In today’s paper I read about a man who has been sentenced to 14 years for beating a tourist. Damian Maple, 22, has been convicted of beating an Australian tourist with a skateboard and dragging him into a smoldering fire pit in Ocean Beach was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Maple REGISTERED as guilty to attempted murder in the February 2008 attack. Maple also pleaded guilty in a separate assualt on a man near Dog Beach. In another story, the Mount Laguna fire has been contained without much trouble in PROPORTION to the damages caused by the blaze. The fire, about a mile west of the Laguna-El Prado campground off Sunrise Highway, was reported about 4 a.m. and was contained by noon. The fire was not considered a major threat. In another story, the son of an 82-year-old woman whose remains were found in the backyard of her Clairmont home in January will be charged with two counts of grand theft in connection with the cashing of her Social Security and pension checks. Rand Washburn, 66, is set to be arraigned Monday on charges that also include two enhancement allegations that the theft exceeded $65,000 and involved aggravated white-collar crime. In my opinion these Rand Washburn was part of a disgusting, and heartless SCHEME to reap the benefits off his poor mothers death. If the justice system gets it right, he should serve no less than 3 years in a state prison. As for Damian Maple, I do believe that a 14 year prison sentence is adequate, but it wouldn’t hurt to extend his sentence. What he did to that Australian tourist was a bad as murder in my opinion, and so the sentencing charges should not cut him any slack.

Today in the news I read about North Korea. North Korea has been doing a lot of saber rattling. South Korean and U.S. troops have raised their alert level today to two instead of three. This is the highest since the first nuclear test in 2006. North Korea yesterday threaded yesterday to attack any U.S. or South Korean ships that try to inspect North Korean ships. The North has also renounced its truce with the South. This comes days after the South joined a U.S. led effort to inspect and stop all ships carrying nuclear materials or materials that make WMD’s. The North Korean government says that the South’s joining of this proliferation would be an act of war. This is about to set off WW3 good luck.

Today I read about Michelle Bowman and how her husband died by a roadside bomb outside Baghdad, Iraq. Of Friday, April 13, 2007, her doorbell rang early morning and she went downstairs to open the door. When she saw two men dressed in Army uniforms, she knew. Her husband had been killed. She says the only time the military comes to your doorstep is if its death. She said she told herself only one of them died that way and she still got to go on with life.

Today in my morining blog I had read a bout some criminal activities . The article was about justice ruled that the United States. Defied its order last year when authorities in last year in the Texas executed a Mexican convicted of rape and murder . The united states remains obliged to review the cases of about 50 Mexicans on death row because they denied everything it was all a big source. This situation that is happening with executing the 50 Hispanics is happening in Spain its real relevant. The Mexican government applauded the ruling in a statement and argued U.S. president Barack Obama to cocrete actions to comply with the ruling and respect the rights of all mexicans Nationals everthing is all in a big complex.

Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about a A Singapore man undergoing treatment for cancer was detained for four hours by U.S. immigration officials after the drug he was taking caused his fingerprints to disappear. Now, the unidentified man's oncologist is asking patients taking the commonly used drug, capacitating, to carry a doctor's note when they travel to the United States. The oncologist, Eng-Huat Tan of the National Cancer Center in Singapore, described the encounter in a letter published in the current issue of the cancer journal Annals of Oncology. The 62-year-old cancer patient, identified as Mr. S, eventually was allowed to enter the United States and visit relatives after officials determined he did not pose a security threat. According to the oncologist, the patient had neck and head cancer that had spread. He responded well to chemotherapy. To prevent a recurrence, doctors placed him on capecitabine, marketed in the United States as Xeloda. One of the side effects of the drug is hand-foot syndrome. It causes the skin on the hands and feet to peel. With time, the drug can erase fingerprints. That is crazy that medication could do that, what a trip.

I read about a man who was convicted and sentenced for attempted murder in February 2008 on an Australian tourists. Damian Maple pleaded guilty to the attack on Robert Schneider. He beat him with a skateboard and dragged him into a smoldering fire pit. Schneider suffered multiple injuries. He spent several weeks in the Hospital and the returned to Australia. The deputy district attorney said that maple had fractured another mans jaw, a couple days after this incident, during a fight near Dog Beach. Damian Maple was sentenced to 14 years in prison. I feel that the punishment is well deserved.

According to the san Diego Union Tribune I read about a son being charge with a white collar crime. The 66 year old man is said he stole more than $65,000 dollars from his 82 year old mother. The man killed his mother and buried her in the back yard. Neighbors said they had not seen the woman in 15 years. The son in the mean time was still collecting her social security checks and cashing them. Since their was no death records of the woman the checks were still being sent. It is said that the son has collected a total of $304,452 dollars. He admitted to the police that his mother was buried in the back yard next to his father. While collecting his mother checks he was also cashing his fathers social security checks. I think that is ruthless as hell but do what you have to do to paper in your pocket. hahaha

Today I read about a man who pleaded guilty yesterday. He was charged with attempted murder and assault. He got sentenced to 14 years in prison for his SCHEME. Damian Maple, 22, beat a tourist with his skateboard and then dragged him into a pit of fire. Schneider, the victim, had a skull fracture, crushed eye socket, multiple injuries, and burn marks. Damian will now be REGISTERED into a prison.
I think that what he did was wrong but 14 years in prison is too exaggerated . I think that the reason why they gave him 14 years is because the victim was a tourist who came to visit America and got beat up. It makes America look violent and out of control. 14 years can’t be PROPORTIONED.

On today’s newspaper, the USS Carrier Ronald Reagan is expected to leave North Island Naval Air Station today at 10:00 A.M. It had to remain in port yesterday because of a malfunction in a voltage regulator on one of the ship’s eight electrical generators. The fixes were completed early yesterday evening, but Navy officials decided to keep the carrier until this morning to wait for the favorable tides.
