A man connected to several break-ins has died. Police said he dropped dead during his latest burglary attempt at an East Providence apartment complex.
The suspect, who police are not identifying, was attempting to steal a flat-screen television from the lobby of an apartment complex on East Shore Circle when he died, according to Capt. Walter Barlow, East Providence Police.
Barlow said the man ripped the TV right off the wall, cut the cable and ran. However, he only made it a few steps out of the door before collapsing.
Barlow said it appears the man, who he said is between 40- and 50-years-old, died from a natural cause, possibly a heart attack.
He said the suspect had been previously convicted of shoplifting and robbery.
Neighbors who woke up to find police and the medical examiner at their apartment complex said they were stunned.
"It is very weird," said Sheila Pellerin. "I was talking to a neighbor, and she said nothing like that's every happened here."
The San Diego Union Tribune didn’t report all bad news today. According to the paper a very important cartel member of the cartel known as the once powerful powers in Mexico, the Arellano-Felix Cartel. The member is José Manuel Garcia Galvan also known as “El Tiburon”. His financial income is believed to be in the million due to the exportation of illegal drugs. When arrested after being pulled over in a truck carrying automatic rifles, ammunition and bulletproof vests with two accomplices. His two accomplices are Armando Buelna Sánchez and Ulises Ruiz Amaya. El Tiburon is known to be a crew runner for the Arellano brother known as El Ingeniero . The weapons he was caught with were the same type of weapons used in the recent killing in Tijuana's bars and restaurants.
The article I read this morning was about a shooting that occurred inside a toys ‘r’ us. Two people ended up dead. The two people that were found dead were identified as Alex Moreno and Juan Meza. Alex was 39 years old and Juan was 28. Alex’s daughter said that Moreno and Meza had a family feud for years-long. Alex’s daughter told police that Meza shot Moreno four times and then shot himself. Before Meza shot himself Alex’s daughter confronted him and said you killed him you killed my dad is this what you wanted. After she said that she heard one or two shots and looked and saw Meza on floor with a gun wound.
I think that all of what happened was very sad. I can’t imagine how it is to watch your dad get killed in front of you. I hope that a lot of people learn from this because it really effects everybody in the county.
An interesting fact that I read was that these two men were once friends.
What I read in today’s CNN news was about a teenage mom charged with killing her own child. Nga Thi Truong suffocated her child with a teddy bear. She was ordered held without bail on Tuesday. On Sunday morning, police were called to the home of Truong, and that was where she handed her unconscious son, Khyle Truong to the officers. The child seemed to be on respiratory and cardiac arrest, so the police performed a CPR. An hour later the Khyle was pronounced dead. Truong first told the police that the child wasn’t responding, then later on she confessed to them that she suffocated her baby with a teddy bear. Truong’s 17 year old boyfriend, Edwin Vasquez, story was that he was sleeping by Khyle. The baby kept waking up a few times and he had a fever. Vasquez heard Khyle drinking the bottle around 11 am and he seemed fine. The all of a sudden Truong was screaming her son’s name. Kyle wasn’t moving at all. So Vasquez tried performing CPR 10 minutes before the police came. Truong was also said to be involved in an incident involving the death of her infant brother. I think its sad for a mother to kill her own son.
In today’s news I had read that there had been a shooting at a toy’s r us over in palm springs. The shooting had happened at 11:30am on black Friday. The two gunman were supposed rival gangs. Moreno and Meza shot each other to death as parents and children shopping for holiday gifts jammed the store, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez. There had a been a gun by each body. The guns had belonged to the alleged gunman. Witnesses said the men were with two women who got into a fight that escalated into the fatal shootings, which sent terrified shoppers and their children scrambling for cover. Two young Latino girls had gotten into a fight and then moreno had showed a gun then enflaming a gun fight through the store while the two criminals were running through the store shooting at each other.
