March 29 off Ocean Parkway, west of Cedar Beach. When medical examination determined they were not Gilbert's remains, the police continued to search. On Monday, they found the remains of three additional people. They have also since been determined not to be those of Gilbert. The first four bodies were discovered stuffed into bushes on a quarter-mile stretch of waterfront property on Oak Beach, indicating "they were dumped there by the same person or persons," said Richard Dormer, Suffolk County Police commissioner, in December. "It's too coincidental that there were four bodies in the same location.“ The remains of the fifth body were found about a mile from where the other corpses were discovered, he said, refusing to disclose exactly where the three additional remains were found on Monday. I think that this serial killer has done so much damage not only to the state but to those that had family’s. Than again you never know that they could have messed up with the killer and owed him money or something and the victims didn’t pay so they got killed.
Wednesday- Today I read about 150 people were missing Wednesday after a boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea, The boat was carrying about 200 passengers when it sank about 39 miles (62 kilometers) west off the island of Lampedusa in Maltese waters. Darkness and poor weather hampered the search when the first rescue boats arrived, rescue vessels have rescued 48 people.

Today I read about Alexander Alfaro who was convicted on Tuesday for 16 to 17 charges of the 2007 execution killing styles of three college friends. Alfaro who is 20 was charged with murder, murder felony, robbery, conspiracy and weapons charges. He is also the third person who was convicted for the murders of Terrance Aeriel, 18; Dashon Harvey, 20; and Lofemi Hightower, 20 where forced to kneel in the back of a New Jersey elementary school and shot in the head. Three of the other men were already sentenced to life in prison. Melvin Jovel one of the prosecutors was sentenced to 245 years in prison, he go three life sentences and 20 years for attempted murder. Rodolfo Godinez is on trial and is being accused of 17 counts. I think that these guys are nuts and that they better have a good reason for killing them and not something of hater or whatever's.
Today I learned about how the U.S. is dealing with radiation Despite a low-level of concern, Frieden said, agencies such as the CDC, the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Agriculture were all actively monitoring the air, the food and the water supplies in the U.S. for any evidence of contamination. Also Potassium iodide pills (also known as KI pills) can be helpful for people in the immediate vicinity of a nuclear accident, by preventing the thyroid gland from taking in radioactive iodine. However, KI pills only protect the thyroid and are not recommended for wider consumption, Frieden said, due to the inherent health risks associated with taking the pills, such as allergic reactions, stomach upset, inflammation of the salivary glands and certain thyroid conditions
In today’s news, a woman who was robbed while walking Wednesday in the Grant Hill area was cut when she struggles with a knife wielding assailant. It was said that the woman was walking on doson street around 4:45 pm when two men approached her and robbed her of cash and a cell phone. One of the men walked behind her and held a knife to her throat. She grabbed the knife and pulled it away sustaining a serious cut to her finger. She was then taken to a hospital and the man fled.
Narcy Novack, who had been charged in the death of her millionaire husband, has now also been charged with conspiring in the death of his 87-year-old mother. Novack, 54, and her brother, Cristobal Veliz, 57, are suspected of organizing the murder of Ben Novack Jr.'s mother, Bernice, in April 2009, according to a federal indictment unsealed Tuesday. Her death was first identified as an accident, but was later characterized as a potential homicide. Prosecutors allege the pair organized "co-conspirators" to attack the elderly woman in her home, the indictment said. The charges add to an earlier charge that claims Narcy Novack was involved in the death of her husband, Ben Novack Jr., in July 2009. Narcy Novack's attorney, Howard Tanner, said he wasn't surprised by the new indictment. "It doesn't change the fact that Narcy Novack had nothing to do with the death of Ben Novack or the death of Bernice Novack," he said. Veliz's attorney could not be immediately reached for comment. Ben Novack Jr. -- heir to the famed Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach, Florida -- was killed in a Hilton hotel in Rye Brook, New York, the indictment said.
Thursday- Today I read about a lady that used to be married to her husband became a widow because her husband was murdered along with his mother which is her mother in law. It turns out that she was the one that murdered both of them and she is being charged for the death of her husband and conspiring in the death of the mother. Her husband was a millionaire, so she probably did that to keep all the money. I think the money got to that lady’s head. Novack, 54, and her brother, Cristobal Veliz, 57, are suspected of organizing the murder of Ben Novack Jr.'s mother, Bernice, in April 2009, according to a federal indictment unsealed Tuesday. The charges add to an earlier charge that claims Narcy Novack was involved in the death of her husband, Ben Novack Jr., in July 2009.

This morning I read about a U.S. Border Patrol agent that was arrested Tuesday on narcotics smuggling charges, but the federal agency declined to release his name. The agent, who was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration, was being held in the Yuma, Arizona, County jail. Rodolfo Karisch, acting chief patrol agent for the Yuma Sector, said he was "proud of the swift and appropriate actions taken by the arresting agents."They knew the right thing to do and did it, as expected. They put honor first and are to be commended. This can not be said of the suspect," he said in a statement.

This morning I read about One person was killed and three others, including a woman in her 90s and a 4-year-old child, were injured Wednesday in a shooting on the campus of Southern Union Community College in Opelika, Alabama. All the victims are members of the same family. Suspect Thomas Franklin May III, 34, was arrested without incident about three hours after the shooting, after he approached a television crew on campus. Officers believe the 36-year-old woman is a student who was being dropped off or picked up, but authorities were still trying to confirm that. All the victims were from Lee County, where Opelika is located.
Thursday-
Today I read about an attorney for Elisa Baker, the stepmother accused of killing 10-year-old Zahra Baker, said Monday he plans to file for a change of venue because of the publicity the North Carolina case has received. Elisa Baker was indicted in February on second-degree murder charges in the girl's death. She previously was charged with obstruction of justice after police said she admitted to planting a fake ransom note. The girl lost part of her left leg at age 5 and lost hearing in both ears while being treated for cancer.
Friday-today I read about A Philadelphia man was sentenced Thursday to 24 months in prison for threatening to kill the No. 2 Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives, prosecutors said. After his prison term, Norman LeBoon will have three years of supervised release, which will include home detention, no internet access, mental health treatment and drug testing. LeBoon, 38, pleaded guilty in November in U.S. District Court to threatening Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia and a member of his family through a YouTube video he produced and transmitted on March 26, 2010. Besides the charge of threatening a federal official, LeBoon was sentenced for transmitting via interstate commerce a threatening communication, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said in a statement. At the time of the incident, Cantor was House minority whip. He became House majority leader after the November elections. An affidavit filed by an FBI agent said the defendant referred to Cantor and "your cupcake evil wife.“ "Remember Eric ... our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given," the video said, according to the affidavit. "You are a liar, you're a Lucifer, you're a pig, a greedy f------ pig, you're an abomination, you receive my bullets in your office, remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifer's abominations."
Thursday-
Today I read about a judge from Utah who released a documented sex offender that had dozen of charges of child abuse because he was mentally incompetent to stand trial. Johnson, 38, has been diagnosed with a cognitive disorder. Doctors who examined Johnson found his competency could not be restored. They also said he is not a danger to society and did not qualify for involuntary institutional commitment. The Utah governor said that he was outraged at the fact that they let him go when he had already a charge for third degree rape in Washington and he only did less than one year. I think personally that I would be mad; but it’s weird how the only defect is that he rapes little girls and that everything else he can do correctly. I mean isn’t that crazy but yet a petty drug charge or probation violation a person serves several years in prison? I don’t know if it’s me but the judge needs to get fired.
Today ive learned from the reading that Former NBA star Allen Iverson launched an expletive-ridden tirade against police when a car belonging to him was pulled over for a traffic violation last week, at one point telling the officer, "Take the vehicle, I have 10 more," according to a police report.
Friday-
Today I read about the former NBA star Allen Iverson that got pulled over in his car for a traffic violation. He told the police “You can take the car I got 10 more of them.” Allen was riding passenger seat his grey Lamborghini and switched lanes without signaling while a Atlanta cop was right behind him. When they were pulled over the officers found that the tags were expired since 2009. The car was towed. The driver got a citation and the traffic violation. While all this happened Allen was getting rude and was mouthing off at the officers. I think that it was just to mess around with him but regardless it’s still a charge.
Friday- Today I read about the mother of LeBron James. LeBron James is a professional famous basketball player for the Miami heat. His mom was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge. This all happened on Thursday morning. What had happened was that his mother was supposedly drunk and she was waiting for the baled to get her car. She got mad because he was taking so long with the car an assaulted him. But in reality the baled got their with her car quick and she was talking to one of her friends for like thirty minutes while the baled was waiting for her to take the car but I think she was to drunk to realize that.
Today I learned about For the past weeks across the tsunami-hit areas, villagers, rescue workers and volunteers have tried to dig out photos and albums in the hopes that they will be reclaimed by their owners. Many understand that simple photographs from the past carry much more weight for tsunami survivors than they used to. Also Victims of the tsunami walk through a narrow booth, intently looking at photos stuck to planks of wood, and they rummage through piles of wedding, birthday photos and other scenes worthy of a picture. Celebrations and moments of happiness dominate the hundreds of photos, in contrast to the scene of destruction outside the evacuation center.
In today’s morning blog I read about two New York police officers accused for rape to a drunk woman that came back from a party the taxi driver is the one that called the NYPD to call for help for this woman because she was so drunk. Now these cops are going to have a convene with the judge at court for this rape. There has to be a philosophy to this of what existed in the situation and what is evil of what this cops did. This police officers suppose to negate not to make things worse in their own city.
Monday- Today I read about the murder of Christopher Wallace which is known as Biggie Smalls or the Notorious B.I.G. His killing still remains an unsolved crime to this day. The FBI opened up its files this week by publishing hundreds of pages of investigation reports and notes. Christopher Wallace was killed in front a lot of witnesses in a drive by shooting while he was in his car right after a music industry party in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. this drive by shooting brought a lot of conspiracy theories to peoples heads but there was no arrest. Biggie Smalls was twenty four years old when he was killed. He was killed six months after his former friend and rap rival Tupac Shakur was killed in a drive by shooting. A lot of people think that tupacs manager was responsible for both deaths. But I don’t think that is true.
Monday- Today I read about a gunman opened fire at a mall killing seven people and wounding 16 others before shooting himself in the head. I also read about two men have been arrested in Brazil for allegedly selling a weapon to the gunman who opened fire at a school, killing 12 students before turning the gun on himself.
In today’s news, a teenager driving his father’s Corvette was going 85 mph before the car overturned about 10 am Wednesday and slammed into a power pole , trapping him and his 18 year old passenger. It was said that Roshawn Broadnaz , 19 , was speeding down Gillespie Drive in Spring Valley when his car hit a dip and went airbone. The car suddenly several times and hit the pole on the passenger side. As firefighters took apart the wreckage to free the two , and took them in to a hospital within injuries , but not life threatening . But said that neither passengers were under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
In today’s news, I read about a bicyclist who died Sunday after he was struck by a hit and run driver in Encinitas who was identified as 47 year old James Steven Swarzman. As , for James he was flown by Mercy Air to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla but , suddenly died and no suspect was in custody but are still handling the investigation.
