In today’s news article, Mexican authorities shoot at a van entering the U.S. Mexican authorities on Thursday fired shots that pierced the windshield of a van carrying 30 to 40 people moments before the vehicle crossed into the United States in San Ysidro and ended up in Otay Mesa. U.S. border authorities called San Diego police for backup at 4:40 a.m. after the van was stopped on northbound Interstate 905 at Picador Avenue. Several people fled on foot up a hillside. A man and woman inside the van were wounded. The woman was shot in the foot, while the man had a graze wound to a leg. Two people were taken to UCSD Medical Center, said a San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher.
Today I read on the newspaper about a riot that happened in a San Bernardino state prison. It was a race riot between blacks and Hispanic gang members. This riot left 175 inmates injured. It is my opinion that prisons should be segregated by race. Because we all know that most gangs are based on race. And Hispanics and blacks don’t get along. I believe that this would really help stop violence in prisons. And if you really think about it it really could be an appropriate decision for a judge to segregate prisons by race.
Today I read in the news paper that Jacob Hester the chargers former running back which he has turned fullback has gained 8 pounds of muscle to take on the fullback role. Jacob Hester took over the full back role last year in week 11th when the Chargers fullback have gotten hurt. Jacob has been hearing things about Lorenzo Neal and how he was the Chargers best blocker ever. Jacob knows he is not going to replace him at all because that’s the league best run blocker and Lorenzo Neal is in his 16th season and he is playing with the raiders. Hester knows he’s not fulfilling what Neal has done with the Chargers but he knows he better overall than Neal because he can run and catch balls out the back field he is also a key weapon now to the Chargers offense. I think if they construct and identify his real ability the Chargers will really know where to put him at and they offense will be significant.
Today I read about Michael Vick, recently reinstated to the NFL after being freed from federal prison after a dog fighting-related conviction, has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to his agent, Joel Segal. The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback reports to Philadelphia on Friday. The league suspended Vick indefinitely in August 2007 after he pleaded guilty to a federal charge of bankrolling a dog fighting operation at a home he owned in Virginia. Vick, 29, was freed from federal prison at Leavenworth, Kansas, on May 20 and returned to his home to serve the last two months of his 23-month sentence in home confinement. Although they still don’t know what his position will be in the Philadelphia Eagles.
This morning I read an article about anti-government militias on the rise in the U.S. The causes for the rise are the stress of a poor economy and a liberal administration led by a black president. Personally I don’t think that Obama has anything to do with it. Yes some people probably are upset with the fact that we do have a black president, but these militias have been around for a long time, and there are men with more power than Obama. The article also states that there are conspiracy theories about a “secret Mexican plan to reclaim the Southwest are also growing among the public debate about illegal immigration.” personally I think that is a definite possibility, but these militias should be FOCUSING on greater problems like the illuminati. The article states that all that is missing is a spark and it could end up like the what happened in the 1990’s with the Oklahoma City bombing. I personally feel that the Oklahoma City bombing was an inside job just like 9-11. It also mentioned that there are You Tube videos CONSISTING of anti-government messages on the rise. I thought this article was cool and I think they should write more articles like this so people are more aware.
Today I read about a woman that set herself on fire. The lady was 43 years old. She had poured flammable liquids all over her body. This happened in Miami at a mall. She was walking around the mall while she was on fire a couple people tried helping her and suffered minor injuries.
Interesting Facts- The lady had third degree burns covering 75 percent of her body
My Opinion- I think that this is sad and tragic. The lady had not good FOCUS that was not APPROPRIATE. Today CONSIST of sex class.
In today’s paper I read about The 50-year-old man was arrested on Monday, police revealed. Some $65 million in merchandise was stolen in the August 6 robbery. On Tuesday police released surveillance camera photos of two men sought for questioning over the heist as well as images of some of the rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches taken from Graff Jewellers on central London's New Bond Street. A total of 43 items were taken, with a value of about 40 million, or about $65 million, Scotland Yard said. he heist occurred Thursday, when two men walked into the jewelry store at about 4:40 p.m. and threatened employees with handguns. As the robbers were leaving the store, they brought a female worker outside with them before leaving in a blue BMW, Scotland Yard said. A shot was fired outside the store, but no one was injured. Now these guys will have to go threw some consequences there still looking and questioning the suspects.
