Today I read about Former New York Giants star Plaxico Burress was indicted by a grand jury on weapons charges for shooting himself in the thigh at a Manhattan nightclub and faces a minimum prison sentence of 3 1/2 years if convicted, prosecutors announced Monday. The indictment charged the 31-year-old Burress with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment, Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau said. “The grand jury applied the law to the facts of this case," Morgenthau said. He said the accidental shooting at the Latin Quarter nightclub on Nov. 29 was treated "like any similar case against any other defendant."
Today I read about former President Clinton met with North Korean leader Kim Jong II IN North Korea on Tuesday, North Korea’s state-run news agency reported. Clinton arrived in Pyongyang earlier in the day on a mission to negotiate the release of two American Journalists who had been held in the reclusive communist nation since March. Kim and Clinton had an exhaustive conversation that included a wide-ranging exchange of views on the matters of concern. Lee and Ling were arrested while reporting on the border between North Korea and China and sentenced in June to 12 years in prison on charges of entering the country illegally to conduct a smear campaign.
Today I read on cnn.com about the capture of “la troca” and the capture of “la cuchara” Both of these men are leaders of la familia michoacana. La Familia Michoacana is a drug cartel that trffics crystal into the u.s. I believe that people like this are highly intellegent and dangerous because they maintain avoiding the police. In the text I also read that la cuchara was arrested in a church. I believe this was very disrespectful because a church is a place of worship. La Familia Michocana is accused of having something to do with the killings and tortures of 12 police officers that were found on the side of a road. I believe that the affect of all these killings and arrests is just gonna lead to more violence. Because the cartel leaders aren’t gonna let this slide there probably gonna kill more cops.

Burress' lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said he was disappointed but not surprised by the indictment, which came after Burress testified before the grand jury and expressed remorse. Well I think that burress should at least get into some trouble because he had a gun and the affect is he shot himself and he could have hurt someone besides him. Now if he could magically have kept the gun maintain and under control than no but he cant do that. In the text in the magazine it said how can you shot your self and why would you have a gun if you have body guards it doesn’t make sense.
On today’s CNN news for August 4, 2009 was about a man and a woman who faces charges with child pornography. John Nicklas, 34 years old, and Shannon Honea, 26 year old, was arrested on July 30. They were charged with filming child pornography, distributing child pornography, and permitting sex with a child. They made videos in which children are ages 2- 13 years old. The videos were shot in their very own home in Middle River, and at another location in Atlanta. Police Cpl. Mike Hill comments this case ,” This is gross. Its indecent, there's no term, other than a foul term, to really describe this.” Neighbors were shocked when they found out. Some expressed their own opinions. One said that she's noticed some children in the area, but never knew something like this happened. According to the court documents, one of the victims seems like she was unconscious in the video. My opinion for this case is that I think the two couples are really sick and need to seek professional help, because what they did was gross and not right, and its also messed up to be doing child porno.
Today I read a man that was shot and killed. He was a bum and a police shot and killed him. He was in downtown in a restaurant. The man had taken a knife from a restaurant and demanded money and the people said no. The police said he had refused to put down the knife so he shot him. Witnesses say that they heard 3 gunshots.
Interesting facts- The guy was a bum.
My Opinion- I think that this is very sad and tragic. I personally think they shot him because he was black. Police think that if you are black or Mexican you should be shot it’s a fact. They don’t like bums or homeless so if your broke your screwed. The police have no feelings so this wont AFFECT them. The police cant MAINTAIN there racism and lazyness. I like TEXTING.
What I read about this article this morning is INITILA on, Mexican police arrest 34 drug cartel suspects and it takes place in the AREA of MEXICO CITY, Mexico. Mexican federal police say they arrested 34 men suspected of belonging to a ruthless drug cartel blamed for a rash of violence that left at least 18 federal agents and two soldiers dead since July 11. the CONSEQUENCES were that they were arrested in a service day at church. The AFFECTS of the arrest, had no injures or no gun shots at all. Officials say that one of the men arrested was carrying an AK-47 with him, while he got arrested.
