Today I read on cnn about slaying on mexican politicians. Armando chavarria-barrera was the politician that was murdered. He was one of the 11,000 that have died since the president declared war on the drug cartels. The assassin of the congressman is yet to be found and I doubt that they will ever find him. In a poll taken by the milenio newspaper mexicans believed that the government was losing this war against drugs. Hopefully the government will soon realize that they will never win the war against drugs. If they keep fighting this war more people will have to die. What I believe the government should do is just give up. If people want to use drugs just let them it should be there problem
Today I read about Mexico last week enacted a law to decriminalize possession of small amounts of all major narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and crystal meth. Anyone caught in Mexico with two or three joints or about four lines of cocaine can no longer be arrested, fined or imprisoned. However, police will give them the address of the nearest rehab clinic and advise them to get clean. The bill was originally filed in October by President Felipe Calderon, a social conservative who is waging a bloody military crackdown on drug cartels. Congress then approved the bill in April. Another reason for the ambivalence is that the new law is predicted to have little effect on the Mexican street. Police officers would rarely arrest people caught with small amounts of drugs anyway, although they would often use it as an opportunity to extract handsome bribes

Today I read about how the public health officials are considering promoting routine, universal circumcision for all baby boys born in the United States to reduce the spread of HIV, the virus that cause AIDS. The topic is a delicate one that has already sparked controversy, even though a formal draft of the purpose recommendations, due out from Center of Disease Control by the end of the year , has yet to be released. Experts are also mulling whether the surgery should be offered to adult heterosexual men whose sexual practice put them at strong risk of infection. But they acknowledge that a circumcision drive in the United States would be unlikely to have a dramatic effect.
What I learn about this article I read this morning is INITILA on smugglers and gangs preying on migrants and it takes place in the AREA of Tecate. The border patrol ILLUSTRATED that smugglers this days are not doing their job, and instead they are robbing, kidnapping, raping, etc the immigrants. Officials ESTIMATE that there are more cases on the smugglers doing their dirty job, but people are just not willing to speak up, because they are scare. The CONSEQUENCES for the immigrants family is that they have to pay money, and SUFFER for their loved ones being in danger at the moment. The POSITIVE of the case, is that border patrol agents are more EFFICIENT on their job, and theirs more vigilant on the borders.
In the paper I read that a man was killed in a car crash when he was ejected. His car was in a rollover crash on Saturday in Chula vista authorities said. The driver was identified as Anthony he was driving one east h street between hidden vista and terra nova drives that is when he lost control. What made him lose control was that the suv hit the raised center median and some trees that is what caused him to lose control of his Chevrolet Tahoe that’s what the police said they also said that he suffered several head trauma. He died at the scene the crash was reported at 4:15 am
Today I read an article by the name of “Shoppers’ second thoughts”. It was talking about how people get all their wants and needs when they go into a store then right before they go to the cash register. They put the items back in places they don’t belong. For example, people put milk with the cheese or sweaters in the dress department.
The reason I think this goes on because we are in a recession right now and people see all the things they want, but they can only afford to buy what they need. So, I see it as people will not stop having second thoughts and will continue to put things back where ever they want until prices go down.
I wouldn’t blame people for shopping and then dropping. Yes, it will make the employees jobs harder, but people have to make smart choices and I think that smart choices are very important. I also believe people have the right to have second thoughts
What I read in today’s San Diego news for August 26, 2009 was about the case of the death of an ex model Jasmine Fiore. Police haven't located the crime scene yet. They think the suspects Mercedes Benz could be the key to determine where the crime scene took place. Fiore’s body was found in a trash bin her body brutally mutilated. The view ILLUSTRATE that her teeth and fingers were missing. Fiore’s body was badly mutilated that medical examiners couldn’t examine her identity not until they checked her breasts implant serial number. The suspect Jenkins was found dead in a motel room in a remote area of Canada. His car was actually a white Mercedes Benz 2007 CL S550. Law enforcements were probably POSITIVE that Jenkins was the suspect in this whole thing that his picture aired in the news, because now Jenkins was wanted.
