In today's article I read about a man that was finally caught after 10 robberies in at least 4 banks. he was arrested in Missouri after a retired state trooper saw him and learned he was wanted. Chad Schaffner, 37 was arrested in Kingdom City, Missouri, about 2:45 p.m. Saturday. Schaffner faces charges including bank robbery in Tennessee; burglary in Indiana; armed robbery in Illinois; and receiving stolen property in Ohio. He also faces drug charges in Missouri. Schaffner is suspected of robbing banks in states including Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, according to the FBI. Schaffner was identified as a suspect last month after investigators posted surveillance photos from the robberies on electronic billboards throughout the South. In the photos, a man was seen sneering and holding a pistol sideways. The robberies began in May. While no one was harmed.
Today I read about meth consumption and how it is the highest in Tijuana. There will be a museum that will help students understand the parts of the brain and how they are affected by alcohol an drugs, field trips will be supplemented with related classroom instruction. The museums name is ambar Spanish for amber, it is meant to conjure a yellow caution signal. Drug use in Mexico and the rest of Latin America has been rising it doesn’t approach the level of U.S. which has the highest in the world, Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez face some of the most severe drug use in Mexico. I believe that the museum will help the risk on children consuming drugs, because at the museum they will be giving classes and even though Mexico is not the highest in the world for drug use they could still help prevent it and hopefully even lower drug use. I agree with the people who decided to build this museum and I feel that its going to be a successful decision because most young people don’t believe things until they see them. I learned that you can make a difference in peoples life's by teaching them things that they probably never thought about.
What I read this morning in the article was INITILA on Police: Body found could be missing Yale student and it takes place in the AREA of New Haven, Connecticut. Investigators found the remains of a woman they assume is missing Yale graduate student Annie Le. They CONSUME that The remains were found inside a wall at 10 Amistad Street. The CATEGORY of them is that Le was last seen on a Yale security camera entering the Amistad medical research building at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The CONSEQUENCES are that they think is her body, and she was to be married Sunday in Long Island, New York. Her fiancé, Jonathan Widawsky, is a graduate student at Columbia University in New York. Investigators probing the disappearance of the pharmacology student earlier were testing bloody clothes found hidden in ceiling tiles in the Yale building
Today I read an article about a pregnant teenager getting shot at a bus stop. Fifteen year old Tiffany Wright was 32 weeks pregnant. She was walked to the bus stop in the early morning by her aunt. Her aunt returned to the house and heard three gun shots fired. She ran back out to find Tiffany shot in the head. She was rushed to the hospital so her baby could be delivered. She died, but her baby is still alive and in medical care. They don’t know if she was a target and they don’t know who did it yet.
This is sad. I don’t believe that young girl deserved to be shot. If her baby does survive, the baby will have a rough life knowing that it’s mother died while pregnant with itself. Who ever did it needs to come clean. They should also know that they are stupid for taking one life but attempted to take two. Who ever did it needs life in prison because what they did was completely wrong. I feel bad for the girl’s family and her child.
Today i read about a wedding that was going to happen and on the way to his wedding he was hit by another car who had ran a red light. The man was thrown from the car and hit by two other cars. And after the people who where already there waiting for the wedding to happen had stayed to gather for a memorial in the church. I think this is a crazy article. This just shows that anything can happen at any time. I hope the best for this mans wife.
In the paper I read about the increasing of the vehicle inspection heading in to Mexico we now have to yield to enter into Mexico they started doing this to reduce the money and weapons crossing into Mexico Alan Bersin reported yesterday that they had seized 40 million bulks of cash during bersin talked with the institute of the Americas at UC San Diego he touched on a broad range of subjects relevant to the U.S. Mexico relationship including immigration reform, and drug cartel and travel safety in Mexico. you'd have to be a awfully unlucky as an ordinary tourist to be caught in a crossfire that takes place between cartel, or between the government and cartels bersin a former U.S. attorney in san Diego played a key role in the mid-1990s implementation of the crackdown on illegal immigration in san Diego area known as operation Gatekeeper. yesterday a group of demonstrators led by the san Diego based raza rights coalition chanted and held signs protesting bersin’s presence
What I read in today's San Diego news for September 14, 2009 was about an 18 year old girl who got physically assaulted and left stranded. The victim attended San Diego State University as a freshman and had been partying and drinking that time when she got physically assaulted. The assault happened on Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house on the 5000 block of College Place. The victim had been yelling for help when the guy that assaulted her left her on the bottom of the cliff. A woman living in the neighborhood heard her screams, so she rushes out from bed and finds the girl and tries helping her. The victim told the woman that she was completely naked and told her that she had gotten taken advantage of, and the guy had just left her there. The woman clothed the young girl with her daughters clothes. Police are looking for an 18 year old man 5’10 in height wearing a white shirt with some writing and blue jeans. Investigators are trying to CONSUME all the description all together to find out about the incident. They are taking a ROLE in this incident due to what happened to the girl. This CATEGORY fits into the category of rape, because the girl got used while she was drunk by a guy she probably didn’t even know.
What I read in today’s newspaper for September 15, 2009 was about Amber Dubois who went missing seven months ago. Since there were no signs of Amber after seven months, Amber’s family are not criticizing that Escondido police aren't really taking a big ROLE in the search for her. Amber’s father strongly believe that Amber isn't getting what she needs to be recovered. Police failed to act quickly on a tip that was received on August 24. Investigators are CONSUMING every evidence from the past so they would recovered what and where is Amber. This incident fits on the CATEGORY of missing children, because there was no full evidence that Amber ran away or got kidnapped. My opinion to this matter is that I wonder why investigators still haven't recovered any updated information that might lead to Amber.
