Today I read about late Friday morning police said two officers pulled 25-year-old John Bueno over for a moving violation on the 1400 block of Pelican Way. Chief of Police Ed Dadisho said Bueno was uncooperative with the officers forcing them to push Bueno to the ground during a weapons search. After Bueno was handcuffed with his hands behind his back, an officer put Bueno in the patrol car. While inside Bueno managed to bring his hands in front of him and grab his gun. When the gun was pointed at the officer, the officer moved out of the way, but he still had contact with the suspect. As soon as the shot went off, the officer pulled the suspect to the ground. What started as a simple traffic stop is now under administrative investigation to determine if negligence or a lack of training affected the outcome. I think that he should of at least shot at the cop but now his just going to jail for a long time.

Today I read about the dangerous daytime smuggling attempt that promoted three federal agents to start shooting shutting down the San Ysidro brooder crossing Tuesday, was brazen but not unheard of. Human and drug smugglers have long tried running the ports of entry, some with premeditation, others in a fit of panic after they aroused suspicion. The protocol is for officers to fire their weapons if they feel their lives are in danger, said Harold Washington, President of the union representing Customs and Border Protection officers in San Diego.

Today I read an article about a boy who was beat to death in Chicago. Derrion Albert was beat to death when he was walking to a bus stop. Two gangs took turns on Albert and the beating was captured on video. So far there are four people being charged with first degree murder. Silvanus Shannon, 19, Eric Carson, 16, Eugene Riley, 18, were all seen on video beating him. Eugene Bailey, 17, was charged later on. The news have a video of the boy being beaten up in broad day light from someone recording it. Derrion was said to be a really good boy. He went to church every Tuesday night and every Sunday morning. He didn’t give his grandpa any trouble.
I think this really sad and tragic. I get really sad when I hear about people losing their lives over gang violence. I hope his family does okay and the boys who murdered him over something stupid does not get out of jail.

This morning I read an article about a 75-year old man who died scuba-diving for golf balls. He started diving for golf balls in 1953 when he was 19 years old. He was found dead in the center of the lake at Deer Creek Country Club in Deerfield Beach, Florida, he drowned. I thought this story was sad but funny. I thought the interesting fact was that one of his son’s died 27 years ago while diving for golf balls in a lake. I also thought it was funny that they put EMPHASIS on the fact that the divers swim in almost completely dark water where “alligators and other critters lurk” but that had nothing to do with the story if the man drowned!

Today I read about a surfer that gets four years in prison for driving drunk in a car crash that killed his 24 year old passenger about 15 months ago in Del Mar. Shortly before the sentencing, Milton Willis, 53, apologized for the death of Bradley Dillahunty, who had befriended Willis as a student at the older man’s surfer school. Willis had been convicted of drunk driving before, he nearly died in the accident early on June 6, 2008. I think that its fair that he gets locked up for four years maybe a couple more years wouldn’t hurt because I think he could have known better he had already had problems with drunk driving before. I learned that if you plan on drinking you should find a place where to stay at or something and if you don’t care then drive alone instead of risking people’s life’s and then it will only be your problem if something happens.

R.I.P. CHARGER

Today I read about a bomb that exploded yesterday outside a home in southwestern Baghdad, killing a woman and her two children, as other bombings killed at least seven Iraqi security personnel and a local politician in the capital and a volatile northern area. The bombing was outside Mohammed Ali Wais in the Baghdad neighborhood of Radwaniyah killed his wife and two children. I think this article is interesting because I don’t understand how anyone can killed kids. Or not just kids but anyone. I think it was the U.S. that did this bombing to this innocent family.

Well today I learned that there was a shooting had happened at the border. This happened on Tuesday September 22, 2009. This was caused by an attempt to smuggle drugs into the U.S. in the daytime. The border patrol agents said they felt their life was in danger so they opened fire. The report says that there were three vans carrying dozens of suspected immigrants that were involved in this situation. The report also says that that was not the first time that had happened. This situation opened the eyes of the border patrol agents and are now on high alert to be able and stop this from happening again.
Well what I think of this situation is that it was bound to happen. The reason why is because since it has been harder for drug smugglers to do their job they had no choice but to do it scandalously. Also the U.S. makes it seem as if they are the good guys but drug smugglers have to make money too its just its probably the only thing they know how to do .
Well I also learned that the border is getting tougher and tougher to get anyone or anything across.

Today I read about a narcotic and gang investigation that led to nearly 100 arrest. Half of the people that were arrested were documented gang members. Operation Red Sky, named by undercover officials after the Skyline gang they followed. There was 14 shot callers that were also arrested. Undercover officers seized 19 firearms, 240 marijuana plants, 10 pounds of marijuana, more than 17 pounds of powder cocaine, more than 3 pounds of crack cocaine and 2 pounds of methamphetamine, 3,000 ecstasy pills and 18 vials of PCP.
Interesting Facts- they also found $60,000
My Opinion- that is a lot of drugs.

I n today's paper I read about the floods here was in the Philippines . 140 people died on this tragic . Lots of people lost their homes and have no where to stay. Like they always have these accidents their always losing their homes. More than 80 percent of the capital was under water at one point Sunday. The deluge caused by Tropical Storm Ketsana, which has since strengthened into a typhoon, engulfed whole houses and buses. Manila, on the island of Luzon, and the nearby province of Rizal bore the brunt of the storm. People huddled on rooftops Sunday waiting on army helicopters to pluck them to safety. Others used ropes to wade through waist-deep muddy waters.

What I read in today’s San Diego 6 news was the news about the arrest of approximately 100 gang members. San Diego police had an undercover mission which led to the arrest to 93 gang members, and the seizure of illegal narcotics, illicit drug profit, and firearms. Half of the people that were jailed during the 5- month mutli- agency investigation were documented gang members. According to San Diego police they were also suspected for many numerous crimes such as murder, robbery, pimping, drug and weapons trafficking. After the undercover mission some of the Skyline- area gang’s top leaders were arrested. The South Bay day care center which was called Little Buckaroo’s was shut down due to the crimes that was going on in there. Three suspects were arrested as well as the relatives. The operation found 19 guns, 240 marijuana plants, 10 lbs of harvested cannabis, approximately 20lbs of powder and crack cocaine, 2 lbs of methamphetamine , 18 vials of PCP, some 3.000 tablets of ecstasy, and $60,000 in cash. The children at the day care center were removed by child protective services. Law enforcements had CONSENT to undergo this operation to eliminate gang crimes making our city one of the safest city. We should put EMPHASIS on gangs to eliminate their crimes from happening.
