Today in the Union Tribune I read about Giselle Flynn was working as a bus driver and raising her children, which was all she ever wanted to do, but army officials had other plans. They had Flynn arrested Saturday at her apartment in El Cajon after listing her apartment as a deserter for the past decade. Flynn went absent without leave because she felt compelled to stay home and take care of her young son and daughter, and she said the army rejected her two attempts to surrender herself over the years. Flynn will remain at Las Colinas jail until the army takes custody of her. It’s unclear when that will happen, and Flynn and her family said they have been unable to get an explanation from Army officials.
What I read in today’s Union Tribune newspaper for February 16, 2009 was about a man who was known as wanted for a murder case was arrested. His case was suppose to air on the TV show America’s Most Wanted. The man, Jeffrey Berrouet was arrested at the San Ysidro Port of Entry on Saturday at 10:15 pm. He was suspected of robbery, kidnapping, torture, and slaying in June 2008. Berrouet murdered a man named Robert Mastrangelo, 24 described as San Bernardino rapper. As stated by the agents, Berrouet showed a California’s driver license and declared he was an American citizen. A check on his identity showed that there was a warrant for Berrouet stating that he was declared as being dangerous and armed. The TV show America’s Most Wanted for the case of Berrouet was cancelled after he was arrested, because there was no reason for them to air his case, because they already found and most important of all he was arrested. My opinion of this article was that the man was stupid for going to the border, because The United States official would find out about his case when they look his identity. It’s a good thing that he was arrested since he killed a man who was innocent.
Today in the news Hilary Clinton condemned North Koreas missile testing announced on Kim Jongs birthday. Saying that these missile test will only hurt their relationship with the U.S. and not improve them. The missile test were being called space exploration to cover up their real purpose. In U.S. news the military is shifting more forces to the western part of the United States in response to china’s growing military power. New Littoral combat ships are being commissioned to handle near shore and close missions. The growing tensions between china and the U.S. are making a conflict inevitable.
Today I read about a woman that is in jail because she was absent without leave because she felt compelled to stay home and take care of her young son and daughter. The Army rejected her two attempts to surrender herself over the years. All she wanted to do was raised her children. She said she never been in a place like Las Colinas in Santee. She is depressed and nerve-racking. The Army took her as an AWOL and they arrested her for that. Even though the Army rejected her two attempts to surrender herself over the years. The officers had received a request from the Army’s warrant division, said El Cajon police Sgt. Fenton Sue. Its unclear when that request came in. army officials did not return phone calls seeking comment yesterday. Giselle Flynn will remain at Las Colinas jail until the Army takes her custody of her. Its unclear when that will happen, and Flynn and her family said they have been unable to get an explanation from Army officials.
ALRIGHT JAYY YOUR NOT THAT COOL
In today's paper I had read that a suspect in molestations of kids was arrested in Taiwan. Mark Kaczmarczyk 58 was arrested in Taipei on Sunday by Taiwanese law enforcement at the request of the FBI. He was suspected of molesting children at a day care center. He and his wife operated as in they both did it. An arrest warrant was issued January 27 with bail set at 2 million dollars. Also in a unrelated case another San Diego man named Dennis Edward Holland II which is 37 was arrested Friday on suspicion of possessing child pornography. FBI agents booked Holland into federal jail in San Diego and is scheduled to appear in court today.
In today’s front page, I read about the China’s growing financial clout and defensive strength. China has been spending double digit percentages on defense-17.6 percent last year-in order to modernize it low tech air, ground, and sea forces. China has commissioned things such as hospital ships, stroyers, frigates, and submarines. Pentagon commanders have begun to respond by shifting more surface ships, submarines and service members from the East Coast to West Coast. In other news, Pittsburgh Steelers’ biggest stars, Hines Ward and Troy Polamalu, donated their own blood in an innovative injury treatment effort. With the contributions of other athletes such as soccer players and baseball players scientists are showing experts in sports that platelet-rich plasma therapy can improve treatment of injuries such as tennis elbow and knee tendinitis for athletes of all types. The method is as simple as injecting portions of the patients own blood directly into the injured area, which appears to help regenerate ligament and tendon fibers.
In today’s paper I read that on Sunday, former President Clinton delivered a speech at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in down San Diego. In the day’s prior, to relocate his appearance he worked behind the scenes, according to a letter from his Chief of staff. The letter was sent to a local union on Friday. The letter stated that Clinton agreed to address the International Franchise Association without knowing that labor leaders and Proposition 8 opponents had launched a boycott of the hotel in July. Clinton speech drew 150 to 200 protesters. They were upset that the owner of the hotel contributed $125,000 to the Yes on the Proposition. Proposition 8 passed with 52% of the votes which bans same-sex marriage in California.
The website, signonsandiego.com asked “Can México learn from the learn from Colombia's drug war?” Before Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez and other Mexican cities became bloody front lines, the biggest battles in the drug war were taking place 3,000 miles to the south. Drug money was fueling a long-running civil war, kidnappings for ransom were rampant and a general sense of lawlessness prevailed. Mexican troops enter their third year of deployment to destabilize the cartels that move drugs north. The U.S. has spent several billion dollars since 2000 on anti-drug efforts in Colombia, including aerial spraying to destroy coca crops. Mexico's murder rate remains less than one-fifth that of Colombia's in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Shirk said. Mexicans received disquieting news in December when a study was published by the U.S. Joint Forces Command mentioning Mexico alongside Pakistan as candidates for “rapid and sudden collapse.”
Today in my morning blog I had read about police officer who kills a pet chimpanzee. A 200 pound pet chimpanzee once seen on tv commercials mauled a woman visiting its owner yesterday and conended a police officer in his car before he shot and killed it. The 15 year old chimpanzee’s owner and two officers also were hurt. Police say that they have no idea why the chimpanzee did attracted them . The chimpanzee attracted the woman as she got out of her car to visit the animals owner. Harold wrestled with the animal , then ran inside to call 911. Later she grabbed a large butcher knife and stabbed it to numerous of times. As the women was treated the chimpanzee advanced to several other officers. The owner had said that the chimpanzee was well trained and was a very calm monkey he doesn't no what had gotten into him.
