Another child is missing, officials said. A search ended at nightfall Monday but will continue Tuesday morning, a representative for the medical examiner said.
The father is a businessman who was at work at the time of the crash and was not reached for comment, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The F/A-18D plane, which authorities described as disabled, was trying to land at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The jet had just performed landing training on a Navy aircraft carrier before the pilot reported having trouble, according to the Marine Corps. The article I read this morning was about a man that killed his ex girlfriend because of jealousy. Eduardo Duarte,38 is being charged with murder in the death of his ex girlfriend. The victims name was Ana Valdez. She was 41 years old and a mother of four. Ana lived in Otay Mesa on Via Tonga near Beyer Way. Eduardo killed Ana because he was jealous that she had a new boyfriend. Eduardo threw Ana off a 12 foot balcony. Ana was then taken to a hospital and never regained consciousness and died the next day.
I think that what this man did is sick. He must have been crazy especially if they had been separated for so long. I hope that he doesn’t get out of jail because he’s just plain crazy.
An interesting fact that I read was that they had been separated since August of 2005.
In today’s paper I had read that yesterday there was a f-18 that had crashed into 2 houses yesterday killing three people. A mother , her young child and the child's grandmother died. There is also a missing child that presumed dead. The names have not been released. The pilot is safe. Luckily he had ejected seconds before the crash. The pilot said that an engine had failed on him when he was just getting from the coast. He then said he thought he was going to make it with one engine back to the Miramar landing strip. But he had failed. in other news their had been a beating of a women by her ex-boyfriend. The ex bf had beaten her and then burned her. And then he had set the trailer on fire. This had acured in east county southeast of alpine. Then a neighbor had the seen the trailer enflamed and had took the beaten mother out before it got her.
ACCORDING TO THE SAN DIEGO UNION TRIBUNE A DISABLED F/A-18D HORNET CRASHED INTO TWO HOMES IN THE SUBURBS IN UNIVERSITY CITY. THE PILOT EJECTED AND LIVED BUT UNLIKELY FOR THE RESIDENTS IN THE HOMES THREE PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND A CHILD IS MISSING AND PRESUMED TO BE DEAD. THE NAMES OF THE VICTIMS HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED ONE OF THE FAMILIES FATHER OF THE SON HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO BE CONTACTED FOR COMMENT. THE NEIGHBORS EXPLAIN THE EVENT AS A FIREBALL THAT SHOOK THE EARTH LIKE A EARTHQUAKE. THE FIGHTER PLANE HAD ALREADY LOST ONE ENGINE OVER THE PACIFIC AND THE OTHER ENGINE WAS FAILING JUST BEFORE GETTING TO THE MIRAMAR AIR STRIP. A MARINE CORP OFFICER IS EXPECTED TO INVESTIGATE THE SITE.
Today in the union tribune I read that on March 19, 2004 a 17 year old girl went missing after coming out of work the day before. Her name was Brianna Maitland, she had just graduated high school and got a job to move out of her parents house before starting high school. It wasn’t originally what her parents had in mind but they let her do it anyway. She'd just begun a job as a waitress at the Black Lantern Restaurant in Montgomery, Vermont. On day her parents got a phone call from her roommate asking if they knew where she could’ve been. Right away they knew and called the police, they found out that the car she drove was in the crashed in the back of a deserted home. It was her first night on the job. Maitland left behind her contact lenses, prescription medication and two paychecks totaling $150. police found out that the house she crashed into, there was a drug dealer inside and he had a gun. They couldn’t link the man in the missing case. In 2006, the police in Vermont got a tip from Vegas that she might have been in the Caesar's Palace casino. They took a look at security video’s and couldn’t confirm if it was her or not.
I think she might be alive somewhere. Maybe it was this person in Vegas. Who knows? I think she could have just abandon her whole life to be with someone that everyone she knew hated. Or she could be dead, like I said before, who knows?
In today's news I had read there had been a drug bust over in Oklahoma City. The police had found $500,000 worth of heroin and $100,000 in cash. They had got the names of 2 out of 5 people. Those people were Carlos Barrientos 36 Jose Guadalupe Arrellanos Meza 32. they have recovered 12-15 pounds of heroin. The undercover police were able to get several buys from them but were hard to trace where it was coming from. Neighbors said that there had been strange nights where there would be people going in and out of the house. The neighborhood feels that they are safer now that they are out of the hood. And they can move on with their lives
this morning in the san Diego union tribune I read about the thief who took from two jewelry stores in one night. The jewelry stores he took from where both in downtown, in fact they were in the same building. The name of the stores were; exclusive diamonds and a&j wholesale in the building on sixth avenue near f street. the man is described as 5’ 11” to 6 ft bald wearing black on black with a black leather jacket on top. The man was shown wearing a brown hat in most video recordings. both jewelry stores together are offering $2,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the thief. Crimestoppers is offering $1,000.
