Today I read in the Union Tribune about an actor that is being accused for stabbing and killing his girlfriend. Shelley Malil, 44, of Sherman Oaks is charger with premeditated attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary in the attack Aug. 10 at Kendra's Beebe’s home in San Marcos. Malil is known best for supporting role as Haziz in the film “ The 40-Year-Old Virgin” faces a maximum sentence of life in prison with a possibility of parole, if convicted. He remains in Vista jail on $3 million bail. Dr. Thomas clarify yesterday that Beebe suffered 23 stab wounds. They said he arrived at the area of her house in San Marcos around 8:30 pm. He walked to he backyard and leaned in like he was hugging and kissing her. It was immediate and she started squirming and yelling for help. Her neighbors heard her scream “ help his trying to kill me!” A lunatic he is because why would he kill his girlfriend ? People are acting dumber and dumber.

Today in the News President Barak Obama signed a bill giving 7 million kids health care. This bill that passed through the democratic dominated house is a step toward universal health care. President Obama also took aim at big business. President Obama has passed legislation on high paid Ceo’s making them all have a salary cap of 500,000 dollars if they are going to see any amount of bailout money. Also in Hollywood news piracy has taken a toll on the movie business the movie Dark Night has already been downloaded 5 million times after Hollywood took months of preparation to stop the movie from being copied. This piracy has hit TV networks as well the TV show Heroes has been downloaded over 5 million times taking away from the viewer of the network.

What I read in todays Union Tribune newspaper for February 5, 2009 was about a man kidnapping his own grandkids in the year of 1989 which was 20 years ago. Marvin L. Maple was arrested Monday night in the AREA of San Jose, California for kidnapping his own grandchildren. Bobby and Christi Baskin were from Tennessee. They’re were both kidnapped by their grandfather, Maple almost 20 years. Maple was angered when he read an article that was written for him on Jan 12 on the San Diego Union Tribune. He talked about the news to him when he was at a bar. His friend then sooner later spread it to one of his friends. Maple was taken custody from his home. He is held without bail for his own crime. Maple and his wife Sandra had custody of the kids after they had been accused of sexually and physically been abusing the kids. They were suppose to return them the day, the grandparents and the kids disappeared. Police cited the kids and the maples over the years, mostly in California. The Baskin children were known as Jennifer and Jonathan Sharp. They’re names were DIFFERENTIATED so they wont be known since they were missing. Mark and the Baskin family were hoping praying that his kids would be found. Baskin saw a picture of his kids 20 years later then soon CLASSIFED Jonathan as being good-looking than ever and Jennifer looking beautiful and looking more like a movie star. Its been 20 years since he last saw them. The Baskin family wish finally came true. My opinion is that the grandparents of the Baskin kids were so selfish for kidnapping the kids. The parents of the Baskin kids were worried for 20 years for nothing since, the kidnappers of the kids were the grandparents.

Today February 5, 2009 in The San Diego Union-Tribune I read about the new rule passed at The San Diego Zoo. They are no longer letting visitors bring there own food inside. Before members were able to bring food in and have picnics. Now they have to leave there food in there cars and if they want to eat, there are picnic tables located outside of the zoo. Many on going visitors are upset about the rule. Some believe they made this rule up so they can make more money from the concession stands. Visitors must eat outside or pay $6.99 for a cheeseburger and $3.99 for a soda. The rule will be based on an honor system and bags are not going to be searched for contraband such as food. Exceptions to the new food policy will be made for people with special needs, and parents that carry infant formula. I do not think the rule is such a good idea myself. I do not believe they should have changed the rule since before you were allowed to bring your own food. I believe this rule was made so more people can purchase food and beverages at the concession stands. The new policy is welcomed with a sign at the zoo’s front gate.

In today’s newspaper I read about former vice president Dick Cheney’s prediction. Cheney predicted a high probability of a nuclear or biological attack in the next few years. He also said that the Obama administration was approaching a tough, mean, dirty, nasty business of keeping the country safe from terrorists too timidly. Obama decided to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and more which made Cheney single out the president. A pointed critique was offered by Cheney to the Obama administration while expressing near-totaled confidence in his own record and that of former President George W. Bush. This was all said in an interview two weeks before Cheney left office.

In the San Diego Union Tribune I read about the violence in Tijuana is a treat to even state officials. Eight of the Mexican military officials were kidnapped and freed in Tijuana. According to México's National Defense Secretariat announced that one of the kidnappers was killed during the raid. The kidnapped were along with a woman and two minors. Soldiers were meet on the area of Tecate toll road by men armed with automatic rifles. At the scene the only weapons found were a rifle and a pistol. The scene was found by one of the kidnapped was able to escape and inform the military of the location. Once informed the soldiers executed a plan to rescue the men and women left behind. The military men are targeted by the drug cartels because if enough of them are killed they believe President Felipe Calderon will withdraw his army but Calderon wants to clarify he has no intention to withdraw his troops from the streets of Tijuana until the drug cartels are eliminated. these men are hard to differentiate from regular citizens on the streets.

The article I read this morning was about the woman who had octuplets. The woman who is identified as Nadya Suleman already had 6 children before given birth to 8 more. Nadya’s octuplets came from in vitro fertilization. She is recently divorced. She married a man named Marcos Gutierrez from the years 1996 to 2000. In 2000 Gutierrez filed the divorce papers. From the looks of it Gutierrez isn’t the father of the octuplets. Her other six children are between the ages of 2 and 7.
I think that this woman is crazy for getting pregnant again. I don’t understand how the woman can get pregnant but wasn’t with her husband. I hope that this woman gets a lot of support from her family and people because she now has 14 children.
An interesting fact that I read was that the woman and the octuplets are doing great.
