Today in the Union Tribune I read about how Lt returns as face of chargers. Dean Spanos was not going to let LaDainian Tomlinson leave. “ What he’s done since his career started here, what he’s meant to the community and the fans and the organization, it was unthinkable he wouldn’t be here. Spanos spoke shortly after an accord was reached, with Tomlinson agreeing to take the pay cut the team said he must in order for the franchise and arguably its most popular player ever to avoid a divorce. Tomlinson credited Spanos with smoothing the way to the restructed three-year contract that will keep the iconic running back in San Diego.

Today in the news I read about Obama’s plan to better education. President Obama is pushing for better schools and more money in the budget after he got millions in the stimulus package. In Alabama news a gunman killed nine people including children and his family. The reason of this killing spree is unknown. In sports news LT will stay in San Diego. The chargers will get their star running back after all.

In today’s paper I have read that a molestation suspect and his thought to be wife were found dead in a hotel in flagstaff Arizona yesterday afternoon at about 2:30 pm. Flagstaff police found and one hairabedian,62, and a women dead in the hotel room. Oceanside police said Feb.. 19th the department’s family protection unit began to investigate allegations that hairabedian already registered as a sex offender had molested a relative under age 14 at his home. Detectives later then found out that him and his wife had fled Oceanside. Investigators learned Monday that hairabedian was staying at a hotel in flagstaff. An arrest warrant with a $1 million dollar worth in bail was issued against him on five counts of committing lewd acts on a child. When officers approached a man in the same description as hairabedian that man had ran from the truck and into a room. A few minutes later officers heard two gunshots and they went into the room and found hairabedian and the women dead.

According to the San Diego Union Tribune, several Rosarito beach officers were released yesterday. This statement can from a Rosarito beach spokesman. The Mexican military had detained these men for suspicion of links to organized crime groups while attending a quince in Eastern Tijuas. Yesterday four officers had been released without charges. Two other officers are still detained and being questioned. Rosarito officers detained were among the over fifty that had been detained during the round up of over 50 arrests. Among them was Angel Jacome Gamboa, a suspected drug trafficker and an ex-rosarito beach supervisor and ex-military. The resource of the informant who told police about quince is still unknown. Mafia men are probably still seeking the man.

In today’s newspaper article resource I read about a gunman that killed nine people and then shot himself in Alabama not knowing what he was seeking. This rampage took place across two southern Alabama counties. This man shot his mother killing her then burned down her house. Then he killed strangers and some children. He then ran up in a store and shot up some more people there. No one really knows what triggered this man to go on such afternoon bloody rampage. After the man had enough and was finished he then was chased by the police. He released at least 30 semiautomatic rounds in the police direction. He then went into a metal factory and shot himself. Another thing I read in today’s newspaper articles is that LT from the San Diego Chargers is staying in San Diego with a three year contract. He said he cant see himself transferring into another team.

Today I read about a trendy new thrift store that benefits from wealth of liquidated goods. Takes pride of place at downtown’s new City Digz, a hip nonprofit whose attitude declares, as only giant stuffed wildlife can, that this isn’t your grandmas thrift store. About 70 percent if its merchandise is new and all of it is picked to appeal to the young, the urban and the upscale. The store at 16th and Market that opened last week is also an experiment for its proprietor, Father Joe’s Villages, the conglomerate of San Diego homeless service agencies. People seem to like it so far and also liking the prices as well. They don’t only have clothes but they also have sports gear, vinyl albums, and dirt bikes. Keith McKay, vice-president of the retail store said they just wanted to try something new because we thought there wasn’t enough places in downtown for young people to shop, we figure we could always switch if it didn’t work, but it seems to be going fine. Well the store looks interesting I want to go check it out but then I feel lazy about it, plus i don’t even know exactly where is at.

In today’s paper I read about how Palm Avenue makeover is planned as ‘main street.’ City officials hope a redesigned Palm Avenue, a busy state highway running from Interstate 5 through north Imperial Beach, will promote shoppers and investors to visit more frequently. Imperial Beach has completed a $18.6 million plan to create a new main street that will entice drivers to stop and shop at businesses. In another story, 2 districts are looking at the Otay River for a new source of water. South County customers are studying whether and have concluded that it would be worth while to extract the precious water from the brackish Otay River near Chula Vista. The Sweetwater Authority and the Otay Water District are contributing to studies to determine weather or not the river could be a legitimate source of drinking water. In a final story, a teacher’s own parents volunteer in her classroom. For about 15 hours a week, Biesha and Jerry Yu practice their rare brand of parenting by helping out on campus at Lincoln Acres Elementary School. They arrive in Room 16 every Wednesday about 10 a.m.-after a 2 and a half hour commute from their home in Marina Del Rey on the coast of Los Angeles. They reportedly stay the entire day to help with the learning environment in the classroom, and even stay after school to tutor the young students before going home.
