Today in the news it talked about four men that are going on trial for assaulting a woman. These four men met the young woman on MySpace with promises of taking her to a party. The DNA evidence supports the girls allegations. The three men in custody are charged with kidnapping and forced sodomy and forced sex. Also in local news the two men who went on a killing rampage are close to finding out their fates. These men face the death penalty or life in prison. In lighter news the Senate passed the 718 billion dollar stimulus plan but has to dispute it with the Houses 800 billion dollar stimulus plan.
Today in the newspaper three men are charged with raping a college student. One of the three men met the 18 year old woman on myspace. Robert Melgoza,20 and Brian Shippe,21 , pleaded not guilty to charges in Vista Superior Court. If they are convicted they could face life in prison with the possibility of parole. Vincent Barnett Jr. met the woman on Myspace in May 2008 and she agreed to go to a party with him. Barnet is in custody in Arizona, and San Diego County authorities are seeking his extradition.
Investigators had to complete DNA testing and locate all of the suspects before making arrests, The DNA testing indicates who the suspects were. Barnet and his friend Shippe and the woman went to a store, where Barnett Purchased alcohol and they met Melgoza. They eventually went to a camper in the backyard of Shippee’s neighbor’s home, where Shippee was the first to sexually assault her, followed by the two others. The court needs to justify this crime. It is not right for these guys to do what they did.
In today's paper I had read that a man named Herman Castro was hit by a drunk driver on September 1 2006. the first thing that came to his mind when he got hit was to see if his teeth were still placed in his head. He then noticed that the whole part of his right cheek was ripped off. The impact from the trucks bumper left him with rods in both of his shins. he still remains active. He still attends college at mesa college. He is still paralyzed and wants to embark on a adventure in march of this year. He will be joining a an Antarctic expedition with British explorer Robert swan. He is the first to travel both south and north pole.
In today’s paper I read about the three men that got charged with raping a college student. Mathew Rodriguez the staff writer indicated that the 21 year old man Vincent Barnett Jr. met the woman on MySpace in May 2008. Barnett had asked her if she wanted to go to a party with him and she agreed to come along. The woman was picked up at Palomar College by Barnett and an other friend of his named Brian Shipee in Shipee’s car. All three of them went to the store to purchase alcohol and also to meet up with another friend named Robert Melgoza. Then from there they headed to the camper in the backyard of Shipee’s neighbor’s home. At that exact same place shipee was the first to sexually assault her, followed by Barnett. All three men forced hr into the car and took her to an industrial area in San Marcos where Shipee and Melgoza continued to attack. Rodriguez stated that a forth suspect may have assulted her there as well. When everything was done and over with the men left the area and left her there naked with a white dirty sheet. She then walked a mile to a gas station to ask for help. All three men are under custody and are being investigated.

The article I read this morning was about a woman who was raped by three man possible four. The woman is a student at Palomar college. The woman’s name was not released but her age was. The woman is 18 years old. The woman met one of the three men on Myspace.com. Two of the men are under arrest at the Vista Jail. The third man is in jail in Arizona. The manes of the three men are Robert Melgoza, 20, Brian Shippee, 21, and Vincent Barnett Jr, 21.
I think that these men should get life because it is wrong to take advantage of some girl. If they wanted to have sex or something so bad they should of just paid a prostitute. I hope that the woman didn’t catch any serious STD or anything.
An interesting fact that I read in the article was that on Friday Brian And Robert pleaded not guilty in a vista superior court.
According to signonsandiego.com the drug violence raging in Mexico has crossed over into the United States. Authorities are reporting an increase in killings, kidnappings and home invasions connected to Mexico's murderous cartels. Mexican cartels are believed to have set up drug-dealing operations all over the U.S. in cities such as Anchorage, Alaska, Boston, and Sioux Falls, S.D. Cartel employees who don't deliver the goods or turn over the profits are disciplined with beatings, kidnappings or worse. The violence in the states has not gotten as bad as Mexico's, that has seen beheading and assassinations of officials. Authorities say it can get pretty bad. In June, heavily armed men stormed a Phoenix house and fired randomly, killing one person. Police believe it was the work of Mexican drug organizations.
