Today I read about a bear that injured nine people at a highway rest stop in central Japan before being shot dead in a souvenir shop. The black bear seriously injured four men Saturday afternoon in Nyukawa, a small mountain town about 140 miles west of Tokyo. The 4 foot bear first people at a buss parking lot and then entered a lodge where it was trapped in a souvenir shop and shot dead by a hunter, according to the media report. I think that this article is crazy. How did the bear make his way inside without no one seeing it? If I was ever in this situation I don’t think I could handle it.

This morning I read an article about a man in Australia who passed away after he won the right to die in a landmark court case. Christian Rossiter broke his spine in 2004 in a road accident and was left a spastic quadriplegic after a fall last year. He had described his life as a “living hell.” in August, the Australian Supreme Court ruled that nursing home he was in must respect his decision to starve to death. I thought the interesting fact was that he died from a chest infection not from dehydration or starvation. I also read about a black bear that was shot and killed in Tokyo after it had attacked four men, seriously injuring them. The bear first attacked people at a bus parking lot and then went in a lodge where it became trapped in a gift shop and was killed by a hunter. In total the bear injured nine people. Io thought an interesting fact was that the bear was only four feet tall.

In today's article I read about Former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress surrendered to authorities Tuesday to serve a two-year prison sentence on a weapons charge. Burress was also sentenced to two years of post-release supervision with permission to travel for business. Burress, 32, pleaded guilty in August to a weapons charge stemming from a shooting incident at a nightclub last year. He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The former New York Giants wide receiver accidentally shot himself in the leg with a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol he was carrying in his waistband. The incident occurred November 29, 2008, in the VIP area of the Latin Quarter nightclub in Manhattan. I think that he is really dumb for shooting him self.

Today I read about a car crash on Route 125. A 53 year old woman and a 17 year old girl crashed into one another. The 53 year old woman was heading west on mission Gorge Road and was about to turn left on south state route 125 in a ford explorer. The 17 year old girl was driving a truck exiting northbound state route 125. They collided at that point. The 53 year old woman died, and the 17 year girl is critical intensive care. This was the second incident. Three weeks ago four people died. Mark Saylor and three other family members died after they struck an SUV.
I feel this is very sad. A total of five people lost their lives on the same intersection. I hope the close this area for good. I mean the previous accident could have been like okay there was an accident, but then another one occurred in a short time. They need to think of a alternative way to structure this area. Hopefully they use a good strategy. Honestly I say it doesn’t matter what the people say in this case it matters about safety. Hopefully they make the right choice.

In today's paper I read about Obama’s crisis he wants to raise a penny to all the sweets and the government will be making 1000 million dollars for all the sweet they buy. He wants to raise the taxes and wants to put a tax in everything pretty much. Well don’t know if the people are stable with that but since the economy is really bad right now who really knows what’s going to happened. The CNN interview him. And they want to bring back the military troops since they don’t really have nothing no more well they still deciding if there are going to bring them back but the military is asking for more troops. And their not sure if their going to be able to receive them.

Today I read about a drunken dad that started shooting at his daughters birthday. The man was a felon. 43 year old John Robert Nottle had been arguing with his wife. John then pulled out a 45. caliber and started firing shots into the ceiling and outside. Deputies found a homemade pipe bomb, several guns, throwing stars, a cane sword and double edged knives.
Interesting facts- he was arrested and booked for investigation of possessing an explosive device, shooting at an inhabited swelling and more.
My Opinion- I think that this is very sad and tragic. The girl ended up loosing her dad to prison.

Today I read about a SEC fraud complaint reach for settlement, a groundbreaking complaint brought by the securities and exchange commission against five former S.D. city officials linked to the city’s pension problems. In April the SEC charged the five officials with fraud saying that they misled municipal bond investors and Wall Street analysts by not disclosing the city’s looming pension and health obligations in five bond offerings in 2002 and 2003. Defense lawyers have since persuaded a judge to throw out two- thirds of the case including the allegations that the five engaged in a scheme to defraud investors. I believe that they should be more careful with who they make their business with especially now a days you cant trust anybody. I think that those five guys should not even get an opportunity to get their spot back and they probably wont, I think that they should earn it now.

What I read in today’s CNN news was about the death of John Travolta’s son, Jett Travolta. His son suffered from a seizure in their vacation home in the Bahamas. He was found unresponsive by a nanny, and a family friend who had a medical background tried the revive the young boy. They continued the CPR until the ambulance came. Travolta asked the ambulance driver to drive them to the airport where his private plane was. He wanted to fly his son to West Palm Beach hospital. As they got to the hospital, Travolta and his wife were told that their son wasn’t alive anymore. I feel very saddened of the death of John Travolta’s son, Jett. They could've just took him to a nearby hospital.
