Monday- today I read about A 29-year-old Los Angeles woman was charged with murder Friday and her two accused male accomplices were charged with robbery in a shotgun crime spree that allegedly resulted in the execution-style slaying of an MTV producer 11 days in the densely populated mid-town area of Los Angeles The crimes were considered unusual because the suspects used a shotgun, a rarely used weapon, and they were robbing targets such as two donut stores, a liquor store, or an individual walking alone at night The big break in the case came Wednesday when Wilshire Area Senior Lead Officer Spiro Roditis observed a vehicle matching the description of one used in the shotgun robbery of a liquor store five days earlier, police said. The officer saw the car passing him on the other side of the street and then stopped it.

The other homicide victim was Marcelo Aragon who was killed on April 30. Today I read about Australian police attribute mans death to internet photo trend. A growing internet photo trend is to blame for the death of a 20 yr old Australian man, police in Queensland said Sunday warning other fans of the dangers surrounding planking. The activity been growing in popularity in Australia as more and more people post photos of themselves planking or lying prone in various odd or humorous locations on various social media sites. The danger according to police is followers of the trend are trying to outdo each other by taking bigger risks on where they try to plank. The potential disaster increases as more and more risks are taken to get the ultimate photo. Photos posted on the planking Australia page show people lying across bookshelves in front of the Eiffel tower and on top of fences

Tuesday- Today I read about a psychiatric technician was indicted Monday for reckless endangerment and falsifying hospital records, including those of a patient who died unattended on an emergency room floor. Easton Royal is accused of not checking on patients at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and of claiming on hospital forms he had observed numerous psychiatric patients when he had not, Hynes said in a statement. One of the patients was Esmin Green, who received worldwide media attention in 2008 when surveillance footage captured her collapsing and dying on the floor. Royal may face up to 11 years in prison, according to Hynes. It was not immediately clear whether Royal has a lawyer. Royal was suspended immediately after Green's death. He later resigned. Royal was indicted based on evidence from an investigation by the Brooklyn District Attorney's office into Green's death. Schmetterer would not say if any other hospital employees are likely to be indicted. Green, 49, died of a blood clot when she was left unattended for nearly 24 hours at the hospital in June 2008. Security footage showed hospital employees and other patients appearing to ignore Green when she slumped out of a chair and began to convulse on the floor. The Jamaican mother of six lay there for an hour until a hospital employee nudged her with her foot and summoned help.

Wednesday- Today I read about human remains that were in the Utah desert. The remains belonged to a male. They thought it was a 28 year old mother who disappeared in 2009. Scharmann said the state medical examiner is working to determine the cause, time and other circumstances of his death. In addition to Powell, authorities must now determine what happened to the man whose remains were found in the same region on Sunday. An attorney found the bones in the area where his family owns ranch property. Investigators will likely dig for more body parts, Bill Manion, a medical examiner for Burlington County, New Jersey."The most important bones that they can find are the jaw and mandible, part of the skull, because if we have the teeth, we can be very, very accurate in identification,'' Manion said. Meanwhile, the search for the missing woman continues.

Thursday- Today I read about a mom that was arrested. There are charging her for second degree murder. The reason that they are charging her for second degree murder is because they found her son dead in the Maine woods. Her son was only six years old. They are saying that she murdered him and they have enough evidence to prove it since they are charging her for it. The mom who killed her own son is named Julianne McCrery. This lady is forty two years of age. A tip from someone who saw a suspicious vehicle near the boy's body helped police in making the arrest, Delaney said. Today I read about what Arabs expect of Obama. In his speech to Arabs and Muslims on Thursday president Obama needs to repeat what he said in Cairo in 2009 only this time he needs to follow words with actions the Arabs said. Palestinians need land , dignity, justice and a state. They say that so much has change in the middle east since president Obama last addressed Arabs and Muslims from Cairo almost two years ago. They said that so much still remains the same. There is no Palestinian state. Iraq is still in pieces.

Thursday-today I read about She escaped her native Guinea under difficult circumstances and made a new life in New York with her 15-year-old daughter. She didn't have many employment options and was grateful for her job at the plush Sofitel hotel. Not many details are known publicly about the woman who says Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund and a major player in French politics, sexually assaulted her in that hotel suite. She held on to her belief in American ideals. This was a place where the law did not differentiate between the rich and poor, between the powerful and those who had nothing. It was different from her native country. She is still young, only 32. People think of her as intelligent and dignified -- someone who is sensitive to the needs of others and devoted wholly to her daughter.

Friday- Today I read about Casey Anthony faces six other charges as well as killing here 2-year-old daughter. The other charges include aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and misleading law enforcement. The jury must consist of 12 jurors, with several more people serving as alternates over the course of a trial that could last as long as eight weeks. The defense has one strike remaining allowing it to prevent a person from serving on the jury while the prosecution has three. Both sides started with 10 such options each, not counting scores of others whom Orange County Chief Judge Belving Perry Jr. had excluded for financial or personal hardships or other reasons. Jury selection was discreetly moved to Pinellas County in Clearwater about 100 southwest of Orange County where the alleged crime occurred . To draw from a larger pool of people unmoved by the intense media attention surrounding the case.

Friday- today I read about the creators of south park getting threatened. They were getting threatened by the Islamic people. A criminal complaint alleging the communication of threats was filed in Virginia late last week against Jesse Curtis Morton, also known as Younus Abdullah Mohammad. In February, Zachary Adam Chesser, which is twenty one years of age, who admitted to posting online threats, was sentenced to twenty five years in prison. So the other guy that is threatening them can get charged as much time too. Chesser, a Muslim convert, encouraged violent jihadists to attack "South Park" writers for an episode that depicted the Prophet Mohammed in a bear suit, court documents said.

On Today’s news I read about how Mexic’s Sinaloa state has named a new target in the government’s war on organized crime : bars, restaurants, and night clubs that play “ narco corridors”. Even though they might have their licenses, if they find them singing corridors their licenses will be revoked, according to new rules published in the state’s official register. The popular ballads, known as narcocorridos, tell of shootings, police, chase, and armored cars. Federal lawmakers have suggested banning them, but the proposals haven’t passes. Elijah Wald, author of the book, “Narcocorrido”, a journey into the Music of Drugs, Guns, and Guerrillas,” has documented dozens of past attempts by politicians to stop the songs.

In Friday’s morning blog I read about The 1973 War Powers Act, which says if the president does not get congressional authorization 60 days after military action, the mission must stop within 30 days. The president formally notified Congress about the mission in Libya with a letter on March 21, which makes Friday the 60-day deadline. This can be civil. And now the president has to have a debate and confer of how he is breaking the law.

Today I read an article called Prices at gas pump painful for 4 in 10 Americans. In this article it talk about how the gas gallon goes 4 dollars a gallon now. Overall in the poll, 71 percent said rising prices will cause some hardship for them and their family, including 41 percent who called it a "serious" hardship. Just 29 percent said rising prices are not causing a negative impact on their finances. The share of seniors expressing financial hardship over gas prices is 76 percent; it was 68 percent in March. Many Americans are cutting back on driving anywhere because of the gas prices. Since January, gas prices have shot up about 90 cents, with the national average for a gallon of regular this week at $3.96. But analysts say relief is coming pretty soon. Fred Rozell, retail pricing director at the Oil Price Information Service, expects the price of gas to drop as much as 40 cents in the next four weeks. Until that happens, Ross Cobb in Boerne, Texas, will still try to keep his highway miles down. He says he and his wife have been driving less and curbing trips into the city for their children's clothing and other supplies. I just hope that the gas price goes down.

Today I read an article called Predictor of May 21 doomsday to watch it on TV. Harold Camping, 89 predicts that the world will end on may 21st and judgment day will come. He had before made a prediction Jesus Christ would return 1994 but he was wrong. The head of the Christian radio network Family Stations Inc says that he is sure an earthquake will shake the Earth on May 21, sweeping true believers to heaven and leaving others behind to be engulfed in the world's destruction over a few months. Camping, a civil engineer who once ran his own construction business, plans to spend May 21 with his wife in Alameda, in northern California, and watch the doomsday unfold. As a believer, I'm already a kook compared to most people, so for someone to choose a date and get everyone excited about a certain time, my problem is it makes us look worse," said Jenkins, 61. Atheists are reacting to Camping's pronouncement in their own way. I don’t know what to believe but I guess we will wait and see what really happens on may 21st.
