In today’s paper I had read that 57 people had died over in Cairo, Egypt after the bus had fallen in a canal. The bus had at least 70 people on board and the bus had swerved away from a oncoming pickup truck near a village close to the city of minya. One survivor had told an Egyptian private television station DREAM that many were unable to get out of the bus. In other news I had that there had been about 2000 motorcyclists that had participated yesterday in a 10 mile ride to Glendale to a skid row shelter where they had given away toys to a lot of happy children. The line for toys went down about 3 blocks. They said they had just had enough toys for everyone.

Today in the union tribune I read that more than 170 people around the world are being held in custody because of child porn, 61 of them are from the united states. Operation joint hammer rescued 11 girls in the united states that were between ages 1 and 13. they were sexually abused by child pornography producers. More were found in Europe and several in Ukraine. Authorities found connections in nearly 30 countries. The operation was founded after a video was found in Australia and was produced in Belgium.
I think that there is obviously more people in this crime ring. Only 170 sounds too little when your talking about international. If there was one video there is obviously more but police have failed to locate them.

What I read today in the Union Tribune was about Manila, Philippines. A wooden-hulled ferry with nearly 100 passengers capsized after being battered by big waves in the northeast Philippines. It nearly Drown 22 passengers and 34 missing. The ferry was approaching its destination in Aparri Town in Cagayan province after a seven-hour journey from the Calayan Islands in the Luzon Strait when it overturned near the mouth of the Cagayan River. What I think is that that’s sad because they were in the ferry to have fun and they got their worse nightmare by the rivers.

According to today’s Union Tribune newspaper for December 15, 2008 was about a teenage boy was killed over the weekend in Baja California. A gunman shot Carlos Alfonso Ortiz Davila on Friday in front of a high school around 8:30 pm. Carlos Alfonso Ortiz Davila was 16 years old. He was the nephew of Alfonso Duarte Mujica, commander of the 2nd Military Zone, and a leading figure fighting against drug cartels in northwest Mexico. Not only was the teen killed but a state police was also killed during the weekend. On the weekend a battle broke out on the city streets between the gunmen and the state police around 6pm. The state officer was wounded then soon later died. Overall the boy and the officer were among the seven people that were killed over the weekend in the state. Over the weekend a man was burned to death in Tijuana, and two decapitated bodies were found in an empty lot of the city. A man was shot to death while driving in Rosario beach on Sunday. This year approximately 800 people were killed in Tijuana. Most of the death involves rival drug gangs battling for supremacy. My opinion is they should have more police officers in Tijuana so this could possibly lower the death rates in Tijuana.
