Today I read another article about Derrion Albert. He was a 16 year old boy who was beaten to death while he waited for a bus to go home from school. His family wants to start a stop violence group because they don’t want this to happen to anyone else’s child. They had even gotten the attention of President Obama. The aunt realized the government can’t do anything but the community can. They have to understand why this happened and what can stop it from happening.
I completely agree with his family. People don’t realize how it feels unless it happened to someone important to them. People including me are trying to prevent this from happening anymore because it hurts extremely bad and you will never be the same again. People hold grudges and have some much hate inside, but why take another person’s life it will only hurt you more in the end. I don’t think a person can possibly hurt enough to take a person’s life and in the end not hurt more. People just need to think!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIP Michael & Monique

Today I read about 16 year old honor student named Darrien Albert was a victim of a brutal beating that lead to his death. This happened in Chicago on a Wednesday afternoon. The boy’s grandma was so concerned that she is trying to start a group for the whole community to help stop things like this from ever happening again. There were four teens arrested in this incident and there are still three more missing. Prosecutors also mentioned that this beating was all a misunderstanding for Darrien because this was a fight that had nothing to do with him. The fight was outside of his high school in which a few boys got into an argument and started fighting thinking that Darrien was an enemy they brutally beat him with a railroad tie.
I think this was really sad because things like being in the wrong place at the wrong time always happen. I agree with his grandma in making that little organization to help future incidents. I think they should not stop looking for the other three boys because then they might do it again.
I learned that incidents like this one happen everywhere and at any time so everyone has to be very careful.

Today I read about a man accused of abusing his elderly father, Daytona Beach police said fifty year old Julian Parker burst into his parents room as they slept and demanded for money. Police said parker was furious when Parker’s parents refused to give him money. He shoved his father and graved him by the arm. Parker was also charged for injuring his mother in another incident. Parker has a criminal history and had just been released from prison on drug charges. I think some people that have their parents don’t appreciate them, it is really messed up that he abused both his parents it must be the drugs or something because this guy has no feelings, he is already fifty and he is asking his parents for money, if I had my parents with me I would not be asking them for money instead I would be helping them out. I believe this guy really needs some help with his drug problems and he needs to learn how to get his own money because he's already old. I learned that drugs mess your head up.

This morning I read a story about a 17 year old girl who got caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart in Ohio. She was caught trying to steal $59 worth of baby clothes. She was taken into the loss prevention office. When a police officer went to his car to get more paper work, she somehow slipped out of the office with handcuffs on, and she left her baby there. She could have only been charged with petty theft, but now she can be charged with child endangerment. I think maybe the officers should have EMPHASIZED that her charges weren't that serious, and maybe she wouldn’t have left. Regardless, she doesn’t deserve to have her child.

Anthony, 23, is charged with first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. Prosecutors have said they are seeking the death penalty against her.

The child's skeletal remains were found in December in a wooded area about a half-mile from the home where Caylee and her mother lived with Casey Anthony's parents. The cause of Caylee's death is homicide by undetermined means, authorities have said.

Police released documents this year showing they believed that Caylee was slain within days of the time she was last seen and that her body was in the trunk of her mother's car for "a period of time."

An attorney for Casey Anthony's parents, Brad Conway, released more documents Wednesday, according to CNN affiliate WESH. Among them were results of an FBI test that show fibers taken from duct tape found across Caylee's mouth do not match similar fibers from tape that was found on a gas can in the Anthonys' garage, the station reported.

Today I read about a kid that died from an overdose. The boy was only 14 years old. The dad might face charges of child neglect. The boys friend was also left in critical condition. The boy was found dead on the couch with narcotics and homemade smoking devices and snorting devices that likely belonged to his father.
Interesting Facts- The father of the boy was on a lot of pain medication.
My Opinion- I think that this is a very sad and tragic story.

In today’s news an Earthquake that occurred today killed about 500 people in Indonesia. A 6.8 magnitude quake that hit south Sumatra at 8:52 am about 89 miles. At least 529 people were found dead and 500 seriously injured. Authorities say that about 1,000 people are trapped by collapsed buildings and houses. This is one of the deadliest Earthquake that hit Indonesia in a long time. Authorities should EMPHASIZE if there are more Earthquakes that will hit Indonesia. Authorities will come up with a CRITERIA to save more people from another earthquake. Of course the Authorities will have to get CONSENT from the people to make a Decision.

Today I read about a strong earthquake that hit Indonesia. The earthquake was a 6.8 magnitude, there was an earthquake before the one this morning. The last earthquake was stronger, it was 7.6 magnitude. The worst hit was the West Sumatra capital of Padang, where 376 people perished. Ministry of Health's crisis center said that thousands of people may be trapped by collapsed buildings and houses. People used hammers, chisels and even bare hands to dig through debris for survivors and belongings. The earthquakes destroyed power and phone outages. It’s making it difficult for authorities and aid organizations to evaluate damage.

What I read in today’s CNN news for October 1, 2009 was about the arrest that was made for the death of an Illinois family. Christopher Harris had the CRITERIA of the murders of a family. He had been arrested and charged with the murder of an Illinois family whom were beaten to death. Harris is being held at the Logan County Jail. Investigators put EMPHASIS on this case in which the judge gave law enforcement the CONSENT to arrest Harris. Investigators are still looking for more suspects involved in the beatings. The people who were beaten to death were Raymond Gee, Ruth Gee, and their three children, Justina Constant, Dillen Constant, and Austin Gee. I learned in this article that police officers found a gray pick up truck which looked like the same that was seen on the same day where the killings took place. I wonder what made Harris kill the family.
