R.I.P. CHARGER!!!

Today I read about a 15 year old boy was fatally stabbed yesterday outside his high school as he fought with another teen. The teen suspect in the slating escaped on foot, Mesa police said. Students who witnessed the killing recognized the teen and officers were trying to find him last night. Police didn’t report what had started the fight. I chose this article because I can relate to it. My friend was killed about a week ago the same way. These kids doing these stabbings are stupid and are risking their own lives by doing it. They can get 25 to life for this. And even if they don’t kill him they can still get 10 to 15 years. That’s too much time out of life.

Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read an article called Criticized ex-prosecutor now Mexico’s attorney general. This article talks about how Arturo Chavez, once a very criticized prosecutor of the state of Chihuahua for not being able to solve dozens of homicide and rape cases is the new Mexican attorney general. Dozens of women protested outside the attorney general’s office when they heard of this election. It is in my opinion that this is one of the reasons why Mexico Doesn’t progress. Mexico needs to get Highly qualified people to there jobs in politics. Hopefully he does a good job. But then again if he failed to do his job correctly many other times what guarantees us that he will do his job correctly this time. I believe that the president made a mistake by appointing him attorney general.

Today I read about college football star Eric Ikonne. He has sickle cell. He inherited from his mother at birth. Just this spring he collapsed after a football workout. The cause of him collapsing was overexertion. His father said this should be a wake up call. He is not the first player to collapse this decade because of sickle cell. There was seven deaths in the past decade because of sickle cell. Ereck Plancher died in 2008, Devaughn Darling died in 2001, Dale Lloyd II died in 2006, etc. Families of the people who lost their loved ones in this situation sued just so coaches could through their heads that they need not be so ruff on the players especially the ones with sickle cell.
I did not know sickle cell was a common disease. I am glad that Ikonne is recovering and I am really happy he didn’t pass. It is already terrible so many people already lost their lives in this situation. I hope the coaches do open their eyes because nobody deserves to lose their life for playing football.

Today I read that Susan Denise Atkins, a former member of the Manson family who killed pregnant actress Sharon Tate during a two-day killing spree in 1969. Atkins died at 11:46 p.m. PT Thursday at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla. Atkins, California's longest-serving female inmate, was suffering from terminal brain cancer. Since she entered prison in 1971, she became a born-again Christian who worked to help at-risk youth, victims of violent crimes and homeless children, among others But Atkins was best known for her actions in 1969 when as a 21-year-old she and other Manson family members participated in seven murder over two days, a rampage that terrorized Los Angeles. After stabbing Tate to death, Atkins -- known in the family as Sadie Mae Glutz -- scrawled the word "pig" in blood on the door of the home Tate shared with her husband. I think that sucks dying in jail.

What I read in today’s San Diego 6 news was about the death of an Oceanside teen. Michael Pyper died in a crash after his football game at Rancho Buena Vista. Some of Michael’s friends said that the cause of the accident was that he was racing when he was going home until he lost control of his vehicle. Oceanside police on the other hand said that Michael didn’t have the CRITERIA for racing so they just said that he was driving too fast and lost control of the steering wheel. Students who had also attended the football game rushed to the scene of the crash after they heard about what had happened. Approximately 150 people gathered at the scene of the crash on Sunday at Lake Boulevard. Michael’s mother Maria was speechless staring into the many bouquet that was left in her son’s memory. Omar Sarwan considered Michael as his best friend, they both graduated this year at Rancho Buena Vista High School, played at the varsity football team, and they were both attending Palomar College. Omar didn’t give Michael CONSENTto race, he kept giving him advice to not be a racer, because anything could happen. My opinion is that Michael shouldn’t have been speeding in the first place. Who knows what could happen. I still have my condolences for him. Many of Michael’s friends puts EMPHASIS on his death.

Today I read about a HIV vaccine in Thailand, it is the first vaccine to show any sign of preventing the spread of HIV it has provided the most encouragement since the 1990’s. Results of a trial involve more than 16,000 adults in Thailand indicate the vaccine regimen was safe and reduced by thirty one percent the chance of infection with the aids causing human immunodeficiency virus. It is the first time a vaccine has been shown to confer any HIV protection at all, experts said it is unlikely that any country would consider the vaccine. I believe that the fact that they discovered this in Thailand it is going to get them a lot of money and its also good that the vaccine is going to help so that the virus wont keep on spreading and hopefully one day it wont be one of the leading causes of death.

In today's paper I read about the brilliant super chargers. They been raining down. Their worried about their player Nick Harwood he injured he had surgery and now he is not going to be able to play for like about 8 weeks probably even more time. Well the coach said they still need lots of improvement and that the chargers are not the same team when he first started coaching them. The team need to get back together an work as what they are a team the coach had said that . Last two games the chargers had lost noses tackle. This last game they won but for bit I their coach had said he knew that chargers could’ve done better than whet they did and that he expected more from them on next game they have. He also said that working as a team makes everything better team which is called teamwork he said.
