Mexico offers $2 million dollars for information leading to any of the arrest of major cartel leaders. There are at least 24 men the Mexico officials are interested in. The list offers 30 million pesos (2 million dollars) in reward for at least 24 top members of cartels and 15 million pesos (1 million dollars) for any of there 13 lieutenants. On the list include two key members of the violence in border countries. Fernando Sanchez Arellano is the head of what is left of the one powerful Arellano Family Cartel. Also on the list is the member of the Arellano cartel that broke off to create a bigger more powerful cartel which lead to the bloodily war for control of the border city of Tijuana. The drug violence has cost the lives of more than 9,000 people since the President Felipe Calderon took over in December of 2006 when he decide to put a stop on the Drug Cartels.

Today in the news I read about Mexico. Mexico is cracking down on drug cartels. Mexican officials have offered rewards for top cartel members. Offering as much as 5 million dollars for head members. 3 million for generals and 2 million for lieutenant. Barak Obama said he is going to increase support on the border. Increasing spending as much 1 million in border patrol to quell the violence spilling over the border. The American government has already noticed an increase in kidnappings and killings in border states and cities. The point is to nip all this in the but. I think that this is crazy. I think that the president should help a little bit more in protecting us citizens from drug violence. In sports news the Aztecs got smacked by Stanford. The women lost 77 to 49 they had no chance against Stanford's defense. The lady tree’s tactical shooting drew blood and just kept kicking the Aztec’s while they where down. Back handing the Aztec’s with their aggressive style. The Aztecs were left curb stomped by the Lady Tree’s . I think the lady Aztec's had no chance from the beginning. Its to bad that the Aztec ladies where not good the other night but there is always next year.

Today In the Union Tribune of San Diego I read about a Paradise Hills resident who killed his wife then was killed by a cop after he charged at them. Willard Bradley’s wife kicked him out of the house two weeks ago with a restraining order. Yesterday, her frantic 911 call was too late. When police converged on her Paradise home, Bradley charged at them with bloody knife and slashed a police dog. Officers then shot and killed the man. I think this was a tragic event, it is sad how the world is now a days. I believe the man was crazy and deserved his consequences.

In today’s reading a convicted killer is likely to face life in prison without parole. Fanko Bernal, 22, and Samuel McCauley Jr., 24, were convicted in February of murder, attempted murder and other charges that were believed to be in connection with the slaying of two me and the wounding of a third. However, Deputy District Attorney said that it made little sense to sentence Bernal to death when he was ruled as McCauley’s accomplice. While McCauley committed all of the murders, Bernal simply drove the car in both incidents. In another story an armed robber collects cash and laptop computer when holding a store clerk at gunpoint. The man pointed a small, black pistol at the clerk at the market near Central Avenue about 2 p.m., police said. The gunman was described as being a tall black man who was wearing a ski mask and possibly gloves during the incident. In another story WWII vet had a heartwarming visit to the submarine that saved his life. His name is Harold Martin, and back when he was a curly haired Australian soldier he became prisoner of the Japanese, working as a slave laborer on the famous “railway of death” in the jungles of Thailand. After witnessing his comrades be lost to the see, the brave soldier was recognized by the American submarine Pampanito. When they picked Martin up from his withering raft, he was exhausted, and covered with fuel oil.

In today’s paper I had read that a French tourist suffered major injuries yesterday when she was thrown from a three-wheeled motorcycle her husband was driving. The woman who was 42 years of age was hurled against a fence. She was hospitalized with broken ribs, broken pelvis and internal injuries. The accident occurred about 2:50 pm as the couple were riding a rented three-wheeler east on San Pasqual valley road just east of the San Diego wild animal park. What had happened was that the husband had failed to make a curve and drove off the road. They said that the husband wasn’t injured.

Today I read about siblings on trial in slaying. A brother and sister carried out a plan to kill their stepfather, then the sister lied to cover their tracks. She told the police initially that a masked intruder fatally shot her stepfather, Timothy MacNeil, in his Rolando home, but the detectives became suspicious when she referred to the assailant by name. Prosecutor George Bennett said that the two almost pulled it off until she slipped and she called the killer Nathan. Up until that point in time, the evidence will show that Brae Hansen had been a good actress. The trials of Hansen, 19, and Nathaniel Gann, 20, are being heard in the same courtroom by separate juries. They have been charged with murder and a special circumstance allegation of lying in wait in the 2007 slaying. Hansen’s lawyer said she tried to withdraw from the plan, but her brother threatened her with a gun. They said Hansen was an immature 17-year-old who made a bad decision. She had been mad at MacNeil and wanted him dead. But she had a change of heart and pleaded with Gann to stop the plan. MacNeil was shot four times. Hansen called 911 that afternoon. She told authorities her stepfather had been surprised by a masked intruder dressed in black who demanded the combination to an in-home safe. The police found Hansen in a downstairs game room standing several feet from the body, her wrist bound with plastic zip ties. Neighbors told police they saw a person running from the home. The man drove away in a pickup nearby. DNA found on the gun used in the shooting matched Hansen, Gann, and their mother who previously owned the gun.
