Today in the news I read about Jeremy Lusk’s death. He was a medalist in the X Games. He was a freestyle motocross rider that grew up in San Diego County. Unfortunately he passed away late Monday night after crashing head-first during competition. He was only 24 years old. He was trying to attempt a back flip but was unsuccessful and landed head-first. Some believe the wind had something to do with the crash. It was real windy that day. He failed to rotate far enough and landed violently. Jeremy Lusk was married and lived in Temecula. He and his wife had no children. In addition to winning X Games medals last summer, Lusk won another gold medal at X Games Mexico last September and finished third at the Moto X World Championships In San Diego last April. I fell bad for his family and think this was a sad article.
In today's paper I had read that the san Diego law enforcement have arrested 33 in a drug sting with 19 suspects sought up. The drug dealers that lived in local off-base military housing has resulted in 33 people being arrested on felony charges. They still don’t know why the military and civilian authorities decided to launch the sting. Several of the suspects are medical-marijuana patients or providers. The sting, called operation endless summer netted $50,000 to $60,000 worth of drugs. Including 2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, a half-pound of powder cocaine, 1 gram of heroin, 100 ecstasy pills, 6 pounds of marijuana and more than 400 marijuana plants. They also recovered seven guns and about $19,000. the cops made their arrests in late January and early February. All of the 33 suspects were civilians and 2 enlisted sailors.
The article that i read today is about the government realesing a lot of the inmate population because it is getting hard to give all the inmates medical attention they are deciding on there actions and how they act they are being very careful because they dont want to reales inmates that are just going to come out and still do the same thing they are just planing to reales people that have little charges anything thats not assult or sex related and they are going to end parole for those that have little charges so that they dont go back in for little things and crowed the jails.
In today’s paper I read about this man named Mustafa Mustafa who had run a business in Chicago and Las Vegas that rented fancy cars. He had distraught over financial troubles that led police in a more than three hour chase in a Bentley sedan. The man shot himself inside the vehicle and died after he was taken to a hospital in Burbank, Sgt. Ernest Fisher indicated. It was established that the chase came to a stop on a street near Universal Studios close to where the chase had began. Police had said that before the chase he assaulted his girlfriend with a deadly weapon. They also suspected from the start that he was armed during the chase. This man used to be the president and chief executive of the Chicago exotic car rentals inc., and now he’s justified himself to death.
Today I read, yes I read, about a woman named Julie Johansen, 66, who nearly loses both of her homes to foreclosure. She was gardening at her house in Carlsbad when she noticed what she thought was an advertisement posted on her front gate. Johansen was horrified to discover that it was a notice that her property would be sold to auction in three weeks, the result of a foreclosure. It was the first time she had heard anything about it. Johansen said that it cant be that they didn’t get the mortgage because I’ve been making those every month. Johansen knew it was serious so she met with Norma Clark, her tax preparer and a friend. Clark show Johansen her credit report which was filled with delinquent payments. She said that when she picked up several of her canceled checks from her bank that she instantly recognize the writing of Jacqueline Matrodimos, a woman who had been renting a room at Johansen’s home for the past 2 ½ years. The judge order Jacqueline to stand trial to 58 felony counts of forgery, the use of another's personal information and false personation. Matrodimos faces a maximum sentence of 42 years in prison if convicted. Clark testified that Johansen's losses total more than 200,000 and that payments weren't made on her house from January to August 2008. Johansen thought that Jacqueline was her friend. Well looks can be deceiving. That sucks for her but hopefully she can keep her house and try to recover most of the money that was stolen.
In today’s San Diego Union Tribune I read about hundreds of thousands of inmates country wide will be released earlier than their sentence time. This indicates how bad the countries economic status is. The inmates are overcrowding the prisons and this costs the government more money, money the government is running out of. There is currently about 158,000 inmates being housed in the system today. 57,000 inmates are to be released in the next three years. A lot of those inmates are their serving maximum terms because the government did not justify them. The department of corrections and rehabilitation will be letting out the one not doing time for violence or sex crimes. There are 33 established prisons in the states only for adults. The victims of the criminals who are now serving time do not agree with the ruling.
The article I read this morning was about the octuplets. From what I read in the article the mother had already six children before given birth to eight more. All her children were implanted with embryos. Meaning that she received fertilization for all her children. The woman who’s name is Nadya Suleman is only 33 years of age. She thinks that her octuplets is a sign from god that she needs to stop having children. Nadya is unemployed and was recently divorced. Nadya also said that she’ll support her children with student loans until she can find a job as a counselor after graduating in a year or two.
I think that god did send her a sign. I can understand people wanting a lot of kids but not 14. I hope she manages to find a way to be able to take care of all her children.
An interesting fact that I read was that her doctor that fertilized all her children can’t be identified by neither the society or the medical board.
