Over the past two years, no one has enjoyed flying over San Diego Bay more than Paul Bonhomme. And it’s not just because the 44-year-old British Airways pilot has won the first two Red bull Air races here the past two years. I think it’s a spectacular venue. Tuesday Morning from Great Britain as he prepared for the tour’s third San Diego visit May 9-10. As a pilot approaching the course, you’ve got the city on one side and the greatest aircraft carriers in the world on the other.
In the paper I read about a couple that shout at a cop with a air soft gun on the cheek as the officer made a traffic stop a couple blokes down they pulled over the officer did the arrest easily they didn’t put up a fight the officer found two air soft hand guns and two air soft riffles both were seized for evidence the man was 19 years old he got booked in the vista jail with a bail of $126,000 as for the girl she got sent to the San Diego juvenile hall all this happened in Escondido near Harding street and Washington at 10:30p.m.
In the paper I read that a 24 year old man was arrested for attacking a 38 year old women. The women was walking toward the bus stop when a man got out of a car and grabbed her and put a pistol to her head. When the women fought back the man struck her once with the gun on her head officers say that the gun went off during the struggle but the women was not hit. Mulugeta Hagos is to be booked for several of charges.
In the paper I read about a 14 year old boy that was walking east down olive avenue toward north Melrose drive with an unloaded 22 caliber riffle just after 10:15 a.m. officials confronted the boy on the sidewalk in front of Washington middle school the boy dropped the riffle and the officers made the arrest and took him to juvenile hall.
In the paper I read about a suv driver that lost control when he drove over a oil slick coming from state route 94 on the off ramp in Lecanto. When he lost control of the ford expedition while heading westbound of federal boulevard when a truck hit the suv driver. The police said the victim suffered head, chest and leg injuries later when the suv driver made it to the mercy hospital he died. That was just a accident and he died people should be more careful.
Today in the news I read about the Obama administration seeking a change in sentencing for crack cocaine. The Obama administration met with federal judges yesterday to team up to urge congress to end racial disparity. Assistant attorney general Lanny Breuer believes that congress should completely eliminate this disparity between the two forms of coke. It takes 100 times more powder coke than crack to trigger the same harsh mandatory sentence. More than 81% of the people arrested for crack last year where black but only 25% of the users are black. The difference in the sentencing came from the senate believing that there would be harsher violent crimes with the crack. I feel this is crap because the mob is white and they move cocaine and they kill people all the time. The cartels in Mexico are Mexican and they move coke and they kill even more people. I think that the law is unfair and put in place to keep black people and minorities in jail. Even if the penalties shouldn’t be lowered the coke penalties should be raised about crak.
Today I read about a family who mourns a teen father who was shot and killed. Amanda Sotelo was selling white t-shirts to try and raise money for Fermin Garcia. Fermin was the father of her 5 week old baby Alexander. Amanda and Fermin had met at a party four years ago and were together ever since. Fermin was a student at south bay summit. Fermin was planning on graduating in December.
Interesting facts- Fermin had just got off probation 4 months ago.
My Opinion- I think that is sad that he got shot.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune I read about Mexico's plan to prevent contraband from entering the country and leaving the U.S. Mexican officials will begin screening as entering the country. By mid summer the unsupervised entry of cars and trucks will just be a thing of the past. The end of the freeway into the country will now be paused for screening with technology. This is to prevent the flow of guns, cash and other contraband by drug trafficking organizations. While the technology will help country’s protection delays south of the border are already predicted. The license on every car will be checked upon arrival to know if the car was stolen or was used in any crime. Stolen cars are a way many cartels have so many varieties they commit crimes and do not get caught because they could always just ditch the cars after the crime is committed.
In the paper I read about a 26 year old man that was caught and surprised by the lady the owner of the house she caught him in her bathroom. the woman called the police just before 1.20p.m the man fled from the apartment and got caught couple blocks down at Fletcher parkway in hands he had her clothes and jewelry police say that he was armed with a dagger possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia and violation of parole.
In today’s paper I read about how a man was found dead in his truck last week. Demetrio M. Bautista was found in his black 2001 Toyota Tundra about 4 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Vista Transit Center. In another story, a man was arrested after being linked to a burglary. The burglar fled the apartment through a sliding glass door after the woman surprised him in her bedroom. Officers spotted the man running down Baltimore, and he was caught at Fletcher Parkway. The woman identified the man as the one who had been in her apartment. Police found him carrying a dagger, along with some of the victim’s clothing and jewelry. He also had a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. The man was booked in a county jail on suspicion of residential burglary, possession of a concealed dagger, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating parole. In another story, a 59-year-old man who was struck by a car nearly two weeks ago when an elderly driver slammed into the lobby of a Tierra Santa dentists office has died. The man died Tuesday after having been injured in the April 15 crash on Tierra Santa Boulevard near La Cuenta Drive. He lived with a roommate in Spring Valley and his name has not been released. Police said the accident occurred when an 86-year-old woman was pulling out of her driveway. In my opinion, I believe crimes like this occur mainly due to illegal drug use. The drugs make people do things they would not have normally done.
