Today I read about a La Mesan convicted for Obama threats. A La Mesa man who was convicted yesterday of making threats against President Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign said he was drunk and that his online rants shouldn’t be taken seriously. The U.S District Court Judge Marilyn Huff disagreed. Huff found Walter Bagdasarian guilty on two accounts of making threats against a major candidate for president of the United States. Bagdasarian, 47, had waived his right to a jury trial. He is free on $100,000 bail and faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on Oct. 26. Bagdasarian said the country would fall apart during an Obama presidency and suggested assassination. His Internet bulletin-board postings and e-mails included racial slurs, profanity, and references to a high-powered rifle often used by military snipers. When agents search Bagdasarian’s home, they found six guns- three pistols and three rifles.
This morning I read about a $370 million dollar verdict against the co-founder of Guess. Gorges Marciano sued his employees for embezzling money and stealing artwork from his contemporary art collection. The lawsuit was thrown out in 2008, but the employees counter sued for defamation of character and intentional infliction of emotional distress. A judge found him liable in May. I thought the fact Marciano refused to comment was interesting. Each ex-employee will receive $69 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. I think this story is so funny. That’s what he gets for falsely accusing people and now they really do have his money.
What I read today in this article is INITIAL on, witness identifies gunman in killing and it takes place in the AREA of Wichita, Kan. The ACCIDENT of the shooting happen in a Sunday at a church. Scott Roeder was not guilt for first degree murder and assault, but it is said that hens going to trial on October 21st, for those charges. The RESOURCE that they use to CONFIRM out if Roeder was the one who killed the guy, was by the testimony of a witness that day of the shooting. The ELEMENT that Roder use, was that he gave details on the crime scene of the guy.
Today in the union tribune I read an article about Brett Favre called, “QB Favre stays retired, says no to comeback and Vikings.” This article talks about how Brett Favre finally decided to stay retired. Brett Favre is a really high profile football player. He has played with teams such as the Packers and Jets. I think he made the right decision by staying retired, because he had too much to lose. He already hurt his reputation by playing for the jets. If he would have decided to play for the Vikings he would have completely tarnished his legacy. By staying retired he will remain as one of the best QBs to play the game.
Today I have read about in the news paper article how the Chargers are football’s great paradox. They are talking about how the San Diego Chargers keep pulling the miracle playoffs appearances. Like last year for example they started the season 4-8 and not expected to make the playoffs at all. But they won four in a row while Denver was going on a slump terror and the chargers analyze there play books and examine there teams how they do there thing and they did it. They fought back and hard including beaten the Colts in the playoffs. They believe Norv Turner can take them further. Because the Chargers have the best record in December with not losing a game. December is the NFL prime time. I believe that the Chargers are going to make it to the super bowl because they fight really hard and they always go threw tough battles.
Today I read about two condemned California inmates that had died of natural causes. Fred Freeman, 69, died at an outside hospital Saturday. He was sent to death row 22 years ago for a 1984 execution style murder in an Alameda County bar during an armed robbery. AND Miguel Martinez, 39, died Sunday, also at an outside hospital. He was sentenced to death 1 1years ago for murdering a man during a home robbery in Los Angles County in 1994.I think they had to have poising these guys or give them some kind of chemicals that would kill them.
