Today in in the union tribune I read about Chargers defensive linemen Jamal Williams will be charged with reckless driving-not drunken driving in connection to his arrest on Febuary 1st. Williams 32, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, but his blood sample showed a blood alcohol level of 0.07 under the California’s limit of 0.08. The blood was drawn well after the arrest. Williams was pulled over for speeding in his 2008 Bentley about 1:30a.m. On state Route 94 east of downtown. His arraignment in San Diego superior Court is set April 23.
Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about a Rosarito police officer’s Beheaded body was found. Yesterday a day after he was kidnapped his body was found with the head removed. The attorney General Office of Baja California identified the body of the man as Juan Eduardo Huerta Carrera, 49.his decapitated body was found inside a 2009 Dodge Durango with California plates found parked on the side of the highway. Huerta had been reported kidnapped from the entrance of an exclusive neighborhood. a spokesman said he had been on the force for less than a year as an auxiliary officer. The death of Rosarito Beach’s deputy police commander Tomas Cardenas on April Fourth was pronounced as a shooting death. Three days latter in Tecate federal agents police survived an ambush. Another police officer had been killed on April 11 from gravely wounds in an attack. This year Ten death have been reported of police officers of both Rosarito and Tijuana police forces. The police after very known to do things not legal. The Mexican Legislative system is trying but not getting anywhere.
Today I read about $45 million given to 9 universities by a mystery donor. A mystery unfolding in the world of college fundraising, during the past few weeks at least nine universities have received gifts totaling more than $45 million, and the schools had to promise no to try to find out the donor’s identity. One school went so far as to check with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Homeland Security just to make sure a$1.5 million gift didn’t come from illegal sources. The vice president of Norfolk State University, Phillip D. Adams, said that in his last 28 years in fundraising, this is the first time he dealt with a gift that the institution didn’t know who the donor is. They received $3.5 million. I also read about stepdaughter Brae Hansen found guilty of murder. A teenage girl was primarily to blame for the shooting death of her stepfather, even though prosecutors said it was her 20-year-old brother who pulled the trigger. Brae Hansen, 19, was the mastermind in the July 2007 killing of Timothy MacNeil. The jurors convicted Hansen of first-degree murder with the special circumstance of lying in wait. Juror Ellen Chavez of Serra Mesa said that in her opinion she could have stopped her brother, she could have gotten out of the situation.
Today In the news I read about President Obama releasing the Bush memos. These memos include details of how former President Bush explained his torture techniques. Former attorney general Assistant Attorney General Jay Bybee said these tactics are not torture because they do not intend to hurt or do bodily harm to anyone. Bybee also approved one of the said most dangerous men in the world Abu Zubaydah to be confined in a small dark space chained in one pace for hours at a time. The people conducting these interrogating put a small harmless bug in Zubaydah’s cell because he is afraid of bugs. It also was reported that interrogators would smack around the detainees and beat them up. Bybee justified himself with this quote "Several of the techniques used by the CIA may involve a degree of physical pain, as we have previously noted, including facial and abdominal slaps, walling, stress positions and water dousing," it said. "Nevertheless, none of these techniques would cause anything approaching severe physical pain." I believe these practices are unacceptable because America scrutinizes other counties for torturing people then we do it.
The article i read today was about this man that worked in long beach hospital that killed 2 co-workers and himself hugo 46 and kelly 56 are not doing very well they are in the hospital and are in critical condition they dont know why the man did this they thought it was because lay offs but it wasent cause there wee lay offs but not him they dint know why a woman said that the actions that he made was not him because the man was a very happy person so they are still looking up on that.
In today’s paper I read about how Brae Hansen and her brother were convicted of the killing of their stepfather. The teenage girl was primarily to blame for the murder as it is being said that she APPLIED the pressure to her brother to pull the trigger. She was in fact the mastermind behind the whole operation. Juror Ellen Chavez expressed her opinions freely, saying that, “In my opinion, she could have stopped her brother, she could have gotten out of the situation.” Because of the special circumstances conviction, Hansen faces a maximum prison sentence of life without parole , while her brother CONTRACTED a sentence of 25 years to life at his June 19 hearing. In another story, the police LABOR force has been suffering major blow in Tijuana and Rosarito, with ten officers being killed this year. Just yesterday, a Rosarito Beach police officer was dead and decapitated only a day after his kidnapping. Huerta had been reported kidnapped Wednesday from the entrance of an exclusive neighborhood. In another story, a reward is being offered in the April 5 theft of a bronze pig from a strip mall in Chula Vista. Surveillance videos showed the men casing the statue, which sat in front of Miguel's restaurant on Eastlake Parkway near Otay Lakes road.. In another story, Obama has vowed to confront drug cartels that are “sowing chaos in our communities.” On the first day of a four day visit through Latin America, Obama declared “a new era of cooperation and partnership” between the United States and Mexico. Although sharing the responsibility for the growing drug trafficking problem, Mexico and the United States seemed to diverge on the issue of assault weapons ban, which expired in 2004. Calderon said 90 percent of the weapons seized in Mexico can be traced to the United States, adding that organized crime increased after the ban was lifted. It seems to me that Mexico and the United States need to somehow get passed all of their disagreements and focus on the problem at hand. Stopping the flow of drugs and weapons needs to be first and foremost in Obama’s new campaign.
In the Union-Tribune today, a surviving pirate will be transferred to U.S. for trial. A Somali pirate name Abduhi Wal-i-Musi say that he is the captain of the pirates and, the court will APPLY charges to his hearing.
The mall’s in southern San Diego declared bankruptcy yesterday. This CONTRAST in the biggest real estate failure in U.S. history. The Chula vista & Otay Ranch Town Center are the malls that became bankruptcy. Theirs not much LABOR in the economy , so people don’t have the need to go out to the mall’s and buy thing’s .
Yesterday , at the new Yankees stadium , the San Diego defeated Padres won , and the whole Yankees stadium was full. The score was six to five, and also the mvp was Jake Peavy.
Today In my morning blog I had read about a man getting shot last night. The man got shot at North Claremont community park in Bay park, the police are looking for the gang members who did it . The San Diego police received several reports of gunshots fired at the ClairMont park about 9:10 pm so they had to APPLY there skills into this situation. A woman called police and said she was with the victim at the basketball court. The cops couldn’t find any signs of a problem there, then they learned that it was at the park at Bannock and Genesee avenues. Later the cops found the victim wounded in the abdomen. He was later taken to a hospital , the witness had said the shooter was among five members of a Linda vista gang, who left in a small white compact car It was very CONTRACT.
