In today’s paper I read about how cancer is becoming the number one killer in San Diego County. Heart disease was the previous top dog, but it has just recently gave way to cancer. The switch LEGAL statistics about causes of death, has seen cancer make its presence known after major advances in preventing and treating heart attacks, congestion heart failure and other cardiovascular ailments during recent years. In another story, Meki Gaono, 20, was found guilty in the fetal shooting of an Oceanside police officer. The shooting death of Officer Dan Bessant, 25, shocked the community about two years ago. Yesterday, the courts began to LEGISLATE the gruesome, cold-blooded slaying. Seventeen relatives of Gaono’s gathered in the courthouse hallway, crying and hugging each other. A jury of nine men and three women took nearly two days to reach a verdict in the six week trial. In addition to murder Gaono was found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon. After reviewing legislative POLICY, Gaono faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. In another story, a marine is found guilty of indecency over the web. The marine had exposed himself sexually over the Internet to a federal agent he thought was a teenage girl. The marine has been sentenced to three months in the brig, reduced to the lowest enlisted rank, forced to forfeit all of his salary during the prison term and voted for a dishonorable discharge.

Today in the awesome Union Tribune I read about how The General Motors started firing 1,600 white-collar workers, continuing its effort to slash costs and qualify for more government loans on the same day it revealed that it spent $2.8 million in the first three months of this year to lobby federal lawmakers. Meanwhile, fiat’s CEO left Italy to resume talks on an alliance with Chryslers, as deadlines draw closer for GM and Chryslers to finish there reconstructing plans. Both automakers are living on a combined $17.4 billion In government loans and have said they will need more money to survive. Chrysler must cut its debt and its labor costs and forge an alliance with fiat group by April 30

Today I read about the Miss USA pageant. Finalist Carrie Prejean feels that if the would have got another question that she would have won the pageant. Prejean a San Diego native was runner up in the Miss USA pageant. The question she was faced with was “Do you think every state should follow suit, why or why not?” I think that this question shouldn’t have been asked in a beauty pageant because he has a lot to do with politics and moral beliefs. I myself don’t believe gay people should get married. Gay marriage is not right because in the dictionary by definition it say that marriage is a bond between a man and a woman not a man and a man. I think that this question should have no baring on the winner of a beauty pageant. In other news I also read about the Somalian pirate being released I do not agree with this either.

In the San Diego Union Tribune I read about the 20 year old gang member found guilty of killing a police officer. Two years ago pig Dan Bessant, 25, was shoot to death by Meki Gaono, 20. earlier that day the jury found Gaono guilty of firing a deadly weapon at pig Karina Pina. Gaono was sent to a prison for a maximum sentence of life in prison without chance for parole. Instead of wishing him hell the pigs family wishes him safety while in prison. The police were doing a routine traffic stop and two teenagers who had been drinking walked out of a house 400 yards away and shoot off rounds. The gang members in that area had been angry about the recent crackdown on gang activity and code violations at their homes. Gaono at age 17 fired a .22 caliber rifle with a scope at the pig. The bullet hit Bessant under his left arm just above his protective vest. The rifle was then found at a shed behind Gaono’s house. Prosecutors said Taeotui fired a .22 round revolver but didn’t hit anything. That shot was a one in a million shot. A .22 caliber going so far and piercing the skin or even the shirt just over the vest but under the arm.

In the Union-Tribune, a young man name Meki Gaono, is guilty of fatally shooting Oceanside police officer Dan Bessant in 2006. Gaono , 20, was convicted of first degree murder, and after reviewing LEGAL POLICY, Gaono will likely be sent without parole. Even this young man was a gang member; ooh. Meki hearing LEGISLATE a person uses a rifle killing a cop will face murder charges.
Four people found dead in a room at a suburban Baltimore, Maryland, hotel were members of the same family and apparent victims of a murder-suicide. Their deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide. The bodies were found Monday after a housekeeper told hotel management about 3 p.m. These types of murder seems like a movie.
