Monday – Today I read about A 20-year-old man suspected of trying to flee to Mexico after shooting a Bay Area police officer is jailed in San Diego and expected to be handed over to Oakland police soon. Andrew Barrientos was the subject of a statewide manhunt after he was suspected of shooting a Fremont policeman in Oakland on Friday. He reportedly was spotted along Interstate 805 in Kearny Mesa at 2 p.m. Saturday, at about the same time that Oakland police alerted San Diego police that Barrientos was making his way to the Mexican border. I think this guy just didn’t think his plan through if he did he could have gotten away. But that’s what you get for acting on something you haven't thought out. For this type of crime you have to be smart about your actions don’t just act on it without some type of back up plan say if anything goes wrong.

Monday-In today's paper I read an article about students bringing a gun to school. Unified School District officials said Monday that seven students were arrested in connection with an incident last Thursday at Thurgood Marshall Middle School. The school tried to apply the strict laws to prevent stuff like this. They didn’t work, a student brought two unloaded guns and ammunition to campus. The authority found out that there was 7 people involved in this. The kids aren't going to have to labor, but they will serve time in juvenile hall. Two of the seven students arrested were placed in Juvenile Hall and have since been released. I think they should contract the sociability of these kids. Another question in this case is how did they get the guns in the first place.
Tuesday- Today I read about the Vice President Joe Biden presiding over the formal end to U.S. combat operations in Iraq, few Iraqis are cheering the American exit. Iraqis, who for years have railed against the U.S. occupation, are generally happy to see that the American presence won't be endless. But there is also considerable trepidation about whether Iraq can go it alone. "It's not the right time," said Johaina Mohammed, a 40-year-old teacher from Baghdad. "There is no government, the security is deteriorating, and there is no trust.“ My personal opinion is to get the troops out of there and home safe. Their families need them and they need to be with their families. We are fighting a war that’s not ours to fight. I hope that this fighting in other countries ends soon because if it doesn’t it can lead to even more dangerous situations.
Today in the CNN I read about a man accused of fatally stabbing his wife last year and was convicted yesterday of second- degree murder. The jury found him guilty in the slaying of Parmenia Malison who was 48 years old was with his wife for 15 years. Police found her body in the couples apartment in Encanto on April 4 2008. Now Mr. Malison is doing life in prison. I think that there was no way to say he didn’t kill her when it was in there own house. I also read in my morning blog about a man suspected of killing his girl friend then car jacking a motorist and crashing the car Monday night , and died Tuesday at the hospital . Police believe that Terry Sayachak killed omdara who was only 29 years old. She was killed with a gun shot into her head when Sayachak left the scene police followed him but then lost him. Well if Sayachak was trying to get away from the police that makes him suspicious of killing her girlfriend or having to do with it.

In the news today I read that American born Edgar Valdez Villarreal, was believed to be one of Mexico’s ruthless drug traffickers was captured Monday Mexican authorities said. His capture came after a highly dangerous shootout according to a spokeswomen with the federal attorney general’s office. Valdez was known as ‘’la barbie’’ because of his blue eyes and light complexion . He was a one-time top lieutenant of Mexico’s most wanted man, Joaquin ‘’El Chapo’’ Guzman. Valdez would later join the breakaway Beltran leyva cartel when the leader of the cartel was soon killed after by a shoot out with Mexican officials, leaving Valdez in a fight to fill power in one of Mexico’s most powerful drug cartel. Valdez is to be known as the only American born cartel leader. He is believed for smuggling up to 100 kilograms a week for much of the year 2005, across the border of Laredo.
monday In today’s news I read about eight people, including one soldier, died on Monday in clashes between the military and suspected drug cartel members in Mexico's eastern state of Veracruz. They said one civilian also died in the violence, which appears to be the latest in the ongoing war in Mexico between the state and powerful drug cartels. Five people were injured in the clashes that started Sunday night and ran into Monday morning. More than 28,000 people have died in drug-related violence since Mexican President Felipe Calderon intensified the government's fight against drug cartels and organized crime after taking office in December 2006. They said about 3,200 federal police in Mexico have been fired since May for failing to do their work or being linked to corruption.

In today's article i read about how people in Nigeria still believe in witches, wizards, and witchcraft. There is a young child by the name Goldwin who's mother and the villagers told him it was his fault because he is a witch so no one takes care of him so he has know to support him.Samuel was 15 years old when an unexpected death happened to one of his family members and everyone blamed him. Wednesday-Today I read about a boy (who’s name was not released) that set off two explosions and had eight pipe bombs strapped to his chest at his former school. This happened in San Mateo. He went to school set off two explosions. Meanwhile his former teacher had called authorities and said that the boy went to school armed with a gun. After that the teacher tackled him and held him down until the police had gotten there. They disarmed the bombs by the school and took the boy in. I think that the boy was mentally ill or was forced by someone to put those bombs on his body I don’t know how a school can have so much animosity in a kid to make him want to cause explosions and blow himself up. This story shocked me because the boy was going to kill himself. Why did he go back to a school which he didn’t attend anymore to cause so much chaos. What did they do? Expel him?. Even being expelled shouldn’t make a person want to cause harm to others as well as themselves.

Correa did not give any other details other than to say the second survivor came from Honduras.

Bettencourts lawyer states that she is the richest women in France. Bettencourt has several ongoing cases involving alleged payments to politicians. She was also given envelopes of cash which to be given to French Labor minister and she failed to do so. Police questioned her many times about the allegations which she denied. I also learned that she has 80 million euros which has not been reported on her taxes. Her daughter states that her mother took the case to court to recover the funds.
Monday – Blake – In today’s reading I read an article about blasts rocking Lahore. At least twenty eight people died. At least two hundred eighteen other people were injured Wednesday after three blasts during a Shiite procession. Two of the dead are children and two others are women, and seven of those injured are in critical condition. The three explosions happened in a radius of about two thousand feet. The second blast was thought to be the work of a suicide bomber. His head was found at the scene. Extra security measures had been put in place for the procession. The incidents took place around the time of the daily breaking of the Ramadan fast. Pakistan is a largely Sunni Muslim nation. Paramilitary forces have been deployed to the streets to bring order.

Monday- Today I read about A man by the name of James Jay Lee. He is From San Diego and he took over a well known channel. The channel was Discovery Channel. All I want to know is why he did that. What was his intent. What was the reason.? But we will never know because the police thought he was a dangerous man so on sight what they did was shot him. He is now deceased and we will never find out why he did what he did. Three hostages are safe from this incident though so I guess there’s a couple good things that came out of this. Because if not they could have been left for dead or the police could have accidently shot one of them instead of this suspect. I’ve seen a picture of this guy and he has this creepy stare about him I don’t know what it is but he seems like he was about to do a lot of damage to tat specific television network.
This man consumed alot of attention. If i were to place this man in a category it would be the crazy category of 2010. He played the role of a bad man that day.

in todays news i read about at least 16 migrants including a woman were being held for ransom by human smugglers in Tijuana, Mexico according to a migrant who was free. With the respect to the man, they were not able to releas his name but what do they know is that his between 20 and 25-years-old. they also know that his family paid a ransom for his liberty and it was after that he came to them and told them there were others that were being held in Tijuana. It was unclear how much the family paid, but reporters from local journalists said the fee for freedom was $4,500. they don't know who is responsible for the kidnapping, but they think that the drug traffickersmight of caused all this. The misterty of the other migrants was unclear, but the migrant who was released said they were tied up by both hands and feet. Tijuana is about 20 miles south of San Diego, California. The Mexican city saw a surge of drug-related violence in 2008 and was the site of some of the bloodiest gunbattles between rival factions of a drug cartel. In January Teodoro "El Teo" Simental, a man who police say was responsible for much of the violence in Baja California, was arrested by Mexican federal police in the coastal town of La Paz, Mexico.

thurs- rafael...Today in the world news CATERGORY I read about a smoking baby. I've heard about people smoking a pack a day but this toddler used to CONSUME 40 cigarettes a day. Two year old Ardi Rizal is from the south and he is trying to play the ROLE of a nicotine free baby ever since he went into a 30 day rehab program. The chairman of Indonesia's national commission on child protection said that the toddler "...has stopped smoking and doesn't ask for cigarettes anymore." Before the program this little kid would get crazy and throw tantrums with his parents just for a hit of tobacco. It just goes to show how addicting cigarettes can be.

Monday – Today I read about 3 dead baby’s found in Dutch home. The category I found this article would be the latest news. The 41 year old lady was in custody when the investigators found 3 corpses in her home in the Netherlands. Two more body’s were found in the homes garden late Wednesday. The investigators might believe that she might play the role of the mom to the corpses.Test will be made to figure out how and when the babies died , the woman will be in custody for at least two more weeks. Once the investigators find out when and why the baby’s died , they will let the lady and the news consume the truth.
Thursday- Today I read about the two year old that smokes two packs of cigarettes a day. Puffing away circulated the Internet in May and sparked an international outcry. His parents said he'd throw tantrums every time they tried to stop him from lighting up. A psychologist who took the child into his own home as part of rehabilitation efforts says the boy has stopped asking for cigarettes. He says the child picked up the habit because virtually every man in his fishing village in South Sumatra province smokes. When removed from that environment, and offered a wide range of activities, including playing and drawing, the psychologist says he no longer had the urge to smoke a cigarette. As time goes by I hope nothing happens to him. Health wise.

Rafael..Today I read about a massacre in Mexico by the border and they think the zetas (narcos) are behind it. 72 people were killed and 2 survivors were involved. The people were from central America and were trying to get to the U.S. but they got kidnapped before they could leave Mexico. They got surrounded in the car they were in by heavily armored men and were made to go to a house. When they got there they were tied up in groups of four. Today I read about a fire on a well connected to an oil & gas production platform in Gulf of Mexico is out & there is no indication of an oil sheen. The vessel, The Vermillion Block 380, was engulfed in flames Thursday morning about 100 miles of the central coast of Louisiana. There was no injuries. A paramedic on board near the oil rig said he saw a bunch of smoke & the radios in his rig control room started to light up. The coast guard deployed five helicopters from New Orleans, two from Houston, Texas, and a fixed-wing aircraft from Mobile, Alabama, as well as patrol boats and cutters to the scene. Five months previously the deep water horizon exploded killing 11 people & causing one of the worst environment disaster in US history. The strategies that Obama has is that his administration tries to impose a six-mortorium on deep water driling in the wake of the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon in April, but the ban is in legal limbo.
Friday- Today I read about a shootout between soldiers and drug dealers. In northeast Mexico left 25 of the suspects died. After the fighting ended, soldiers captured a cache of weaponry. Including 25 rifles, four .40-caliber grenades, 4,200 cartridges of different calibers. 532 magazines for diverse arms and 23 vehicles, two of them painted to look like military vehicles. Its nothing new but the good thing is that the real military is now taking action. Little by little there washing up the Cartels. It sucks that 25 had to die but they chose that life and that life in any minute something could happen like it did.
