Today in the union tribune I read about how a military jets was involved in a deadly crash in University City. The crash could have been averted if the pilot and ground crew had followed emergency rules for landing at North Island Naval Air Station, and if the plane had been removed from service when mechanics found a fuel problem. Marine officials said in strikingly candid remarks yesterday. Lt. Dan Neubauer’s decision to bypass North Island and head toward Miramar Marine Corps Air Station over populated areas has been criticized by many, including residents near the crash site. The Dec.8 crash killed a women, her two young daughters and her mother.

In today’s paper I read about how same-sex marriage has advocates from both sides that have similar high-stakes rhetoric. Jim Garlow, pastor of Skyline Church believes that on a broader scope of the definition of marriage, that this is about whether the social fabric will be torn by decimating the concept of the consent of the governed. Kate Kendell, executive director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights in San Francisco truly believes that the future of equality and the promise of justice for all hangs in the balance as the court decides which route to take. In other article, a hospital is fined maximum in a death. Scripps Mercy Hospital was fined $25,000 yesterday for the preventable death of a patient about a year ago at its Chula Vista campus. The patient was a critically ill woman who died after hospital staff failed to administer and conduct a saline solution that had been ordered more than four hours earlier. In yet another story, 6 corpses were found in three different locations. Believed to be due to drug-related violence, six corpses were discovered in three locations in Tijuana and Tecate. The victims included three men whose mutilated corpses were found with a message near the U.S border fence in Playas de Tijuana; two 16-year-old girls whose decomposed bodies were found off a road south of downtown Tecate; and a man whose body was found wrapped in a blanket on the side of the road in central Tijuana.

Today in the Union Tribune I read about a military plane crash. This plane crash killing four could have been avoided. The crash started to go bad from takeoff with makeshift maintenance and poor weather conditions. The pilot tried to do what he could once he was in the air but after many system failures he finally ejected. In other news Utah is leading in downloading porn. This is surprising because Utah is a conservative state. An bans a lot of things that other states allow. In Nevada a man was found guiltily of 22 felonies in a child sex abuse case of a two year old this is freaking sik man just outrages.

Today I read about the Padres and how they are changing there food prices. Mark Grant, one of the teams broadcasters, said there will be no price increase on any concession item in 2009. Also beer prices will be dropped as part of the Padre’s stimulus package. The cost of that $9 beer is being lowered a scant 50 cents. The team unveiled a menu of value meals. The “ 5 for $5 includes a regular sized hot dog, peanuts, popcorn, cookie and soda for $5. For additional $5, fans can swap the soda for a 16-ounce draft beer. Despite the fireworks, perhaps the least impressive price rollback involves the beer. They are having great deals that the fans are going to enjoy when the Padres play against the Los Angeles Dodgers. What they are trying to do is attract repeat customers. At Petco Park, the most expansive single-game seat is $69 and the cheapest is $5.

In today’s newspaper article I read about the three men that are missing. These men were out in the ocean off the coast of Florida in a 21-foot boat fishing trip. Two of these men are NFL players lost in the chilly Gulf of Mexico waters. Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, free-agent defensive linemen Corey Smith who played with the Detroit Lions last season and former Florida player William Bleakly had been missing since Saturday. Out of those three men only one survivor has been found after the three day search of 24,000 miles of ocean. The search was called off for the missing boaters. It was said that officials were sure that if there were any more survivors, they would have been found. A tremendous effort was given but the end of the line was reached and officials think families understood.

According to the San Diego Union Tribune I read about six corpse found in the cities just south of the border. In three cities, including Tijuana, bodies were found dead and authorities are still trying to find out if the bodies had something to do with the violence that has spread around the region and cities that are on the border of the United States and Mexico. Three men had been found along the border fence near Playas De Tijuana. Two 16 year-old girls were found on a southbound road leading to Tecate, and a mans body wrapped in a blanket on the side of a road in central Tijuana. Authorities said the Drug related violence in Tijuana had severely dropped since the months in the past. This month is only at nine bodies found but authorities are still investigating weather the deaths were involved with the drug cartels fight towards territory. Arrest have been made in both elements of the fighting gangs. The violence is not conduct that should be displayed in presence of children. The administrators of these gangs are still at large.

Today in the Union Tribune I read about the military. I found out that you don’t have to be an American to be a marine. Now they are accepting men women from other countries. Now they are trying other options just so they would stop wasting us soldiers. I believe that it is wrong because they are using and killing other countries sons. I think that this will start a fight on U.S. I also that they have already accepted soldiers. I know because the military had a ceremony.

In today’s paper I had read that the san Diego zoo is taking donations to benefit animals left homeless by the bush fires in Australia in January and February. The money will go to wildlife Victoria. They will use the funds for immediate rescue and care for animals. The money will go toward assisting wildlife Victoria in long term habitat restoration. In other news I have read that a 19 year old driver gets 4 years and 8 months in prison after killing his passenger and injuring others.
